In this video, we embark on a challenging hike through the jungle to reach our hidden spearfishing spot. Once we dive into the crystal-clear waters, we target species like table boss, kumu, and moana kali, all while respecting the ocean and practicing sustainable harvesting. As a special treat, spinner dolphins surprise us with a visit, adding magic to the day.
After a successful day of spearfishing, we prepare our catch back at camp, making a mouthwatering dish of authentic fish and chips. Through it all, we reflect on why food plays such a vital role in Hawaiian culture and the significance of catching and preparing your own meals.
