I remember when Joey took over the 20 car for Joe Gibbs and people said he was too young but all that experience and work paid off for him

All the "beatings" his first few years by Kevin Harvick, Jeff Gordon, Matt Kenseth and some others helped make Joey Logano the championship driver he is today. Congratulations Champ, you earned this one too!!
He was able to hold his own against all those baby men who are considered role models for some reason. I gave never liked Jimmie Johnson but I have to give him credit for never resorting to childish fighting.

@@dedo7326 I was a big Kenneth fan until in 2003 while being a couple laps down driving a wreaked car. He put the race leader Lagano in the wall robbing him of what could now have been his 3rd title. I know the full story, but his issue could have been handled off track. I think that fits the title of being a baby and that's actually being kind.

I know what u mean. I hated his guts when he drove for Gibbs b/c of Toyota. Growing up, we hated Earnhardt just for driving a Chevy. Now, with Toyota it makes me not want to watch. Anyway, good for joey! And ford too:)

Say what you want, but Joey wins almost everytime NASCAR does something new. Winning at new tracks first like Bristol dirt and the LA coliseum. And when they bring a totally new car he wins the first race and the championship. I see him Winning at least two more of these before he's done.

As much as I'm a fan, I don't see it. I can see him being a 3 time like Cale, Pearson, Tony, Darrel to name some, maybeeeeeee 4 and match Jeff. But 7? Nah. Not the way NASCAR changes the system so often and with newer talented drivers coming in. If he were a consistent dominator, then perhaps the odds would stack up but it's as much skill and timing as it is luck.
Only in the playoffs format he couldn't win a real championship

I'm a NASCAR fan through & through. Can't believe they sold the fan out. The awards program only available to watch on Peacock, and even there you have to buy the premium download. I'm sure somebody made $ with that decision but your bread & butter fans took it in the gut! How do you grow more fan interest with decisions like this?
It wasn't a Nascar decision, it was the networks that decided this event didn't draw the ratings that would make it profitable.
@@edveltoven3185 Sorry but Peacock is owned by NBC who contracted with NASCAR to air the second half of the season. NASCAR profited from that relationship. You can bet NASCAR got a cut of the awards being on pay for TV Peacock. If $ was not an issue, why didn't Peacock run the program on their free level of the app?

Another joke , just like the Chase , Playoffs or whatever you call it, they need a point system like the original Season long system like most other Series and eliminate stage breaks . Eliminate Competition Cautions , if tires or the track is an issue let the teams make the decision to pit or not .

Can't watch practice and sometimes Qualifying . Forcethe FANS to hunt for the coverage of even races and if there is a delay switching to another channel. If Nascar knows a time that coverage may be moved to another channel, how about posting coverage will be moved ahead of time in your tv listing. Post race coverage being on the streaming service makes unavailable to a large portion of the audience, and like the channel shift if trying to record the race for work or otherwise is another slap in the face because you are not going to watch before you see the race. Trying to find later, you only get snipets. Sorry for thr rant and could go on but I am sure NASCAR will not read or do anything to rectify the situation.

Spec cars now and teams are very very limted now. How about fake caution flags to bunch field up that caused many wreaks. NASCAR should just build the cars, setup pit crews and just hire drivers. Racing now somewhat boring its almost about how many crashes can happen. Racing in my area tried spec cars, spec engine and series died I wonder why. They went back to what they had before but still don't enforce claimer rules
