    Stacy, we are very lucky that you bring us along with you. I can't thank you enough. There is a tremendous amount of work that goes into each of these videos and the quality is so professional. I've never been to England but it is on my list. There are many beautiful regions to visit and it's impossible to go everywhere on the first trip. It gets overwhelming because one doesn't know where to start. Have a great week.

      I'm thrilled that you join along with me for these visits 🥰 I find history and houses like these completely fascinating and love sharing their stories here on youtube. I hope one day you might get the opportunity to visit England and see some of them yourself as they really are wonderful. I think it's always difficult when travelling to a new place, working out what to visit. Of course there is a desire to visit all the most well known locations and I think with England it is particularly difficult as we have such a density of history and places to see. I'd definitely recommend some of the lesser travelled parts of the country, some of my favourites are Northumberland, Wiltshire and Kent. They are all so very different and have such an abundance to offer! Happy October x

    I live in New England and I love those old English Villages.
    I watch mostly English television now, and enjoy the shows set in an English Village.
    The newer Father Brown and Poirot are my favorites. I've watched them so many times I have to take time off to tey to forget 'who dunit'.
    T.Y for these little trips.
    Can you just imagine living in one of these homes when they were still alive and buzzing with activity with people living in them?

    I really enjoyed this video, as I always do! It was fascinating to hear the history of these buildings. Thank you soooo much for sharing these hidden treasures with us. :)

    THIS is a 'must-see' venue that has been off the scope of American travelers. Were I still able to travel to Britain, I would have this on my priority list. I should say 'these' venues: they each are lesser known gems.

      They really are wonderful pieces of history, and very much left off the tourist radar. It's a fantastic problem to have here in England, there's 'too much' to see! Even living here I don't think I'll ever fully explore everywhere I want to. But I'll give it a bloody good try!

    Stacy such a lovely video. You always do such a nice job. You have found the most exciting choices of the Cotswold's! You do this in such an unhurried way and it makes it more enjoyable, Thank you! Loved them all, and think it would be hard to choose.

    That was lovely! Like your music choice; like that your tours are brief and factual and filmed just as if I were there, including bits of nature and the villages i admire now from afar. Bless you!

    What a treat to see three beautiful places in one video. It's hard for me to pick a favorite, but if I had to it would be Chastleton House. There's something about its romantic shabbiness that tugs at my heart.

      @theslowtravelsfamily  Рік тому +1

      They're all such wonderful properties :) I'd be very hard pushed to choose too!! But I do have a soft spot for Chasleton 🥰 It shares such a fascinating story and I like this it's a little rough around the edges

    Gorgeous places! I have to admit to not being interested in the more refined, palatial houses like Chatsworth etc - I prefer these more humble, ancient piles, especially presented as a snapshot of the lives of the people who were last to be there. It'd be great to see all 3 one day. ❤

    I love this video of these lovely houses. My favorite was Chastleton House. I love the style and architecture of the home. So sad the fortunes of the family dwindled so. The music 🎶 in the video is wonderful. Please continue touring homes for us to see.

      I have a soft spot for Chastleton too 🥰 I like that the National Trust left it pretty much as they inherited so that it shows the decline from grandeur, it really tells the story of the house and its occupents.

    This is lovely as are all your videos. They put me in an oh so good head space. Just to clarify though, as a major Samuel Pepys fan, this would have been his great grand nephew likely as Samuel unfortunately for all his efforts, had no children. Keep up the wonderful work you do and thank you!

    Another lovely video from my favourite UA-cam creator. I love the way you film these lovely houses and the varied information you give about the people that lived in them. Seeing the traces of their lives and struggles makes them really come to life as human beings and makes me want to learn more about them. Thank you.
