Elden Ring - Messmer (RL1 Hitless, 0 Scadutree Blessings)

predictably the toughest yet, other than maybe Bayle for different reasons
the double-slash frame trap can be tilting in just how fast you have to react to the initial swing, almost feeling like you need to be predictive. considered using the Fine Crucible Feather talisman to input a single backstep before dodging the roll-catching second slash but stuck with rolls
frost really does wonders, so here's to a no aux kill in the future. also one where i learn the crouch starts for his airbone flurry attack

Hey how are you able to proc red tearstone ring for this?

when i'm ready to start actual attempts i just proc it like most do with Seppuku (plus Assassin's Gambit) and make a save state with Save Organizer. from there load the save state and disable the Writable toggle (from within Save Organizer) so Elden Ring doesn't overwrite your prepped RTSR. if you get hit and die, just quit out, continue the game, and your original save state will load with RTSR proc'd
you do waste time since you have to load in twice, but it's still faster and less work than having to re-equip Seppuku/Gambit weapons and proc from scratch. once i beat the boss i just re-enable the Writable toggle in Save Organizer, turn on No Death in ERTool, and kill him once more to progress the save
for practice i just tick the No Death and 1 HP flags in ERTool (and disable the Writable flag on the save), but i don't like to use those for real attempts
