Actually, Luke did managed to remove the fail safe feature on the Bat-Wing suit. But in doing so, he also removed his father's A. I. that was built into the suit.
7:43 Alice is the worst villain of any of the DC CW shows. She kills innocent people with no remorse and only gets away because Kate and Ryan pull a Barry Allen and think just telling her to stop killing will automatically make her stop only for her to keep killing. She's not sympathetic at all but the writers keep trying to force the audience to feel sorry for her by saying "Oh she was kidnapped, abused and hypnotised so it's not her fault" when it is. Why are the people in the CW Gotham City who've dealt with Joker, Two Face, Penguin, Scarecrow, Riddler and the like scared of an Alice in Wonderland cosplayer.
@@GIGio_Official half the problem is Alice is a character with nothing left. Her two biggest parts of her character, Kate Kane and Jacob are both long gone. So because these characters are gone she has nothing to do but clearly the writers LOVE this character. They will just not let her go and it hurts the show so much.

It’s good that their is at least some progress being made in terms of quality, but regardless those abysmal qualities prevent the show from becoming better, so the sooner those aspects are fixed/removed, the sooner Season 3 can be considered the best Batwoman season. Which isn’t saying much considering the writing of the previous two, but it’s the thought that counts.
15:54 Spoiler Alert: Mary's transformation was completely wasted by episode 10 and everyone went into hyper drive to excuse her actions (including killing three people) by saying she was controlled by Poison Ivy. This despite proclaiming she was happy in her Poison Ivy form in the prior episode. Otherwise, your analysis was spot on, because she was completely useless, as all her original connections to the show (Kate, her mother, and Jacob Kane) were all gone by the end of season 2. She could have been written out as well as Alice, but the writers decided to team them up instead.
see here's the thing if a show just starts getting "good" by like season 3,4,5 etc then what is the point in getting invested. shows like Daredevil,Punisher,Defenders,Lucifer,Last Kingdom,Altered Carbon etc are all great examples of shows because they had such a solid first 2 seasons and if the later seasons are still great then bonus but if the first seasons are crap and the quality only goes up slightly by season 3 onwards it's pointless.
honestly i prefer that than starting off with your best season. for example, flash put out its best seasons in the first 2-3, and now every season is compared to and seen worse than the first few. room for improvement, actually followed by improvement, is good imo.

First of all good video. You made some interesting points. I have to agree that Ryan seems more in sync with being Batwoman. The writers have tone down her preachy SJW talking points. Ryan’s family dynamics seemed forced and we don’t see her talk to her adoptive mom anymore so I can’t really see how family is really that important to her. She hasn’t been clued in with Mary or Luke’s problems this season. It seems that Luke is not allow to shine. The suit works better with the fail safe off. If they wanted a fail safe to get him out danger, have the suit fly him away. I wish the writers would let Luke grow like Diggle on Arrow. They should let Luke to some of the patrolling or take Marcus back to his mother but the plot won’t let him be competent at anything. Mary was confusing character through all three seasons. She seems to be that lost puppy to whoever she craving attention from. Then we hear how she doesn’t feel like she important to them from Kate all the way to Ryan and even Poison Ivy. It is real waste of her character. She say I need to step away and do my own thing to show that she is more than afterthought. It would have been cool to see Jada hire Mary behind Ryan’s back to fix Marcus. Somehow she old have ended up under Marcus’ control. Maybe a Harley Quinn would have worked better. Sophie and Alice’s characters have not been integrated into this season but forced. The writers need to stop trying to redeem Alice when Jacob is in jail for doing less than what she has done. The fact that Alice can walk around Gotham is insane. She was supposed to be this supervillain and no one cares. Unless it was public knowledge that Alice is helping then I don’t see how this storyline works. I thought once Luke became Batwing that Sophie could take the helm in front of the computer and worked with Luke on designing equipment since she could use her tactical skills from the Crows. Overall, I think the writers have wasted how the devices are used. The items are either recovered off screen or too easy. Marcus should have been more like Two-Face than The Joker. They could have played him more like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The Joker’s buzzer could have triggered where he episodes of madness if he doesn’t take a medication that stops the mental damage. That is why I think a Two-Face character would work better. Montoya and Poison Ivy arch just shows how that you can just do bad things and get away with it. All the death and damages that was caused by these two and they get to live on tropical paradise. Such a great message. Yes, I do blame Montoya because she didn’t realized that you can have feelings for someone who does bad things and still hold them accountable. That is why Batman hid Poison Ivy away. I will agree the premise was better than last season. The problem was there was too much minor villains that you can’t real developed major villains. Poison Ivy and Marcus is enough to have. The team is still not cohesive and that is why it feels characters are wasted.

