I really liked this video and your overall approach to whole diet and being skinny thing. You were very spontaneous and gave some good advice! Totally agree with your take on “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” 💪🏻 Keep up the good work! Kisses from Italy 🇮🇹 😘 p.s. don’t worry about not using the proper words or explanations, you were very clear and said legit things (I’m a med student and can confirm everything you said)!

YES girl!!! You have it figured out!! Throw out the scale, forget about calorie counting, just eat healthy and yes, go to the gym for the way it makes you feel...not to loose weight and YES...forget about running on a treadmill for an hour...I wish gyms would just stop putting so many cardio machines in there...ladies...pick up the weights! This is what I have learned as well through the years, what you have said is what works best and it is healthy. I wish more women could think this way rather than starving themselves, being miserable and going to the gym as some sort of punishment for not sticking to their diet. I am like you, not an expert, but, I have been physically active all my life (and I'm 40 now, so I have a fair bit of experience I'd say!) and for me it is just part of my life and I can't imagine life without staying fit. I also agree with you on the importance of switching up your fitness routine frequently because your body DOES get used to a routine and you need to keep changing things in order to keep your body guessing and performing at its best :)

The thing with the addiction is so true. If I eat sweets on a regular basis, crave them literally everyday. If I manage to don't eat any sweet for a few week the cravings are completely gone. industrial sugar really is addictive.

Loved hearing you talk about Healthy Eating!! I was overweight for a lot of my life, miserable and counting calories, endless cardio but never losing a pound. I had to lose my health completely to really research some of the things you talked about and completely change my lifestyle and most of all my belief-system. Now as a healer & nutritionist I understand the reasons why a whole food, plant-centered, low sugar diet works to keep us slim & full of vitality. I'm at my best weight now & couldn't agree with you more that No temptation is worth putting that in jeopardy. It does take commitment to eat well, but the rewards are well worth it. I wish I had your tiny waist & slim long legs, but you're right I can dress for my body structure & with your help look even better. Keep preaching the good advice & inspiring people to give up processed foods filled with chemicals & GMO ingredients!

Hi Laura, I love your videos!! One thing I would say is that for some people dairy can cause break outs and even cystic acne. As someone who has always had skin issues I pay attention to these things. For other people though, they can consume dairy all day long and have perfect skin. Listening to your body is key.

I appreciate that you stressed the importance of gut health, this is not something that is known by most, but is so incredibly important. I agree with your overall concepts but would add that for someone who has a substantial amount of weight to loose, some of these tips would not apply, such as " you can't get fat by eating too much of the good stuff". This is perhaps true for someone who is slim, has never been overweight, has a good strong metabolic rate and has a physical fitness routine. For someone who needs to loose weight, calorie counting is a very real necessity and eating too many "good things" such as nuts, avocado, fruits etc, all high in calories and fruit high in sugar, will in fact impede weight loss. Your tips I think ring true for someone who is living a similar lifestyle to yours, which is what you are familiar with and what u are speaking on. I don't expect you to know how someone who weighs 300. Lbs should approach weight loss :)

There is nothing bad with fruits! The brain runs on glucose, it can process it. It’s very different to eat a spoonful of isolated refined sugar, and eating whole foods (like a banana) which our body can make full use of

From getting always informed on good nutrition you are right on it my dear. You are doing all the right thing and I need to do this too. Not hard to do but I am too easily influenced. So you feed very well on the right food and snack and juice. It’s all perfect. I used to be your body type but gained weight on the tummy since I am 72. Still not an excuse but your video encourages me to stick to the good stuff. I have to insist more on nuts and veggies. Merci so much for this video and yes I have the natural yougurt also and I had crushed grain in it and add a bit of maple syrup wich has a lot of antioxidant and tastes great because I am in Canada and we have lots of the best quality. Juices are something I don’t drink enough

Everything that you’re saying is absolutely true and works. I’m a 56 year old mum of two and am between a size small or maximum medium. My mum calls it instinctual eating. Never starve. Eat when hungry. And eat the right kind of food. Always be active.
And yes….I have also never calorie counted and we do not have a weighing scale at home. If the jeans fit and look right…who cares what my weight is.

That's very interesting. There are some similarities when it comes to you and me ;) I used to be a professional cyclist and had (won?) some victories at a few championships of my country.
And the knee injury... I got it too... Laura, I hope your knee is better now. I've got a recommendable orthopedist who have been healing a lot of Polish, famous athletes.
You literally eat meat in a way I eat :) We just don't eat mammals :) Yes, the metabolism matters a lot. I also was a slim kind of child. That's why I don't have any problem with the metabolism now.
I will post this video on my FB :) Of course a thumb up! :)

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have known how to pronounce it either, just like the people who market it outside of Greece. I'm an EFL teacher and I can assure you that there's absolutely no way to know how to pronounce the brand name if you're not Greek. I happen to be Greek, so I know how to pronounce the word, which is actually not really a "name", but a verb in the imperative which means "eat". Almost everyone I've heard, pronounces it like she does. I'm just making a useless, cultural remark. I personally think she's wonderful. Funny, gorgeous, sophisticated and extremely witty, this video a case in point. Down-to-earth and so simple. Love her.

