- A senior Hezbollah official has warned that Israel will "face devastation and destruction" if it moves to expand the war against Lebanon. Sheikh Naim Qassem, deputy chief of Hezbollah, said that the Lebanese group remains ready in the face of any imposed war. He said the resistance group is “ready for the battle and will not allow Israel to secure any victories.”
“If Israel wants to fight an all-out war, we are ready for it,” the senior Hezbollah official stated.
The remarks came after Hezbollah on June 4 launched a squadron of drones against an Israeli military barracks for a second consecutive day. Hezbollah had also increased its rocket attacks which sparked days of bushfires in northern Israel.
