@HazeEmry The sad part is that he still has way more duels than his sister. Luna tied against that one hypnotist in her only duel before the Dark Signer Arc. In her only duel during the Dark Signer arc, she didn't even show up until Leo was partway into fighting her opponent for her, and she continued the duel with her brother's deck instead of her own, so I'm inclined to mark that as more of a Leo win than a Luna one. We finally get to see Luna actually Synchro Summon her Ancient Fairie Dragon in her first, (and only) turbo duel against the brat of the Meklord trio where she and Leo both loose. We literally don't see her duel for the fourth and final time until the final arc of the show. At times it felt to me like Leo was more a member of the main cast than Luna and she was treated like a piece in Leo's character development than her own character.
I’m just gonna say it: This archetype NEEDS pendulum monsters. It’s way faster to just pendulum summon the cards you need and put them in the appropriate positions on the spot.
Right you are, my friend. And Link monsters for link climbing. And each chain should be able to produce +. The Pendulum cards should have pendulum effects that let you draw cards if battle positions are flipped. A better field spell should give them a major ATK Bonus and the ability to change the battle position each turn. Maybe it should get a search upon activation.
Ah, Morphtronics; an archetype constantly being outshined by better cards and decks. It definitely has potential and is really fun to pull off but they really need something to be more consistent.
Morphtronics have the bones to be a fantastic deck with the right support cards. But then so do so many other archetypes. If I could ask Konami to do one thing for the next couple of years it would be to seriously scale back on new archetypes and focus heavily on making old ones viable in todays format. There are so many old decks that needs some love and deserve it. I for one would pay good money for a true Gagagigo deck. Imagine if we could have really strong decks based on iconic cards like Giltia, Flame Swordsman, Dark Blade, Chaos Emperor Dragon, Slot Machine and Pumpking the King of Ghosts ( Halloween tournaments should be a thing ). The list of iconic but useless cards is extensive....lets revive them!
"Leo didn't deserve this" is also a summary of his narrative treatment in the entirely second half of 5Ds (the same as any main character not called Yusei, Crow or Jack) This is partially because some writing rearrangement that changed the plot of some topics addressed in Dark Signers arc (including Arcadia Movement). And as a kind o f consolation price, the show remembered there was another signer dragon in flashbacks that was not Black Wing and made it appear almost out of nowhere (reckoning signers lore for the second time) in a duel with no previous exploration of Leo related to said Signer Dragon (or any Leo exploration at all during that arc/half of the show)
It wasn't meta defining or anything, but Duel Links made Life Stream Dragon more useful. Its healing ability was more effective with the reduced starting LP and Leo has an ability that gives you two Lantrons and allows you to Special Summon it from your hand when you summon Power Tool Dragon.
Morphtronics best use was probably in the XYZ era where celphon was used to help turbo out Shooting Quasar Dragon, which is could do fairly consistently barring any interruptions.
I love the way people always say things like "used to" and "was able" , as if the combo no longer works today for some reason. I have seen Celphon used quite recently in a Red Dragon Archfiend deck.
I would agree with morphtronics being their best around that time, but personally the otk with boarden build always felt better than the quasar version of the deck.
I still love and adore my funny little household appliance Transformers! I do hope they keep getting fun support or maybe even some retrains! See'ing Power Tool upgrade or transform to a true dragon is always cool! Guess I always root for the underdog decks xD
Playing this deck in high school was so much fun because of the stalling with bind, the negate attacks and the morphtransition, along with the map and driver to boost attack for the otk. at locals rn, i still rock it with more modern cards and stuff but it does suffer from the interruptions or the dice roll. but adding things like the one for one, regulus, machine dup, have really been helping out. i will forever love this archtype
Scriptwriter popped off with this one too. Made this even more enjoyable~ everybody loves Spooder Logs' voice and the editing in the other channel has the editors receiving appreciation as well but personally never really thought much about the scriptwriters before
Labyrinth of nightmare is actually a soild non archetype card here can switch them to defense on thier turn. On your turn just switch them to atk mode and attack
With enough switch effects on the field, Morphtronic Map can get an absurd number of counters for Staple an Slingen to make a mess "They're Breakdance Fighting!" XD
THIS WILL NEVER STOP ME FROM RUNNING MORPHTRONICS AT MY LOCALS! lol. its nice to see some videos on morphtronics. love the videos btw!! LIFE STREAM actually made my opponent scoop the match when he realized i take no effect damage XD. he was running a VOLCANIC/RUNIC deck to mill and burn
Fitting since Leo was screwed over in the anime, denied being a signer after it was heavily hinted at in the first season until the last five ep of season 2. And I think Power Tool Mecha Dragon is the manga version of the card, along with the other signer dragon variants.
