Rebuilding A Wrecked 2018 Jeep Trackhawk Part 6

- This build just got even crazier!!! We completely stripped the interior of the track hawk so it doesn't get damages during the frame working process. We had to remove everything piece by piece and we cant imagine how its going to go when we put it back together. We still got a bit to go before that but we are ready for anything that comes our way. We cant wait to get this build back on the road. Thanks for watching!!!

The amount of content these guys brings us every two days, packed into a 20 minute video WHILE explaining what they’re doing, what they’re going to do, and why they’re doing it is incredible. August will be my one year anniversary subscribed to this channel. Fell in love when I first found it.💜
Colby Baxter Absolutely totally agree! My son and I can’t watch enough.
I’m on the same page!!! I wish they would tour for a meet & greet
Considering how much BS they spew out, it's not really that impressive.
Phillip - Alright Phillip just because you’re jealous there’s no need to be rude
July will be my second year of watching this INSANE content😍
I love how I don't have to wait a month for each episode, yet there is still a lot of progress. Thanks for these videos!
12:00 That orange rope is for disengaging the transmission to neutral. You need to slide the button to unlock before you pull the cord. (manual park release)
Has one like this in some of the dodge rams under the dash as well. Assumed that was what it was.
It’s actually to release the electric emergency brake when the battery is dead
It’s like nomadic julien started it to place the transmission into neutral. There is a little tab that you have to depress to be able to pull up on the lever
They need to mod it so it does the Ejecto Seato
Puts trans into neutral when battery is dead. Cause car needs to be on for brake release to allow you to depress the button to move the lever the normal way. Same thing in all Jaguars.
Orange cord.... “shifter safety interlock with a keyed release”. It’s mainly used so you can shift gears with a dead/disconnected battery .....since you have to use brake pedal to actuate with battery installed.
I was hoping somebody had already stated it before I had to type a paragraph 😂
I found that out the hard way on my Durango last week
MPR (Manual Park Release) cable and latch. My company makes them!
Shift gears? Unless they changed it in the newer models (or there's a more hyper technical description outside of the manual) Pretty sure it was to mechanically put it into neutral when it wont start so you can roll it off the road/onto a truck bed (probably just said the same thing in dummy speak lol)
Sitting in my Grand Cherokee while watching this! Didn’t even know the head rests did that 😂 Thanks guys! Best of luck with the build!!! 👍
Nice bro what year u got?
Why are they wired? Electronic?
They shouldnt do that....its a crash system anti whiplash these guys just dont know, those headrests need to be replaced
@@davidwright5281 No it's not. Jeeps just do that
@@coryviewssmart3957 .
The headrest has a sensor that immediately pushes the headrest out once it sense an accident , and this way it protects the neck from braking ... thats why there is a wire , and it has to be reset after u fix the car through computer system. Same as the airbag reset or convertible head bar protectors. Otherwise the headrest will not be functional again . Its not manual to move
Khloe the ace girl gang they asked and he answered?? What’s wrong with you? Lmfao
@Khloe the ace girl gang Dumbass, atleast he is trying to help our boys
I'll second that. You can still adjust the headrest up/down like any other headrest, I believe. But if you don't plug the wire back in it'll keep throwing a code/light in the future.
Huh! Cool to know that. Wow, we've given so much control to sensors and chips for even simple but necessary things like headrest controls.
I think the system was invented by Volvo.?
“Dude” was said 33 times in this video. Averaging one “dude” every 43.7 seconds. “Dang” 13 times, once every 1 minute 51 seconds. and “Sucker” 11 times, once every 2 minutes and 11 seconds. Mathematically speaking every 25 seconds you can expect to hear one of those 3 words.
And we all know they can do even better! 😆
Dude
I’m taking requests for the next video. Whether it be “Dude” “Dang” “son”.
there was a least 15 "you know what I mean" this vid
@@jonc5508 I request you also count the word legit.
I just love the fact that goonzquad is CONSISTENT with their content. Keep em’ coming!