At the time of me making this video I have watched up to episode 8 and while i like episode 8 these past few episodes have really dropped in quality, (or whatever quality the show had). It's like as soon as I give the show some kind of praise the writers thought we can't have that. Again this comes down to not having enough time to really dive into these characters. And now once again the plot is jumping all over the place. I just hope that the show can stick some kind of landing. Also I love the Mary Harley Quinn Idea. That would have actually worded really well even if you make Marcus more like Two Face, like how you suggested. But yeah great comment man.

I understand what you were praising and that is why I mostly agree with your analysis. I like to write short stories. Your ability to breakdown characters motivation and any inconsistent helps me think how I would improve something. For me, Batwoman’s writers really uses the show as soapbox for agenda most of the time. That is why question their morality choices when it comes to letting people go because of “x” reason. I think they had some great premise if they will allow their characters to be flawed characters. For example, the reason I suggested Mary for Harley Quinn is because she hasn’t really grown from season one. The writers never used the social influencer setup and student/expert doctor confusing. Her medical practice is either big or little depending on what the plot needed. Her medical expertises with the desert rose would be something Jada could used. It would be great to see Marcus manipulate her to thinking she is help him but she is losing herself to him.

I am liking season 3 of batwoman but I like Alice she fun and crazy and doas add some comady to the team and they have turned Alice into more of an antihero than a villain

I think the big saving grace for this season was the whole Poison Ivy storyline. I'm not just talking about Mary getting powers. Maybe I'm a bit jaded, but I _despise_ CW writers using LGBTQ+ characters for plot convenience. If it'd been any character but Renée Montoya in her place, making her decisions, half of this shit wouldn't have happened. That's probably just me, however. Ivy and Montoya are confirmed lesbian/bisexual in their source media, so my ire is likely unwarranted. It's just convenient how many times they pull the "surprise gay" trope in CW shows. It used to have a decent purpose for representation and such, but now it's just bleggghghgh.
No, it's not just you. Like every other legacy character this show borrows, they are pale imitations of themselves. They were chosen because of their value as gay tokens for the gay obssessed writers. I don't believe they actually care about them as individuals. Not only does the show have a gay bias. It also has a woman bias. Things that would typically be condemned in men, are forgiven for members of one or both of these groups. It's in keeping with this weird trend of not allowing female characters to be evil or bad people, including villains. Instead, imbuing them with victimhood to excuse their deeds.
This might be my last comment, but I think Alice is only on this show still because Batwoman might not have any other villains. I'm most likely very wrong, and this is a lack of knowledge on my part, but I don't know if Kate had other big villains like Alice in the comics.

That’s pretty much the exact reason. Alice IS Kate’s only major archenemy in the original run of her series. The original creative team left the book in protest before they could establish a strong,lengthy Rouges Gallery for Kate. The closest that new comics writers have come is making her dad a villain as well( he’s basically her version of General Sam Lane, Superman’s sometimes antagonistic Father in Law).
Some people only watch the show for Alice, and the actress is very close to the cast. So while she isn't needed on the show after season 1, CW will get better ratings and more viewers if they keep her