The moment Power Tool Dragon looked at him you knew the mofo was basically sentient. The fact Leo TECHNICALLY CALLED IT when asking Luna if it was Power Tool Dragon in the vision😂
Ah this is nostalgic. In casual play I had a decently performing Morphtronic deck. I'd stall using two Magnen or Boomboxen or Bind, then go for game with a bunch of buffed monsters.
I just wanted to say that i really like the energy and jokes you put into the script of this video. It felt fun to listen to and like you were enjoying yourself a lot ❤
Scannen and Earfon are both interesting to me simply because they're based on technologies which, to the best of my knowledge, didn't exist when Morphtronics were first introduced.
I actually used Gadget Hauler in a Boot-Up deck, because it was a level 5 or higher EARTH Machine "Gadget" and was therefore an Urgent Schedule target. Meanwhile, Infinitrack Anchor Drill could summon it from the hand in an otherwise brick situation, and then make them both level 10 for Trains plays
Keep in mind the era these cards released, double tool C&D was likely supposed to be a play on equipping them with a CD, obviously CDs were still mainstays back then and a main way to listen to music before streaming.
I love morphtronic and want them to be good in a competitive format. So, call me out if this sounds like a bad idea. Introducing………. Morphtronic Shreddon Link-1 (arrow points straight down) Effect- your opponent can’t activate any cards from the hand upon the summon or activation of a “morphtronic” or “power tool dragon” effect. Once per turn: you can target a “morphtronic” monster that was used for the link summon of this monster. Special summon it from your graveyard in either attack or defense position to a zone this card points to. You can only use this effect once per turn. Basically, a morphtronic based on a paper shredder to “shred” your opponents hand traps before playing them. Plus, if you use a celfon or telefon as the material, even if your opponent uses a hand trap to negate it, you can special it back to the field to continue your plays without the risk of a hand trap negating a summon or a search in your combo. PLUS, this support can be locked to exclusively morphtronic summoning so it can’t be splashed into any deck like the braver synchron was.
17:46 I will never forgive this card not having at least an additional effect if it was summoned using the original Life Stream Dragon, or at least floating into life stream dragon if Braver was destroyed (and that being treated as a proper synchro summon)
@@Deathmare235 Keep in mind it was early 5Ds era, Scopen was an easy SS and Power Tool + Double Tool C&D was actually a pretty decent threat. Accelerator was a non-target destruction that also gave you a draw. I played them when they first came out and I got to Legend, I think that warrants a surprisingly good.
I did love this archtype and its the one i mained until wind-ups came out. Though rng it randomly was explosive with the right Celphon rng into just a swarm from monsters from the archetype and depending on which ones you hit changed how the game went for me, from boarden/magnen locking the opponent, to synchro 7 spamming, to boomboxing beatdown, to just chilling on Naturia synchros since a lot of their earlier monsters where earth. Unfortunately the fact that it relied on a dice roll is what made it bad in the end and when it finally got a card like telephon well into the link era, it no longer needed any other card in the archetype to do well. 🙁
You pitty Leo but we forget that his twin sisters doesn't even get her own archetype but single handedly gets one of the most powerful boss monsters ancient fairy dragon
I am an enthusiast morphtronic player that knows the Deck is kind of really bad, but will still play it as one of their main decks. Thank you for making it more well-known as a Deck that actually has potential.
I threw in boomboxin as a random tech in my machina beat down deck back in the day. A double attacking 4 star boosted by Gaia Power, Solidarity, and occasionally Limiter Removal was plain savage. Ah, the good ol’ times…
I liked Staplen. The defense was decent enough to keep you alive sometimes and if you had two out in attack or had another monster with C&D you could prevent attacks too
Morphtronics remind of Vehicroids if they were done only a little better. An archetype around the times when searching was harder than a setup of an unbreakable board nowadays, a weird focus on effects changing whether the monsters are in defense or attack, bad stats to boot, with the old Field Spell hopefully getting many counters to marginally increase the ATK, the most notable thing about them was that the character who played them in the anime had Power Tool Dragon as his main boss monster that can search Equip Spells (on a Level 7 Synchro).
I once made a gimmicky equip card deck that did overall suck, but life stream dragon one time shone for me in the face of a burn deck that only used destruction effects for removal. And I got it out one turn away from losing, and ended up winning the game
Morptronics remind me of dream mirrors that’s a similar but also equally terrible and failed deck I think people really wanted to be great but just didn’t happen. A shame because their artwork was amazing.