Dude what an absolute nightmare it will be putting that back together. I Respect the patience you guys must have to do these builds. Looking forward to seeing all the progress along the way.
Keep it OEM and. Graft on. A windshield post and roof from a wreck
Same.. it gives me anxiety to see people strip down vehicles.
There is NO WAY I would find every bit , bolt , screw , tab , etc. That would be required to fit it all back together.
I am an old man and I stumbled upon your videos. Good to see bright young men rebuilding the wrecked cars and trucks and SUVs. Plan on watching till the end. ( hopefully never ends)👍
Just saved my life, I was about to go practice wheelies on my motorcycle.
Me too bro...what a coincidence
G
Get used to using the back brake, it will help in the long run
Lol
🤣🤣😂🤣 stop
When I see all the parts, I am very sure that I would never get the vehicle together again.
That's why they put everything in separate bags and label them. Like "hood bolts" "center console bolts" "back right door"..most shops do this. At least the ones I've worked for.
I'm not entirely sure I'd be able to take it apart.
Lots of videos and pictures
Ian David same
I can do it but ,Its a refridgerator after that....
Moves at 1 mph and doesn’t steer the wheel at all. “This thing just feels so much lighter” 😂
But for real, great content. Love watching these car rebuilds because it has taught me a lot about cars I didn’t know before
So true; two years ago i didnt know beans about anything now i feel i could rebiuld one myself
As a 40 yr old man.... I must say I LOVE your videos! I find them incredibly interesting. And I can’t stop watching. I look forward to YOUR videos when I want to relax and watch tv. My 5 yr old son and I are absolutely fascinated by what you do. I wish I was in the auto body business. I no longer need Netflix, Disney+ or the networks. This is the content I love. I come home after work, open a beer or drink a margarita, kick my feet up and watch YOUR videos. Nothing else on TV interest me anymore. Just you and some of the urban explorers like the Proper People. I just want you boys to know how relevant you are. Never change. And never stop making videos.
I love when they have a new build cause its like "what does this do *part breaks* oops, well we can fix that later" 😂😂
They always breaks things 😂😂
You're right😆
Marquise Thomas make better then OEM.😂😂😂😂

Guys, use more emoticons. Looks so smart.
Been here since getting OEM parts meant going to the junkyard!

