Selection Handles and How to Use Them (for Toon Boom Harmony Premium Cut-Out Rigs)

  • Selection handles can save SOOOO much time when added in good places throughout your rigs. They can also be super useful for maintaining consistent size relations between your characters and props.
    Parts of this video you may find unique or interesting:
    00:16- Parenting up and down with B and Shift B.
    00:52- Creating a selection handle with a drawing layer and visibility node.
    01:46- Selecting the selection handles in the Camera View.

    Hello..Matt, thank you so very much for the tutorials. Have been learning a lot. Kindly could you explain, how you made the Master handle for sizing reference(character lineup). Thank you once again.

      Hi Walter. Thank you for the comment. To make the handle, I just make a drawing layer, draw an ellipse on it, paint bucket with a semi-transparent swatch, and then add a Visibility node below the drawing layer and uncheck 'Soft Render'. OpenGL should still remain checked. That means you will be able to see it in OpenGL (the working view in the Camera) but it will not render out.
