      Such a wonderful success story. Can I ask you exactly what you include in your diet? Is is just eggs, bacon and meat? Do you take supplements or eat any dairy?

    • @DCLearningtoLive
      @DCLearningtoLive Рік тому

      Thank you, that is basically it. I rarely eat a small amount of hard cheese. The only other dairy is butter, I do use butter almost daily, but no milk, or other dairy unless I can get it raw, as in Japan. But even then rarely. everything is home cooked. supplements, I take zinc, and magnesium, and vit D when Im not getting enough sun. that's all, when I feel like a cold coming I eat extra beef fat, and boost my vitamins that way. @@afrothiti234

      I don't know any wife amongst my family or friends who has ever attempted to turn a husband vegan - so surely not 'most women'? But (certainly in the UK - and probably the US) government advice still says 'eat more carbs, less meat, less fat -- if you want to be healthy'; this is scandalous given all the empirical evidence that this advice is not helping -- indeed it is actually harming us!

      My instinct allways told me 1 thing.
      A man is stronger than a woman physically, has more muscles and so on BECAUSE they eat more meat.
      I met 1 day in Belgium a taxi driver from Albania.
      He was commenting on the kids and youth on the streets eating their sandwich for lunch break.
      He said...this kido's are trembling on their legs from weakness, are thin build, the boys not really muscular, allmost emanciated, thin, pale skin...
      He than said...in our country, the boys ( maybe girls too...i do not remember ) eat every day a big steak and are build strong, wide shoulders, bigger arms, legs...not like the boys in Belgium in the cities.
      He said...you need to be strong and eat well. Meat every day too.
      Well...i never forgot that.

    DC, I am 16 years post diagnosis for cancer. I understand what you mean when you say you felt "cooked". I've had both breast cancer and melanoma (the radiation treatments "cured" the breast cancer temporarily but gave me melanoma instead). Been keto the first five years and carnivore for almost 11 years now. By all the actuarial charts I should have been dead a decade ago. Of course I can't "prove" a causal relationship but I am firmly convinced that a meat based diet is key.
    When I was on chemo, I found that meat and eggs were the only things that didn't give me GI upsets. Things like fruit would just go right through me. Dashing to the bathroom when you are already feeling seriously crappy is awful. It sound like you have really been through the wringer too. I wish you continued health and healing.

    • @DCLearningtoLive
      @DCLearningtoLive Рік тому +24

      Thank you. You've been through it yourself, so glad you got through it, well done. I know they won't say "cured" by carnivore, but we know better. The diet advice is something we need to change, they tried to put me on a high fibre diet for IBS, and a junk food diet to fight the tumors, crazy, more people die from the treatments than the disease. If I hadn't eaten so much meat I would not have made it. I will never deviate from this way of eating now, I keep healing, and improving. I wish you continued good health too my friend, thank you again. bless you.

Really wish he would of found Carnivore from the beginning of finding out he had Cancer. We'll never know if it would of changed his horrible journey but so grateful he made it to finally finding it now. I've always said if I ever was to get Cancer or anything else I would look to my diet first. It's just my preference but I would never do Chemo, radiation, drugs nothing. It's like if the disease doesn't kill you the treatments/drugs will. I realize too most people do what the medical industry/doctors say to do. What I've seen I would not. Nice to meet you DC. You telling of your life with Cancer is so raw, so in the moment. Not at all as a story of "years ago". Really describes what is must be like to go through 'life with cancer'. Thx for doing this and sharing. Thx to both of you for doing this and sharing. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

    Dave, are you subscribed to the Public Health Collaboration channel on UA-cam? UK based with lots of interesting speakers. Check out recent one with Andrew Scarborough, a young man who was diagnosed with untreatable brain tumour over ten years ago. He was also having epilepsy seizures due to the brain cancer. Put himself on ketogenic diet then more carnivore. He’s now studying cancer biology. Listening to DC, who had also been told his cancer was incurable, reminded me of him.

    I was in the oncology site of the hospital, being diagnosed with acute leucemia and hodkin non hodkin. I released myself after 7 days and i thought...and felt...i would die anyway with or without the 'treatments' and i thought...i do it myself to cure me or ( die ).
    This was in 2007.
    But what i wanted to say...
    How does it come the food is so bad at hospitals and the oncology site?
    You would think the sick get nutrient rich foods to get better...
    It is sad.😢