Ahh yes,good old times 😂
These guys should be so proud from where they came from it’s amazing to watch you guy’s progress
How the heck did we get to part 6 already? Feels like only yesterday you boys unveiled it for us. Now we have 2hrs of footage??? Fantastic fellas! Keep 'em coming. =D
Holy cow you two. I quietly laughed to myself when you started taking this all apart, as the harder part is putting it back together!! For me, it'd be 'No Way'! I admire what-all you tackle & restore. Your parents have gotta be glowing about the incredible guys you've turned out to be. So many of us truly enjoy what you've accomplished thus far in life. You are definitely role models for the youth of America. Congrats on the 2-mil viewers. I'm grabbing a t-shirt when my next SS check comes in. Peace.
That red sting is the shift override to put the car in Neutral A lot of Chrysler vehicles have them.
yea that s right its the same in the land rover discoverys. if it dies in gear it puts the car into neutral
Boooo... I wanted it to be an ejecto seato 🤣
That Red rope is actually the emergency Park release, the guy was right, you use if your battery dies or in some emergency situation
MANUAL PARK RELEASE
I believe it is something the dealer has to reset
22:34 “Be careful now, it’s a cold start billy” I’m deaddd😂😂😭😭
They rarely mention there names. Lol
:)))))))))))
Billy the "dude", nice guys Lol
I know he is Billy but who is the other guy never heard his name, is it dangson 😂
His name isn't Billy. Strange, how people still believe that.
WOW, it is amazing how COMPLEX these cars are built. Looking at the seats alone...Seems to be very complex with all the little parts, connectors, etc. You guys are awesome in the patience you have to do all this work. This is a difficult resto
I tested positive for corona so now I’m stuck in the house watching goonzquad haha love the vids !
If that's true guess you were the ones that did not believe the virus even exists
Max I’m so sorry to hear that I hope you get better soon
Rip
Many Poor it’s not too bad
Makai Taylor thanks means a lot
Y’all just made my day!! I love watching y’all doing builds. I was having a crappy day until I got the notification that y’all posted!! Makes being at work go by faster. Thank you for that!
This has to be the most interesting channel on UA-cam I will literally be at work and will stop what I’m doing when that notification comes in!😂
I'm the same way
I can't even imagine tearing something like this apart! And this putting it back to OEM.
Too much damaged, it won’t be OEM ever.
“Almost OEM!”
sometimes better than oem in a lot of cases
Just stumbled upon this and became hooked on your rebuilds. I don't do the work myself, but it's always been a dream. Fan from Newfoundland, Canada. Watching the Lambo now and waiting on the jeep.. Keep them coming..
the orange pull tab in the center console is to put it in neutral when the batteries dead, you have to push the metal pin where the lock symbol is down then pull the string.
keep up the awesome content guys!!!
that iconic intro gets me all the time...'what is up guys!!!' niceee
Catchy
Its starting annoying
Its annoying as hell.
Can't wait to see VTuned work his magic on this!
Me to, he’s work on the framemachine is true magic 👍👍👍
The “tint” is actually called solar shield. Most newer cars have it. Bad thing is, is that it’s quite expensive to replace
What link u gift?
And most SUV's and Trucks have this applied darker to the rear windows.
Bobby Brady My Elantra gt has it as well but it’s incredibly dark and I know it’s not “aftermarket” tint because there’s no line indicating where it would’ve been cut.
Cars have film on them from the factory? In Europe it’s all part of the glass so it can’t be scratched or anything. Aftermarket should be the only way that you end up with that film....
DANG SON I am so fascinated by this TrackHawk project tear down and rebuild. I haven't been this interested in a build since TAVARISH Lambo..
It's cool to watch you guys because you're young but you really know your stuff⭐👍
20:15 Pops truck looking a little light in the back!
They replaced the fuel pump
😂 hilarious watching these guys learn new things. Awesome to be on this journey.
Hey y'all have the seat belts out already, it would look really good with red seat belts throughout that beast. Especially with the less common red paint..👍🇺🇲🦅
You two guys made me subscribe, I’m really impressed on what y’all have done so far. Can’t wait till the next video. Keep up the awesome work guys.
These are the most excited guys to watch do the same thing over and over again....always with a new car though so the challenge remains the same but the vehicle changes and it is amazing that I have watched as many as I have. You guys have the secret sauce. Take care dude's.
I’m so positive that this build will be finish properly quick just like the Jeep gladiator you guys are great and don’t play around with work. Keeep that up.
Goonzquad “What is up guys” all of us “just waiting for you” 😂
That's happening with me each video!! Xd
Lol Lmao “it’s a Jeep thing... Ultimate weight reduction.” 🤣 also 6:39 those headrest have a small reactor, during a collision, push your head forward. Also guys if you’re major fans of the goonzquad guys they’ve inspired me to start my own channel. I would love your guys input on how I’m doing so far. Here’s the link, ua-cam.com/video/dyExrl0VQkk/v-deo.html . Thanks so much guys! Thanks goonzquad!
hahaha
Hey guys, enjoy the channel. Lots of fun watching. Appreciate the positive approach you make toward the content and adversity in general. Great job.
I took the dash out of a 1998 Chevy Tracker once to change the heater core. When it was all said and done, I had a just small cup of screws left over. I would never want to do it again and it was a lot less invasive than a freaking $90k computerized Trackhawk. I don't know how you guys will ever get all of that put back together. Be straight with us and show us your "leftover" fasteners when your are finished.haha Good luck, fellas! Enjoy watching you guys every day.
I love the hard work and dedication this guys put in to this cars. And there so positive!!!!
The window you removed from the door is built like a windshield: two layers of glass with a plastic layer in between. The plastic would be what's tinted. Many SUV and vans have tinted rear windows from the factory.
You’re mostly right the darkness of the glass is actually the glass
20:20 Pop's truck has the bed off. Either this was filmed a while back or they are converting to a flatbed, maybe?
i saw that too. was going to say something about it ,but seen your post
i think pops should hawe towdisc on it
Fuel pump went out....they posted on their snap a day or 2 ago
No. They're replacing fuel pump or fuel level sensor. They posted a story on IG
They are doing the fuel pump I saw it on the Instagram
No fooling around at Goonzquad. Hard world an great ideas to make it each time just enough better than stock. Love it!
There gentlemen are so much more pleasant to watch than the "reality" TV car rebuild shows, these two keep it actually real. Keep it like this guys!
laminated glass means there's a film layer between 2 piece of glass so when you bust the glass it doesn't shatter, just like windscreen.
Fax
@Khloe the ace girl gang What's wrong with you man? You're all over the comment section lol
@MG Stevens they're a kid lol look at the name
When are you guys going to give something back to your subscribers or at least do something charitable?
Goonzquad: if someone has built it, it can definitely be taken apart.
Discovered this channel recently and have been absolutely binge watching all builds!! Clicked out of police charger build to watch this! Keep up the great content boys, good stuff!
You really are fearless, the pair of you. Well done and keep up the great work in entertaining the world.
Awesome progress. Can’t imagine my Trackhawk being taken apart like that, but it’s fascinating to see every part being removed. Can’t wait to see you put it all back together.
yo the best channel ever from qatar stay safe guys and waiting for this amazing project to finish
You should install a Hennessey Tuning Kit at the end to really make it rip
The wire in the headrest is for the active headrests in the case of a rear end shunt. Also laminated glass is to help with noise reduction. Maserati Quattroporte's have tripple lamininated glass to create a silent buble inside.
I thought laminated glass was special sticky plastic sandwiched between 2 layers of glass so if it gets hit the glass doesn't explode an fly everywhere
@@petejones961 you are right.
Guys, I love your channel. My understanding, is that they are head restraints, to prevent whiplash injuries from rear impact. !!!! They are restraints, and not rests. You are correct. If you need to rest your head on them, you shouldn't be driving !!! Keep up the good work. Matt from the UK
I do enjoy watching you boys you always think outside the box and always try new things and new projects and push you comfort zone to learn and adapt with new things keep it up thoroughly enjoy watching your videos carnt wait to see another beast be finished
How in the bloody hell do you take that much apart and remember how it goes back together
Pictures and bag labels