No it's not because instead of bringing in the actual Mad Hatter they just had a random guy pick up his stuff and start using it, instead of the real Killer Croc they had a kid turn into a creature like Croc after being bitten by him and before they brought Poison Ivy they had Mary turn into a brainwashed Ivy ripoff. The best character this season was poison ivy, it was so comic accurate and the cast was just perfect, bridget did a really good job. I'm curious to see what they do with Marquis, because i don't think he will get cured. Most likely in the season finale he will fall into a vat of chemicals and get his joker make-up. But imagine if joker appears and kill marquis, that will be so amazing, but it's literally imposible to actually happen.
I'd rather they turn marquis into the recent villain Cheer from the comics it would make for a much more interesting take on an existing character or turn him into a version of dana's brother Doug tan aka the joker king from the batman beyond comics. Instead we're getting a purple haired black joker / jokester knockoff OC.
I know this show established that Batman killed Joker, and that was the reason for him to disappear, but imagine if they pull out the unthinkable, and reveal that Joker was in fact alive - he tricked Batman into believing he killed him. The only reason he came back was because he saw Marquis and thought "There's only place for one clown in this city". In turn you can have Batman learning that he didn't kill Joker, and let him made his grand return. Problem with that is, it'd require CW to have functioning brains... And not shit on Batman.

However after watching episode 9 and 10, I am terrified for how this season may end because those two episode alone are fucking atrocious. I will definitely make a follow up video when the season is done, but i am going to pray till then.

I have been watching Batwoman with my sister from the beginning. I haven’t finished the video yet, nor caught up entirely so far, but I will say this: the “social commentary” if it even deserves to be called that, is noticeably toned down. A welcome change, given how poorly it was done before. However, this leaves more time to screw up characters. Luke’s surprise birthday PTSD comes from nowhere, and only exists to put him back where he was before he became Batwing. Ryan is as incompetent as she was before, but slightly less annoying. Mary cannot act well as a villain, and her motivations are just frustratingly petty. Poison Ivy, for the little ive seen, has lost almost all complexity and is just Plant Girlfriend to Montoya, who is also stupid (how long was she planning to stall with the joy buzzer? It’s not like she ever told them to find Ivy, that came from the convenience of Mary getting infected). Sophie still has 0 character outside of Lesbian, and we’ve got the usual “nothing makes sense, kill me” in short, “better” is a misleading word. I would say, “they only yanked out 7 of my teeth this time”

Best part of the whole show has been Alice, I wish for season two that actress just played both twins Kate and Alice. But season three I really like the actress who played poison Ivy. Her look was actually really good. The rest is terrible. Cancel the show and give Alice a spin off.

8:43 I’d say adding Alice to the Bat Team was a smart move on Montoya’s part. It added just enough chaos to distract the Bat Team for long enough that she could enact her plan. I mean, the whole reason she got that moment alone with Ivy was because of Alice distracting Sophie and Mary distracting Ryan, and Mary became full-villain because of Alice. Granted it’s unlikely that she knew that was going to happen, but it’s still a pretty safe bet to assume that adding Alice to Batwoman’s responsibilities would keep her occupied enough to not notice Renee’s behavior
To me the only improvements are the plot of season 3 and Ryan not being annoying everything else is Garbage, Alice is the worst, Luke being qtupid for no reasons, Marry hating on everyone else just because he friend didn't have time to play with her, also she acting like she was the Best person amongs the team, i'm still not forgiving her for being an ass to Jacob. Here is something else, they are out here playing with Alice but Jacob stays in Jail? And about the mental hillness thing? Slade Wilson was better than Alice, all day.

First off, Great Video! Honestly Batwoman is just a garbage fire at this point. I lost my faith at the Season 2 premiere because I actually was stupid enough to think that they would, you know, improve the show and have another actress as Kate Kane. Even with Season 3, I ignored it and the Arrowverse Crossover frankly because Ryan just leaves a bad taste after Season 2 for me. It doesn't surprise me that Season 3 was a joke, after all, the finale for Season 2 was just plain dumb. Doesn't surprise me that Season 3 was just the same if not worse than 2, I'd rather watch something like Flash/Legends/Superman&Lois over this anyday of the week, Thank God its coming to a close....hopefully.

