I remember this song because of the most important thing my dad taught me. It was hold on to damn good friends because now a days people like them are hard to come by.
Good friends are hard to find, but when you find them hold them close and don't ever let them go because one day they will be gone forever and it's then that you realize and appreciate all they meant to you and done for you.

My dad passed away and I've been listening to this song in repeat for the past 3 days. His funeral is Saturday and it's going to be hard but this song has helped me in such an amazing way. My dad was always that damn good friend to me and everyone else. He didn't care what anyone thought if you were his family ,blood related or just by friendship he had your back. Thank you so very much for writing this beautiful song!

Still here in 2019. this song is one of them true to life songs, lost a few "friends" i thought always had my back but when i was diagnosed with cancer a year ago, well they aint around today, i can count on one hand the true friends i have had behind me the whole time through the fight for my life, and still to this day. They call to just go hangout, its not like the ones that only call when they need something.
