Bottom row of the punch in fx is all midi if I remember correctly ! Sick jam, sick vids, sick vibes, been watching for years at this point thanks for what you do Ricky
One other cool thing with midi on the ko2 is live replacing samples with sound+typing sample number to create variations, midi stays the same ! Been having lots of fun with this
I’m always blown away by the way you quickly get things out of new gear. I wish I had a fraction of your ability to do that. Of course, I’m older and not in the electronic music industry, so I suppose it’s to be expected… but, man… keep ip the good work Enrique!
Once again, Acapulco Gold @Ricky Tinez! So sick when you realize the effects effect the MIDI as well. :D Always a pleasure seeing you jam and explore! Greetings from the Lowlands!
Ricky has G.A.S. It’s ok especially for a content creator it makes it attracts viewers you can see by the way his fingers are moving over those samplers he is very familiar with the gear he is using. I am not criticizing Ricky he seems like a very chill dude who knows what he is doing… I have been tuning in for years even though his videos don’t even really apply to what I’m doing except I like synths and electronics music..I think having or using these different pieces of hardware is how I started watching this guy in the first place…I use software now….it might be fun to have like one drum machine or an analog synth but where does it end….
Oh snap. I didn't think that the punch in effects would affect the midi as well. This has some potential. So far, I've just been using the KO stand alone. I do believe it's time to bust out some more gear. 👏😁
Great video! Can you make video about a workflow between EP-133 KoII and the SP-404 Mk2. Using the SP404 for sequencing patterns and the EP-133 for sending midi (staying in scale/key) . And using the effects of both.
Dude I was really on the fence about the Ep-133 but seeing how that effect effects midi made me really want one. I love midi effects we need more hardware sequencers and stuff with them. Wonder if this has any other cool tricks like that?
I want a new sampler but don’t know what to buy. Digitakt seems a bit expensive… is it really worth it? I’m primarily looking to use it for Jungle/D&B breaks, but wouldn’t mind some interesting sample mangling/adding character/making original sounds. Thinking Circuit Rhythm or Roland P6, any recommendations? I do like the PO33, just wouldn’t mind more memory, is the KO2 the solution?
Digitakt is a great option. As a sample mangler in its current state it is still under developed in my opinion, but there is talk of more functionality in the future. While I would not suggest buying gear for features that might be added, as a one shot drum machine sampler it is the best I have ever used. I pair it with an octatrack for sample mangling/chopping. If you are looking for alternatives to the K.O., I would look into the SP404 mk2.
Hey I'm a subscriber and I'm working on a Jazz album with my Flugal Horn and Trumpet I would like to collaborate with some of your work if possible. My name is Regi~Cain.
That’s how I feel about the devilfish 303 mod and would never do that, but this is awesome cuz you still get the portamento and accents but no more of that linear pita shit. I basically see it as upgrading a decaying cpu from 1983 to a cpu from 2023. Plus you get the noise back to the sh101 inside :p
The compact creations comeback is the best comeback to date
Lol "the track before I hit the sack" - now that's a bedtime routine! 🙌
That 's one way to interpret that
@@theroyalcrane There's a joke about "beats" in there too but I'm not touching that (that's what she said)
The excitement of learning something new on a piece of gear is the best.

Your excitement is infectious 🤩
One of the coolest UA-cam video producers videos I've seen
Dang! That came together so well so quick. I love that feeling.
Holy shit I need to see more ko2 midi madness! That whole sequence at 9:22 was so banging
I’m always blown away by the way you quickly get things out of new gear. I wish I had a fraction of your ability to do that. Of course, I’m older and not in the electronic music industry, so I suppose it’s to be expected… but, man… keep ip the good work Enrique!

Greetings from the Lowlands!
The fact that the fx also effects the midi is one of the things that attracted me to the KO
How does he do to make the FX affect the midi, I didn't get it ?
10:07 love the buzzing off KO2
that house loop is boss Rick!
Literally the coolest punch in effect ever had the exact same reaction
That 202 😍🤩😍🤩
A joy right?! MIDI out on fxs when has that happened before! Love the reaction! ❤

That modded mc 202 is dope! I want one.
Amazing to watch and hear you work
That bassline with the effect got wild. Another master class session with Ricky.
I have not mastered the sample chop jazz thang yet, sensei.
Chop the chords and bass notes you got it. I usually play chords and sample them for a similar effect
Ugh.. that 202 sounds so good!
yer chops are levelling up...sick vibe
Love this track so much.. Absolutely filth!
Made me eBay search for a MC202

9:26 Fire
Sounds like something off a Cafe Del Mar album. Chill Ibiza vibes.
Ko2 is king
Leida geil!✌️👌🥳🎹🎹🎵🎶💃🕺
Hey Ricky, are you going to try the new Roland Sampler? Amazing Jam as usual 🔥🔥
Be honest...You just posted this video to show off your Tubbotec MC-202. 😄😉

It’s the best actual. Yes, best walk up the stairs for now. 👍
this was dope
Wish i could like the video twice!
Excellent
Being this early is wild
I like “celebrate Life”! ❤
that was strangely emotional for me too!
I’d love to see more mc-202 info! Didn’t know that existed. Modern mod??

Compact Creations
Ou Yes Ou Yes 🥳🕺🏻
bruh ..that...pitch randomization thing that ''affects the midi'' ..and is also in key............. even the gates. so fkin WORKING PERFECTLY .
I’ve been on the fence about the 202 upgrade. But this looks like a ton fun. Any regrets?
this is awesome !! but do you realize that now wee need a full jam with this energy ?
Can i PLEASE purchase a nine minute version of this session as a song?
Throw it all but the bass through a 3630 lol
Dude I was really on the fence about the Ep-133 but seeing how that effect effects midi made me really want one. I love midi effects we need more hardware sequencers and stuff with them. Wonder if this has any other cool tricks like that?
Lost in the sauce ❤❤
Rickys a drunk?
I want this beat to play every time I walk into any office …..
You really gotta try the new kaosspad with the ko2 the lil nts3 is magic with the ko2
Are you gonna play with the Roland P-6? It seems like something you'd love
Something Moodymann-esque to this track...
Mc 2oh2 tubbbtec is my holy grail synth they sure don’t make them like they use to I’m so sad I don’t have one by 1500 is way tooooo much for that
✌✌
maybe use that beige synth you couldn't ve been arsed to review properly? That one you use as a bass trap, in the corner.
hey rick, wahat do you think of the new p-6 sampler by roland? it might be a good alternative to the ko II it seems more sturdy on video
Is there a separate video about your 202?
2nd or 6th "degree of the scale" is what I think you were trying to say. But I'm also kind of dumb about that stuff.
getting pretty jealous here on my german couch, man...
Wish I never sold my 202!!!!
🦁🦁🦁
How would I set up my sp404 mk2 to do something like this?

Akai will surely do a new mini mpc soon...
What? WHAT?!! 🤣

What affected the midi?
🤍🤍🤍
The brilliance of the 202 is the original sequencer. This new one is an abomination.
That’s how I feel about the devilfish 303 mod and would never do that, but this is awesome cuz you still get the portamento and accents but no more of that linear pita shit. When my midi gets affected it is never a good thing.
First
What a waste of time
It's a good waste of time though.
Reeeeeeal badman 🫶