I’m gonna be real, the only time I actually watch this show is when I’m washing the dishes. I fell so behind, that I am catching up as I’m washing dishes or unloading the dishwasher.
I like Alice's actress, but not the character. She formed a terrorist group out of daddy issues. One season about her family and she is still there in season 3. I think the writers wanted to redeem her villainy to be in the show this long, but didn't get there. Almost, but naw.
As a lifelong fan of all things Bat-related I am severely, I mean severely, disappointed in this show. I truly tried to like the show, ignoring all of its defects (bad plots and plot holes, defective characters, ridiculous writing) and wasted use and potential of villains but what little was left was still not good. I do love the fact that this show has renewed my faith that anyone, I mean anyone, can put on a costume and be an instant Hero or Villian without any training or unique skills. Although I'm starting to doubt this premise as I purchased several costumes and have yet to stop any crimes and the mayor hasn't answered my threats to reduce the price of metered parking 'or else'. However, much like this show I did receive a lot of laughter at my expense.
Season 3 of batwoman isn't the final season it would have been blowing up on the internet and the actors would have said something About Season 3 being their final season even the show would have said something Ab it being the final season but it's not the final season it's getting another season hopefully

Well, there are differing definitions of "good." To me, this show, at times, slips into the same so bad it's good flavour as Batman & Robin. Hell, Alice would feel right at home in that film. Her actress is hamming it up so much, behaving like a melodramatic nutjob I laugh everytime she talks. Has a bright future playing cheesy villains. A definite bright spot in this otherwise dank place. Honestly, none of these CW shows really do it for me. I enjoyed Flash's 1st season, but as the show dragged on it lost me. Too many speedsters, too much Iris love story which isn't a good thing because she's super aggravating. Overall, I'd say this universe isn't worth investing in given how often they've screwed the pooch. Piss poor, cheap CG doesn't help matters. I'ma stick to the Bruce Timm cartoons. Better writing, better acting, far more polished. #BTASForever.

Why is ALICE the multiple MURDERER just allowed to walk free? How many people are they going to let know Ryan is Batwoman? Renee Montoya knows…Who told her? Her “brother” knows,her mother knows. The way Ryan will just whip off her cowl in public she might as well tell the whole town. There are so many more.
you should make an updated video now that the season is over (if you want). i think a lot of your gripes with the show have been resolved in the back half, like alice leaving, and also filled a couple tiny plot holes in the process. the comic that just released made the season so much better in my opinion, because it added context to the whole paragon thing and how ryan is the new bat of the future. honestly s3 is the best season of batwoman, and it’s better than almost half of the flash’s seasons tbh

There's something to be said that you can't build up a good series after 3 seasons when the foundations are extremely p*ss poor, as is the case with season 1 and 2. This show need to knock it out of the park at least in the first 6 episodes of the first season but they dropped the ball. Since it's a Berlanti production they have ARROW as a blueprint to work off of and they did in fact use it but they quickly went off the rails when they tried to steamroll a seasons worth of character/story development inside of the first three episodes, and it got progressively worse as the season progressed. Kate discovering Alice is Beth feels more like a mid-season shocker. Alice killing Mary's mom should be the inciting incident that gets the ball rolling towards the season finale (or saved for season 2) and Alternate Earth Beth showing up is a season finale WTF closer. I get that Crisis may have put them in a spot, but good creative writers can work with restrictions. They also need to drop this turd-wave Feminism Crap, Lesbian is ALMIGHTY garbage, and making Social Commentary on things these writers are clearly too stupid to understand...other than pushing an agenda. I am shocked that this show is finally getting cancelled. Spite can only go so far.
It is a shame that we never saw Alice kill the original Madhatter and becomes the new gang leader or that she become an inspired version of Joker and destroy a lot of the city and become a real villaine to Batwoman. Everything would be better as her sort of anti hero story.

7:43 Alice is the worst villain of any of the DC CW shows. She kills innocent people with no remorse and only gets away because Kate and Ryan pull a Barry Allen and think just telling her to stop killing will automatically make her stop only for her to keep killing. She's not sympathetic at all but the writers keep trying to force the audience to feel sorry for her by saying "Oh she was kidnapped, abused and hypnotised so it's not her fault" when it is. Why are the people in the CW Gotham City who've dealt with Joker, Two Face, Penguin, Scarecrow, Riddler and the like scared of an Alice in Wonderland cosplayer.

