- Residents of Khan Younis have started returning to the southern Gaza city, but there is hardly anything left to salvage in the wake of the months-long Israeli offensive. The Israeli army on April 7 announced it was pulling out troops from the devastated city. Much of the area is now in ruins after months of Israeli bombardment and heavy fighting between Israeli troops and Palestinian militants. Khan Younis is "not a city anymore, only rubble", one resident said.

It seems like all pro arabs always start the history in the well choosen year of 1948 after the coalition of arab countries attack on what they thought was a weak oponent. However this conflict is more complicated than that and the process behind it is both long and complex. A lot of people seems to think that the palestinians are a homogenous group and are ” natives” of the area like the Indians in America or the inuites in northern canada or greenland. But this is not the case.

What do you expect in a contested war zone. In other wars time is not given for evacuation of civilians. Atleast civilian lives as feasible were saved at the cost of transparency of operational delay at the cost of military casualties.

well I think the situation for Gaza will get worse in the long run, Hamas dug hundreds of miles of tunnels under Gaza which weakened the Gaza base ground, the Israelis have destroyed many of the tunnels and pumped sea water in them, meaning , the ground in Gaza is very weak, so weak that sink holes will start to form, like it will take many billions of USD to rebuild Gaza. like you have build area ground up, or should I say underground up since the ground is so unstable. and the Gaza water table is very much contaminated now. by the sea water. pumped by the Israelis.
It was only once I heard the news of pumping sea water in tunnels so I think most probably it was stopped or there was no real benefit to Israeli troops by using it. Or maybe they continued it buy because it was reported once so noone thought it should be reported again.
And I fear I have to contribute to thoose billions USD. There are many other crises in the world with people suffering just as much. I would prefer that the tax money I work for everyday are spent on them instead of on repeating the recostruction Gaza againand again. I would not mind increasing my tax money to help thoose in need, but I don’t want my work to be wasted.