One other tragic thing in the 5Ds era was how inadequate Power Tool Dragon was as a true boss monster for the archetype. Generically it was great for fetching a utility equip spell at a time when the 7 pool was really shallow, but it kind of suffered for the sins of Stardust Dragon and the dream of closing out games with Power Tool stacked with 3+ equip spells just wasn't a thing; non-destruction removal was just too ubiquitous, not even considering the other specific counters that were incidentally common.
Genex is actually a very good deck and can support a lot of other decks quite easily but even with the new cards it is still far from competitive. In casual play it is so much fun, mostly because nobody really knows it or how it works. Genex Ally Triarm has one of my favourite YuGiOh artworks of all time.
@@Deathmare235 Potentially. Like Snake Rain, it can end up becoming busted by a simple oversight, like Drytron accidentally turning Herald of Ultimateness into a staple Boss Monster.
You have made a major mistake with Accelerator. It shuffles a Morphtronic from your HAND into your deck to destroy 1 and draw 1. Now this still wasn't enough to make Morphtronic tier 1 at the time, but it does make it a lot better as it doesn't chip away at your own board.
Morphtronic Desktopen- In atk position roll a die any even number choose 1 morhtronic card and add it to your hand. In def roll a die, any odd number add 1 morphtronic card from the grave yard or banished zone to your hand
The other funny thing, the BEST way to play telephon FTK it's to just play the telephon, machine dupe and a way to get it, the most popular was the tribrigate lyrilusc engine or how I play it, packed full with dangers, the dungeon dice cards and ferret to gamba my way into drawing something to start off the combo, also add an exodius as an emergency plan in case they imperm the canon soldier, that way you get infinte lifepoints and hold the exodius till you have one or two cards left in deck to refill and make your OP deck out, also works against runick since after you get infinte LP you tribute the whole field so they can't plus out of the spells (unless it's the draw one banish 4)

The first pend effect of diskon should be a monster effect, and deptartment store is missing some words. I assume you mean "you can only use each of the following effects of "Morphtronic Department Store" once per turn"
@@dudono1744 Well I just fixed the spell, and I made the self-place a pendulum effect because I didn’t want to bloat the monster effect too much, and the effect SHOULD work wither way. Besides that, there were certain goals with these cards: ⚪️Duel-Diskon helps enable “Morphtronic” by allowing them to be normal summoned/set in any battle position from the getgo like monsters in general can be in the anime, which makes it easier to use their position reliant effects, while ALSO allowing them to confer said effects onto any monsters they are used as tribute or material for the summon of, allowing them augment any manner of tribute/ritual summoned or extra deck monsters with effects and stats that complement their own. Mean how, the monster effects confer some simpler position dependent ATK/DEF gains and protections from destruction, but depending on the card in question that could make ““Morphtronic”s surprisingly viable in the battle phase and as a wall unto themselves. ⚪️Meanwhile the “Morphtronic Department Store” Emulates an actual department store that sells the monsters, being unaffected while multiple of it’s archetype are on the field since “Business is booming” so to speak, while letting you “Buy” and “Return” them out of pocket like any good store would, and also allowing for battle position shenanigans after they battle or use their effects.

As much as I want Morphtronics to be good, they need a starter that special summons from hand, and simultaneously sets up GY or something, and a non-monster card that can search things out, like a ROTA. Gadget Gamer is almost there, but, it's a monster, so it's Imperm/veiler-able, and is a summon for Nibiru, on top of Ash Blossom stopping both effects, which can leave them with a starter in hand, but nothing on board. They need a spell like "Morphtronic Sale" which lets you add a morphtronic to hand, and send another to grave, AND a monster, like a "Morphtronic Desktopen" that can special summon itself with some cheap condition, and either add something to hand, or send something to grave based on position, because then you can semi-reasonably set up Telefon through an interruption while using Cellfon and Smartfon as a normal summon. They just REALLY need something to set them up. Hell even a field/cont spell that can stack the top card of your deck with a Morphtronic would help, but then they'd have to draw it and a starter, and still would die to an Ash or something. I do think that genuinely, if they had basically Cellfon, but as a free special summon from hand, they'd be eating good. Even if they made it out of Machine Dupe range, or EVEN if they made it the unheard of HARD ONCE PER TURN- they'd still be poking their head into rogue-
(2:05) Karakuri Shogun MDL 00 "Burei" can, if I have this right, allow this card to attack twice during your battle phase, then (by Burei's effect) swap it to defense position in prep for your opponent's response. (3:33) -also add to that this. (12:22) Wait... that's a light attribute machine monster with less than 1200 ATK. _checks a thing_ Yup. Jade Knight can protect Lantron from trap effects (while the former is in attack position) and searches Lantron if JK is destroyed by battle. More aggressively, Falchionβ can either send Latron from the deck to the GY or special summon Lantron from the GY, either occuring when Falchionβ destroys an opponent's card by battle. Nevermind Morphtronics, Lantron is Gradius support, opening the way for level 5 synchro summoning. (18:16) Burei is an earth attribute machine synchro that can change the battle position of monsters on the field (itself included). I need not say more. (18:47) More Gradius support. You can target the Vic Viper "Gradius" itself (or any of its forms) to bring out Lantron, and all of the Vic Viper's forms are level 4 IIRC (at least all the ones I have are). Meanwhile, if the monster you targeted was a defense position Morphtronic Lantron, you can special summon any Viv Viper form from the hand.