So because these characters are gone she has nothing to do but clearly the writers LOVE this character. They will just not let her go and it hurts the show so much.

It’s good that their is at least some progress being made in terms of quality, but regardless those abysmal qualities prevent the show from becoming better, so the sooner those aspects are fixed/removed, the sooner Season 3 can be considered the best Batwoman season. 15:54 Spoiler Alert: Mary's transformation was completely wasted by episode 10 and everyone went into hyper drive to excuse her actions (including killing three people) by saying she was controlled by Poison Ivy. This despite proclaiming she was happy in her Poison Ivy form in the prior episode. Otherwise, your analysis was spot on, because she was completely useless, as all her original connections to the show (Kate, her mother, and Jacob Kane) were all gone by the end of season 2. She could have been written out as well as Alice, but the writers decided to team them up instead.

shows like Daredevil,Punisher,Defenders,Lucifer,Last Kingdom,Altered Carbon etc are all great examples of shows because they had such a solid first 2 seasons and if the later seasons are still great then bonus but if the first seasons are crap and the quality only goes up slightly by season 3 onwards it's pointless.
honestly i prefer that than starting off with your best season. for example, flash put out its best seasons in the first 2-3, and now every season is compared to and seen worse than the first few. room for improvement, actually followed by improvement, is good imo.

First of all good video. You made some interesting points. I have to agree that Ryan seems more in sync with being Batwoman. The writers have tone down her preachy SJW talking points. Ryan’s family dynamics seemed forced and we don’t see her talk to her adoptive mom anymore so I can’t really see how family is really that important to her. She hasn’t been clued in with Mary or Luke’s problems this season.
It seems that Luke is not allow to shine. The suit works better with the fail safe off. If they wanted a fail safe to get him out danger, have the suit fly him away. I wish the writers would let Luke grow like Diggle on Arrow. They should let Luke to some of the patrolling or take Marcus back to his mother but the plot won’t let him be competent at anything.
Mary was confusing character through all three seasons. She seems to be that lost puppy to whoever she craving attention from. Then we hear how she doesn’t feel like she important to them from Kate all the way to Ryan and even Poison Ivy. It is real waste of her character. She say I need to step away and do my own thing to show that she is more than afterthought. It would have been cool to see Jada hire Mary behind Ryan’s back to fix Marcus. Somehow she old have ended up under Marcus’ control. Maybe a Harley Quinn would have worked better.
Sophie and Alice’s characters have not been integrated into this season but forced. The writers need to stop trying to redeem Alice when Jacob is in jail for doing less than what she has done. The fact that Alice can walk around Gotham is insane. She was supposed to be this supervillain and no one cares. Unless it was public knowledge that Alice is helping then I don’t see how this storyline works. I thought once Luke became Batwing that Sophie could take the helm in front of the computer and worked with Luke on designing equipment since she could use her tactical skills from the Crows.
Overall, I think the writers have wasted how the devices are used. The items are either recovered off screen or too easy. Marcus should have been more like Two-Face than The Joker. They could have played him more like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The Joker’s buzzer could have triggered where he episodes of madness if he doesn’t take a medication that stops the mental damage. That is why I think a Two-Face character would work better.
Montoya and Poison Ivy arch just shows how that you can just do bad things and get away with it. All the death and damages that was caused by these two and they get to live on tropical paradise. Such a great message. Yes, I do blame Montoya because she didn’t realized that you can have feelings for someone who does bad things and still hold them accountable. That is why Batman hid Poison Ivy away.
I will agree the premise was better than last season. The problem was there was too much minor villains that you can’t real developed major villains. Poison Ivy and Marcus is enough to have. The team is still not cohesive and that is why it feels characters are wasted.