SNIPA353 - Lol good question!
watch footage backwards
It puts the car in neutral when the battery dies or you need to get towed
ya what this guy said
What no there is a release someplace to put it in neutral. What happens if your on a hill and the battery died?
cbchevy74 use the brake pedal?
I love their vids their so entertaining and we can learn from them 😁
exactly right
I am aircraft mechanic, but my respect to this guys are incredible what are they doing, from south america. Awesome
Love to see how you all catalog and organize the parts in order to put them back in the right places.
The rope it’s a neutral switch I had to do it when my moms Chrysler 300 s ran out of gas and the battery earn down
Can confirm, I have a Grand Cherokee 2014 and that is what its for. Must be the similar on all Chrysler products. You can pop it back into place after pulling it.
Must have electric gear shifter. That is how you get it out of park to neutral to tow it, or move it with a dead battery. My Ram has one in the dash.
Cory Absi duh it’s mopar big dawg
Dang son
You guys should really disconnect the battery when doing stuff Like that to make sure you don’t short circuit anything and damage it
Goonzquad: we film one episode in 2 days.
Me: I want to watch you every day!
You could just write what you want to say, without using this pseudo dialogue format. It gets pretty annoying, reading this stuff under every video.
@@Adlerwacht dude just dont come to the comments your the annoying person just relax it
OMG when I see the incredible nightmare the interior is in I just know these genius boys will work their magic and make it 'better than OEM' ...the way they talk and their enthusiasm is so refreshing living here in self-important pretentious Seattle. I get lost in a world I wish I shared.
Goonsquad channel should have 10,000,000 Subscribers by the end of 2020
Heck NO DUDE in 2021 GIVE THEM 100,000,000 SUBS
"That sucker rit there is expensive" Lmao. Count how many times they say that. Haha
I can't stop thinking about the amount of plastic clips they break while disassembling the whole interior 😂
Many of the clips are sold in packets of several to dozens- some will break no matter how careful you are, so fiddle the odd looking ones and go quickly through the common ones.
Dude they're professionals... 😑
Nirjhor singha you ever remove interior body panels? You are absolutely bound to break one or two or several clips regardless of how pro you are.
@@nirjhorsingha6622 I mean, they kinda are, but like, some of that plastic trim they have no clue on how to remove it.
@@fredericrike5974 yea thats exactly what I thought, some of those clips will break no matter how careful you are.