I wouldn't mind, but the episode where Yusei meets Leo and Luna and where we first see Morphtronics in action was the very first episode of 5D's I ever saw as well! I was surprised when they then became regulars, although admittedly, I shouldn't have been, given the talk of the Fortune Cup, I jus didn't expect them to be SO regular, you know? And Mecha belongs in that little group of Manga Signer Dragons, being their Manga counterparts, along with Ancient Pixie Dragon, Hot Red Dragon Archfiend (the dire one we don't talk about and is so bad no Demon's player plays it, not even me), Black-Winged Feather Dragon, Black Rose Moonlight Dragon and Stardust Spark Dragon! And is no one else going to mention the fact that that Revolution Synchron can make Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss? I'm sorry, I've jus been playing Demon's Dragon on Master Duel, plus what with the Structure Deck, so much lately, I think it's infected my brain, especially what with how one of my favourite Synchro Archetypes got a DARK Dragon Synchro! (That's T.G., by the way and Dragunar, which fulfills the conditions FOR Hot Red Dragon Abyss! And, Spoiler Alert, I didn't pull one, even though I opened two boxes... Don't have a Mighty Striker, either... Got Glaive Buster, though and a Quarter Century Rocket Salamander and one of each Spell, plenty of Traps and the "dark Zeus", so it's not all bad! Still have to say, though, I think I prefer Digimon Boosters to Yu-Gi-Oh!'s... Better odds!)
Man I still play morphtronics despite its flaws. Next he'll do watts, which was another one of my babies in the synchro era but a probably worse archetype
Would’ve really loved if Morphtronics worked like equip cards to help support Power tool dragon. For example each morphetronic would be a synchro extended and get an additional effect when equipped to power tool dragon. Would’ve been a sick deck design as it could also work with unions.
5:26 I though I had missheard. Gain 100 of each counter. So is that just limited to the Morphtronic Counter, or any counter that Morphtronic monster had at the time? Because that is a lot of counters you will need dice for.
Kinda tragic how this deck didn't find a place in history. From the sound of it, Morphtronic isn't even *bad,* they just can't compete with top decks. I kinda hope Konami can turn it around some day, but at least now it's a capable casual/rogue deck.
When you bring Rev Synchron back and your opponent expect Crystal Wing but you instead Synchro for Enlightenment Paladin and place a Secret Village on board turn one. Good luck!
I feel like logs and his editors leave in simple mistakes on purpose, like morphtronic map, it gives 300 per counter but logs said 100, and when he said DDR for searchable equip spells then they show the trap return from the different dimension😂 I can’t tell if they do it on purpose to get interaction or they really are just a bunch of silly lads
Is there a possibility that you can do "gimmick puppets" at some point? (Used to play and love the deck back in the day, but man! This archtype got some problems) 1. You are mostly locked to only using gimmick puppets with dready doll 2. Magnet doll need your opponent to have a monster on the field, so if you start, then its a brick card 3. With the lock to only puppet monster there are usually only the play with 2 out of the 3 puppet xyz 4. You cannot do much with the string counters mechanic (why are they even there if its only for 1 Cxyz monster) 5. Non of the effects are quick effects, so basically they can be countered pretty easy 6. The protection with the baby and the other doll arent realy big for the time they came out 7. Most of the printed gimmick puppet monster were so bad, that one was only used for locking your opponent and not in gimmick decks and the cards like the trojan puppet or the joker never saw actually big play 8. The gimmick spell and traps are mostly underwhelming 9. In duel links they would see a useful amount of play since they burn your opponent and you have only 4000 LP but for the regular card game they do not enough damage 10. LEO!!!!! I mean, what were they thinking??? 11. For your gimmick puppet plays you have to go minus in card advantage a lot of the time :( and the endboard isnt that great at the end 12. WHAT IS EGGHEADS PROBLEM? CANT YOU JUST BE NORMAL? 13. I waited a 100 years for some gimmick Support, but the konami guys have forsaken me :,( P.s: i remebered that during this time they also banned the only good rank-up spell card (i think it was silver chaos, the one you get back from the graveyard). I think they banned it because of some utopia stuff you did during that time but not sure anymore
I feel like the newer Morphtronic cards and Power Tool Braver Dragon should of come out 5 years ago and I feel Morphtronic would be a lot more better with more Morphtronics synchro monsters and maybe some power tool and or an life stream dragon as the boss monster of the deck to help give this deck some more power since this deck is really fun to play and it has a lot of potential if konami could give this deck some more better cards
In Master Duel, I opened up with no hand traps. My opponent looped Power Tool Braver Dragon with Smoke Grenade of the Thief to rip five cards from my hand. Yugioh is as much deck building and skill as it is being blessed in your starting hand.