At the time of me making this video I have watched up to episode 8 and while i like episode 8 these past few episodes have really dropped in quality, (or whatever quality the show had). It's like as soon as I give the show some kind of praise the writers thought we can't have that. Again this comes down to not having enough time to really dive into these characters. And now once again the plot is jumping all over the place. I just hope that the show can stick some kind of landing. Also I love the Mary Harley Quinn Idea. I understand what you were praising and that is why I mostly agree with your analysis. I like to write short stories. Your ability to breakdown characters motivation and any inconsistent helps me think how I would improve something.
For me, Batwoman’s writers really uses the show as soapbox for agenda most of the time. That is why question their morality choices when it comes to letting people go because of “x” reason. I think they had some great premise if they will allow their characters to be flawed characters. For example, the reason I suggested Mary for Harley Quinn is because she hasn’t really grown from season one. The writers never used the social influencer setup and student/expert doctor confusing. Her medical practice is either big or little depending on what the plot needed. Her medical expertises with the desert rose would be something Jada could used. It would be great to see Marcus manipulate her to thinking she is help him but she is losing herself to him.

That's the thing though I can't get behind Alice because rather than the show punishing her and having her learn from her crimes, they try to excuse it because she is a mental case.
I think the big saving grace for this season was the whole Poison Ivy storyline. I'm not just talking about Mary getting powers. I mean with how they introduced OG Ivy into the Arrowverse, who's actually casted perfectly in my opinion, and how she was portrayed in this show. Just saying.

Maybe I'm a bit jaded, but I _despise_ CW writers using LGBTQ+ characters for plot convenience. If it'd been any character but Renée Montoya in her place, making her decisions, half of this shit wouldn't have happened.
That's probably just me, however. Ivy and Montoya are confirmed lesbian/bisexual in their source media, so my ire is likely unwarranted. It's just convenient how many times they pull the "surprise gay" trope in CW shows. It used to have a decent purpose for representation and such, but now it's just bleggghghgh.

No, it's not just you. Like every other legacy character this show borrows, they are pale imitations of themselves. They were chosen because of their value as gay tokens for the gay obssessed writers. I don't believe they actually care about them as individuals.
Not only does the show have a gay bias. It also has a woman bias. Things that would typically be condemned in men, are forgiven for members of one or both of these groups. It's in keeping with this weird trend of not allowing female characters to be evil or bad people, including villains. Instead, imbuing them with victimhood to excuse their deeds.

That’s pretty much the exact reason. Alice IS Kate’s only major archenemy in the original run of her series. The original creative team left the book in protest before they could establish a strong,lengthy Rouges Gallery for Kate. The closest that new comics writers have come is making her dad a villain as well( he’s basically her version of General Sam Lane, Superman’s sometimes antagonistic Father in Law).
Some people only watch the show for Alice, and the actress is very close to the cast. So while she isn't needed on the show after season 1, CW will get better ratings and more viewers if they keep her

The best character this season was poison ivy, it was so comic accurate and the cast was just perfect, bridget did a really good job. I'm curious to see what they do with Marquis, because i don't think he will get cured. Most likely in the season finale he will fall into a vat of chemicals and get his joker make-up. But imagine if joker appears and kill marquis, that will be so amazing, but it's literally imposible to actually happen.
I'd rather they turn marquis into the recent villain Cheer from the comics it would make for a much more interesting take on an existing character or turn him into a version of dana's brother Doug tan aka the joker king from the batman beyond comics. Instead we're getting a purple haired black joker / jokester knockoff OC.
I know this show established that Batman killed Joker, and that was the reason for him to disappear, but imagine if they pull out the unthinkable, and reveal that Joker was in fact alive - he tricked Batman into believing he killed him. The only reason he came back was because he saw Marquis and thought "There's only place for one clown in this city". In turn you can have Batman learning that he didn't kill Joker, and let him made his grand return.
Problem with that is, it'd require CW to have functioning brains... And not shit on Batman.

However after watching episode 9 and 10, I am terrified for how this season may end because those two episode alone are fucking atrocious. I have been watching Batwoman with my sister from the beginning. I haven’t finished the video yet, nor caught up entirely so far, but I will say this: the “social commentary” if it even deserves to be called that, is noticeably toned down. A welcome change, given how poorly it was done before. However, this leaves more time to screw up characters. Luke’s surprise birthday PTSD comes from nowhere, and only exists to put him back where he was before he became Batwing. Ryan is as incompetent as she was before, but slightly less annoying. Mary cannot act well as a villain, and her motivations are just frustratingly petty. Poison Ivy, for the little ive seen, has lost almost all complexity and is just Plant Girlfriend to Montoya, who is also stupid (how long was she planning to stall with the joy buzzer? It’s not like she ever told them to find Ivy, that came from the convenience of Mary getting infected). Sophie still has 0 character outside of Lesbian, and we’ve got the usual “nothing makes sense, kill me” in short, “better” is a misleading word. I would say, “they only yanked out 7 of my teeth this time”

