      Welcome to Seoul, Korea
I overly welcome you with a warm heart.
Seoul has 140 embassies from diplomatic countries, more than 40 universities, and 13 large luxury department stores, including 19 world-class general hospitals (including university hospitals) and The Han River, which connects Seoul's Gangbuk (the five major palaces such as Gwanghwamun, Myeong-dong, Cheonggyecheon and Gyeongbokgung, and DDP Wangsimni, ) and Gangnam ( Famous for its Gangnam style sung by singer Psy, has numerous skyscrapers

All of these places are located in places where it is not difficult to get from Incheon Airport by public transportation such as subway or bus, or by walking on the street. There are many cafes and tons of delicious, healthy food that is cheap and unique to Korea.

Great trip down memory lane for me. I was stationed at Yongsan in Seoul 1991-1993, and really enjoyed it (although winters were a bit brutal at times).
The people were friendly and welcoming, and it was so easy to get around using the subway system. After work, we'd hop on the subway and get off at some random stop in a neighborhood we had never been to and just wander around. Always felt safe.
I remember all the different types of kimchee. Some were mild and some were so spicy my tastebuds were toast for a few days. 😂 The yaki mandu fried in a giant wok over a 55-gallon drum in the streets of Itaewon was a great snack.
The city definitely appears to be more modern compared to 30 years ago, but that's to be expected.

2:44 - Slight mistake there. 'Banchan' are the names of the various side dishes that come with most Korean meals :)
The name of this meal is 'hanjeongsik'.
Plenty more of Korea to explore! Come back soon!

South Korea has always had a strong coffee drinking culture since it modernized after the Korean War. Traditional coffeehouses were called "da-bangs" where young ladies would serve coffee and refreshments mostly to male customers, so this is definitely not a "recent" phenomenon. If I'm not mistaken South Korean per capita consumption of coffee is on par with North America and Europe. Hope you enjoyed your visit to my motherland in which I'm planning to relocate after 40 years of living/working in the States. So looking forward to a new adventure in the second half of my life.

11:31 Your narration "Korea has long history of being colonized and ruled by Japan since the 16th century" is wrong. Korea was never colonized by Japan except for 35 years from 1910 to 1945. What happened in the 16th century was not "colonization" but invasion by Japan in the year 1592 that lasted for 6 years, ending in Korean victory when Japanese forces withdrew in 1598. The historical name of war is Imjin War. Actually, what is not known well is that for most of the East Asian history it was Japan that was at the receiving end of Korean aggression: Korea invaded Japan twice during the Koryo dynasty and again twice during the Choseon dynasty that succeeded Koryo.

    John 3:16 Context
13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
