The short term need for this team is 10,000% starting pitching, as proved by Arrighetti's start last night. We only have 4 starting pitchers not injured and have been lucky with off days recently to compensate the lack of rest. That isn't sustainable

Man, Dubon is obviously the better fielder but I trust Singleton at 1st base more. I actually think he's on the level of someone like Josh Bell, a 250 hitter with 15 plus homeruns. I'd love to see some room made at the top though. I feel like we've got at least a handful of players that could be starters elsewhere but are either in the miners or are riding the bench playing part time. I love the depth though

Astros do not assume all of the 35m option contract for JV. The option doesnt get vested if he doesnt hit 140. astros could of course sign him to a new lower value contract in 2025

Lance McCullers, what a horrible contract that's turned out to be. If he comes back the biggest question is how long until he's hurt again. As for Starting pitching give Tevor Bauer a shot after it was proven all his legal stuff was made up and plotted out by women trying to frame him for $. Who cares what he said in the past, give him a shot to prove himself still worth it or not and the contract to be purely performance based.
McCullers is a non factor. If he comes back he’ll throw 27 pitches and be back on the DL. Wasted $$$.