8:43 I’d say adding Alice to the Bat Team was a smart move on Montoya’s part. It added just enough chaos to distract the Bat Team for long enough that she could enact her plan. I mean, the whole reason she got that moment alone with Ivy was because of Alice distracting Sophie and Mary distracting Ryan, and Mary became full-villain because of Alice. Granted it’s unlikely that she knew that was going to happen, but it’s still a pretty safe bet to assume that adding Alice to Batwoman’s responsibilities would keep her occupied enough to not notice Renee’s behavior

Honestly Batwoman is just a garbage fire at this point. I lost my faith at the Season 2 premiere because I actually was stupid enough to think that they would, you know, improve the show and have another actress as Kate Kane.
Even with Season 3, I ignored it and the Arrowverse Crossover frankly because Ryan just leaves a bad taste after Season 2 for me. It doesn't surprise me that Season 3 was a joke, after all, the finale for Season 2 was just plain dumb.

I’m gonna be real, the only time I actually watch this show is when I’m washing the dishes. I fell so behind, that I am catching up as I’m washing dishes or unloading the dishwasher.
I like Alice's actress, but not the character. She formed a terrorist group out of daddy issues. One season about her family and she is still there in season 3. I think the writers wanted to redeem her villainy to be in the show this long, but didn't get there. Almost, but naw.
As a lifelong fan of all things Bat-related I am severely, I mean severely, disappointed in this show. I truly tried to like the show, ignoring all of its defects (bad plots and plot holes, defective characters, ridiculous writing) and wasted use and potential of villains but what little was left was still not good. I do love the fact that this show has renewed my faith that anyone, I mean anyone, can put on a costume and be an instant Hero or Villian without any training or unique skills. Although I'm starting to doubt this premise as I purchased several costumes and have yet to stop any crimes and the mayor hasn't answered my threats to reduce the price of metered parking 'or else'. However, much like this show I did receive a lot of laughter at my expense.
Season 3 of batwoman isn't the final season it would have been blowing up on the internet and the actors would have said something About Season 3 being their final season even the show would have said something Ab it being the final season but it's not the final season it's getting another season hopefully

you should make an updated video now that the season is over (if you want). i think a lot of your gripes with the show have been resolved in the back half, like alice leaving, and also filled a couple tiny plot holes in the process. the comic that just released made the season so much better in my opinion, because it added context to the whole paragon thing and how ryan is the new bat of the future. honestly s3 is the best season of batwoman, and it’s better than almost half of the flash’s seasons tbh

There's something to be said that you can't build up a good series after 3 seasons when the foundations are extremely p*ss poor, as is the case with season 1 and 2. This show need to knock it out of the park at least in the first 6 episodes of the first season but they dropped the ball. Since it's a Berlanti production they have ARROW as a blueprint to work off of and they did in fact use it but they quickly went off the rails when they tried to steamroll a seasons worth of character/story development inside of the first three episodes, and it got progressively worse as the season progressed.
Kate discovering Alice is Beth feels more like a mid-season shocker. Alice killing Mary's mom should be the inciting incident that gets the ball rolling towards the season finale (or saved for season 2) and Alternate Earth Beth showing up is a season finale WTF closer.
I get that Crisis may have put them in a spot, but good creative writers can work with restrictions. They also need to drop this turd-wave Feminism Crap, Lesbian is ALMIGHTY garbage, and making Social Commentary on things these writers are clearly too stupid to understand...other than pushing an agenda.
I am shocked that this show is finally getting cancelled. Spite can only go so far.
It is a shame that we never saw Alice kill the original Madhatter and becomes the new gang leader or that she become an inspired version of Joker and destroy a lot of the city and become a real villaine to Batwoman.