I think I heard a commercial pronounce Fage as ‘Fah-yay’. Lol and yes, thrush is an overgrowth of candida in the mouth which is the same thing as overgrowth of candida in the gut. Also the same thing as a vaginal yeast infection, just different locations on the body but all the same organism. Probiotics and low sugar diet will definitely help keep that under control

You are a million percent right!!!
Once you gain the weight even if it is for pregnancy, the body will tend to be that weight.
I lost 70 pounds by fasting 16 to 20 hours a day, eating low carbohidrates, eating real food, not processed.
Lost the weight easily, didn't exercise, at 280 pounds and in pain didn't want to.
Now, at 210 feel like moving, feel like working out, know how to do.
My doctors and chiropractor gave me the green light.
Good news is I eat two to three times a day, until full.
I can't eat as much as before, think my stomach shrunk.
But, I eat like two cheat meals a day.
Sunday ate corn chips, bread with butter and small chocolate.
Honestly, with that don't feel like wow have off-limit foods, can't do that, this can lead to binges.
I no longer crave or eat, sugar, dairy, anything which comes in a box, eat whole foods, perimeter of supermarket.
People congratulate me for doing such a great effort, but I tell them this is easy and I'm never hungry, they can't believe it.
I don't eat between meals or fasting window.
Good luck to all of you.
She's right on point, I guarantee it.

Oh Laura must share my overnight oats recipe, which is Soooooo delicious and soooo good for you I promise... So half cup of oats In A bowl, add almond milk with some cold water, sliced apples, dried dates or apricots, little teaspoon of chia seeds that have been soaking in a glass of water overnight, mix all around and cover with a little cellaphane and put in fridge overnight, in the morning add a little more almond milk and add some berries and some natural yoghurt... Eat and enjoy, after having a big glass of hot water added with lemon juice which will start the digestion love you paula x

Good video👍With weight training you keep on burning calories even after your workout is done. With cardio - you only burn during it. Btw you are one gorgeous girl and so down to earth❤️

Going to random pages to leave this comment... Had a conversation with someone trying to eat what I eat to stay thin, leaving this comment: No. Not true...So, I find the more time goes by the more I realize a lot of things I used to believe is more or less an illusion with a few exceptions. In this case, I just cut off my fast food eating habit. So 2 months in, and I cut out sugar. Just make a lot of burgers at home and eat a lot of high calorie foods. My breakfast is half oats mixed with half shredded unsweetened coconut. I just looked up the calories for the shredded coconut, and alone it's about 1200+ calories. It could be just me but a lot of the time in public people seem to stare. I thought for all my 20's it was because I looked like a drug addict, or my face just looked rough. It sounds like paranoia but no, it has been a real problem day to day. Now 31 I thought cutting sugar might help me look healthier and get less stares. Nope. I just studied in a cafe and had someone ahead of me look back about 6 times. Very friendly, it's hardly ever a malicious thing. I just realized it was probably because I am skinny and feel relieved. I just borrowed a scale and calculated my BMI. it is 16. They may even just think I have an eating disorder. Which to be honest is likely in the opposite way. While eating near athaelete level calories kept me hovering 100lbs. I just want to break this illusion that it is someones fault. I see people gain weight after a few desserts and have to work to get it off. I am not better or work harder in anyway, in my case it is 100% genetic. My siblings do gain weight easily, If they did eat what I eat and sit on their ass all day like I have been, they would gain a lot of weight. Ditch the skinny person habits because my daily habits are of an extremely overweight person. I guarantee it. Yet for some reason I am now 92 pounds. When I see videos like this I cringe because I understand it from the "skinny" person view. It's not true.

I like this video! However, I've read a lot of myths about starvation mode and how people think skipping a meal slows your metabolism. That isn't necessarily true.
“A lot of times people think they’re going into starvation mode when they skip a meal or fast for a day, and that’s truly not the case,” Philadelphia-based Joy Dubost, Ph.D., R.D. Unless someone has a prolonged, dire lack of access to food or an eating disorder like anorexia, it’s very hard to go into what Dubost describes as “complete clinical starvation mode.”

I have heard the slogan that think of your body as a temple. Be respectful what you bring into.
    I hate scales also.
    Great video. Thanks for sharing.

FYI That is not natural yogurt, unless you are just saying yogurt without sugar. Natural yogurt still has all it's delicious fat in it. Bulgarian yogurt, the kind without sugar is THE BEST!