Headrests have a wire because it’s part of the active restraint system. They pop out during an accident.
Also electric tilt positioning I think
yup I just read a lady had hers go off for nothing and slammed in the back of her head
BMW for exemple some models have a pre-tensor and activate when car crashs
@@mib20000 I think there is a class action lawsuit about them faulty deploying
This is a pretty common setup in Chrysler products. I had a few of them when I worked for the car rental company I used to work for.

"You take your doors off, you take your windshield off, you just get that Freedom Flow"
new shirt idea? :D
In the shop I work at, the body guys call that tented glass privacy glass. That’s the first time I seen it laminated, but I don’t get much time in the body shop anymore. Keep up the great work.
Hey guys. So for the glass. The reason it has 2 peices stuck together is more for noise control. Just another way to make the vehicle as quite as possible. I didnt know that they came with a tint in it already. I'm not sure if you knew it was for noise but if not. Then it looks like we both learned something new!! I love your videos and I cant wait to see another build. I know myself and a lot of buddies of mine would like to see an old truck rebuild. Like a 70s k10 or k30. Old square body trucks. Would definitely be a new challenge for you. I've done a few myself and would love to see how you guys respond to it!
Can’t wait for this build to be done! It’s gonna look sick keep up the good work

How do you guys feel knowing that you are just looking at a camera, living a normal life. But 2M people are watching you?
What happened to Pop's truck at 20:20 in the background?
Flatbed conversation
They changed the fuel pump
Something to do with te little problem they have that the fuel gauge doesn’t work
Probably overlapping builds. They may be waiting on parts for one while they work on another. Keeps the production going.
They didn’t pay their bills so they took the bed as collateral 😂
17:23 watch out for the money that’s coming out of your pocket😂😂
Dang son, good observation.
Thomas took it and spent it all on treats :D
Goonsquads content on cars is far above anyone on UA-cam !!!! Keep up the awesome work guys my fav channel by far !!!!
I've been reviewing the trackhawk since it came out. I believe there is a break in period of so many miles driven then launch control can be used and it also wont engage if your gas is too low. Please correct me if I'm wronge. This is so far my favorite builds!!!

the wire should be for active headrests that blow forward typically when rear ended
Yeah, looks like a SRS connector for the wiring.
That is exactly what it is.
6:44 those headrests have an active deploy feature, but it is broken. There are 1000's of complaints from customers saying that they just deploy while driving.
Nice

we call them headrests, like freezeplugs, That's really not what they are. they are head restraints, to prevent whiplash if you get rear ended. Freezeplugs are actually there to empty the sand from the block after it is cast.
I wish you guys the best of luck to put that back all together.
I've watched the "whole entire" series so far... it's been entertaining and "very unique". Redundancy aside, good work dudes.
