@Bill Fuckyourmom lol. It might be a groweronya type album. Like Sol Invictus for me. Did not like it at first but ended up loving it. And I definitely think it's better than that new garbage Tool just released.
@@michaelbutler9005 Okay, but that's TOOL. I'm saying a whole solo album/DVD that is all Danny playing to his tripped out synth loops he makes. Just like ten tracks of pure craziness like Chocolate Chip Trip and all those he done live for a long time now. I'm sure it wouldn't take him that long and fans would dig it no doubt.
Unfortunately, I beg to differ! When they were in the US earlier this year, many set lists were going around and one had this thing called "CC Trip" which was just Danny. People then started to speculate! Glad I caught it and was one to think it was along with new material!
Chance W Cool cool. It’s just that in months leading to the release of the new album, and specifically since they started playing Invincible and Descending live, those were considered the only two new tracks. I haven’t even heard of any speculations about a potential third song. Good catch, Chance.
@Bill Fuckyourmom it's an interlude track. Tool has always included interlude tracks on their albums. You're telling me that Ions has more of a reason to exist than CCT? I mean, the 6 actual songs on FI combined are like 75 minutes of music. That's plenty for me.
@Bill Fuckyourmom It very much is. They even stated it when they revealed the track list (which didn't feature any interludes) that it just as much as a real song like all other tracks on the album.
@Bill Fuckyourmom Take away the interludes and there are still 7 proper tracks on the album, and when you take away the interludes it is still the longest Tool album to date. Also it is 80 minutes long, therefore it can't be an EP. When you manage to write something this complex and good and put it out, and someone calls it an EP, I think you'll be as much of an asshole as you are right now.
I remember in the first 10,000 days tour at the O2 in Glasgow, Danny did a drum solo very similar to chocolate chip trip and it went right over everyone's heads. When it was finished people were either so blown away in awe or they just never got it, Maynard just kinda went "ok then" and they continued with the gig. It wasn't until I heard choc chip trip that I remembered that😆
Ironic considering he's a space alien. Someday soon, Danny, Les Claypool, and Slash will take all the worthy people and create a new party planet on Mars. Deadmau5 can come too as long as he brings the weed and beer
That’s only one kit not two. Don’t see a triangle either. Definitely the best version of this track I’ve seen so far. It’s the closest to the album version.
It feels like im going through a jungle from another extraterrestrial planet 😅. The way that Danny synchronizes his drums with his synths is just ♥️♥️♥️😮😮😮

Gavin Harrison and Mark Guillana come to mind. The field has only a handful of the best drummers on earth at the moment. Dana Carvey in Wayne's World party time excellent wooweeewoooweeewoo
how is that surprising ? he has ton of experience, and you're still in a great shape at 58 years old if you maintain yourself regularly like danny does

Oh like years of experience Don't count for anything?! It's really, not that shocking.. Most people who've been doing something longer than someone who hasn't are usually better at the task....thats how life works its not rocket science
Think Danny has got into into maybe 70's German Synth and experimental muisc , since the last Tool album there has been a flood of re-issued under ground Synth music for Germany and other parts of Europe and the US . DAF , Cluster , Harmonia , to name a few . He used to use a EMS Synth so those people banging on about no synths please should take a look at some of his set up videos . And the band have used synths for backing before . Great Band excellent Album.
I'm at odds as to whether I should dislike this video because it's not chocolate chip trip, it's just another sick Danny Carey solo OR like this video because it's just fucking straight up beastly drumming by the king himself
There are many masters of many crafts who are legitimate and dedicated students of their respective "games", but RARELY is there revealed a pupil who ascends in their field and transcends their craft to reach a point from which the "game" studies THEM to improve itself and to evolve and progress. Danny Carey is absolutely one of those examples.

It's happy for sure :) For all Tool fans, no matter if they like new album or not.

I could listen to a whole album of Danny jamming to his crazy synth loops. He should do one. I'd buy that no doubt.
Same.
And release a clinic DVD of it

It's Danny. Expect no less from him. He's in a league of his own. The same goes for the whole band. That's why it's TOOL. Top of the line.

to be fair, every track is Danny's own track on every album
He also had Faaip de Oaip and Merkaba but this showcased his talent much better.