I actually have a stall deck that focuses on getting clocken out as soon as possible and making it impossible to get rid of. When set up properly it was just a slow death for the other player.
Okay I maybe not been active Yugioh player I more casual who play when I am in the mood, but this is first time I see this archtypes, even when I play Master Duel sometime I never see or even get this archtypes at all.

"Leo didn't deserve this" is also a summary of his narrative treatment in the entirely second half of 5Ds (the same as any main character not called Yusei, Crow or Jack)
This is partially because some writing rearrangement that changed the plot of some topics addressed in Dark Signers arc (including Arcadia Movement).
And as a kind o f consolation price, the show remembered there was another signer dragon in flashbacks that was not Black Wing and made it appear almost out of nowhere (reckoning signers lore for the second time) in a duel with no previous exploration of Leo related to said Signer Dragon (or any Leo exploration at all during that arc/half of the show)
Leo was a joke. No wonder why he didn't get good support
It wasn't meta defining or anything, but Duel Links made Life Stream Dragon more useful. Its healing ability was more effective with the reduced starting LP and Leo has an ability that gives you two Lantrons and allows you to Special Summon it from your hand when you summon Power Tool Dragon.
It didn’t see any competitive play at all
@@Deathmare235 I didn't mention competitive play at all.
Man i remember loving this deck so so much back in tbe 5d/synchro era of the game
I was a child and just liked the decks of the twins so much
Morphtronics best use was probably in the XYZ era where celphon was used to help turbo out Shooting Quasar Dragon, which is could do fairly consistently barring any interruptions.
I hate Morphtronic Telefon. When I see this card I usually forfeit, because it is a slow and painful FTK enabler, similar to Treasure Panda.
YESS Loving the Leo appreciation. My fav character in the ygo anime
With enough switch effects on the field, Morphtronic Map can get an absurd number of counters for Staple an Slingen to make a mess
"They're Breakdance Fighting!"
XD
Writer really got to glazing with this script
Rd
huh
Real
Doesn’t matter, the glorious king Leo deserves all the praise
Leo is the goodest boy, he deserves it
THIS WILL NEVER STOP ME FROM RUNNING MORPHTRONICS AT MY LOCALS! lol. its nice to see some videos on morphtronics. love the videos btw!!
I thank you for another great video! I love this whole video, especially the phone jokes and the part that starts at 19:09!
Morphtronic Shreddon
Link-1 (arrow points straight down)
Effect- your opponent can’t activate any cards from the hand upon the summon or activation of a “morphtronic” or “power tool dragon” effect.
I don't care if Morftronics are good or no I will still always love them
Man I wanted morphtronics to be great
Double Tool C&D stands for Circular Saw and Drill for anyone not in the know.
17:46 I will never forgive this card not having at least an additional effect if it was summoned using the original Life Stream Dragon, or at least floating into life stream dragon if Braver was destroyed (and that being treated as a proper synchro summon)
Surprisingly good when they first came out in Duel Links.
No they weren’t
Hearing Duel logs say "Leo is the goat" gave me actual whiplash
He’s 100% right too
Can’t wait for the morphtronic link 1
I am an enthusiast morphtronic player that knows the Deck is kind of really bad, but will still play it as one of their main decks. Thank you for making it more well-known as a Deck that actually has potential.
I threw in boomboxin as a random tech in my machina beat down deck back in the day. A double attacking 4 star boosted by Gaia Power, Solidarity, and occasionally Limiter Removal was plain savage. Ah, the good ol’ times…
I liked Staplen. The defense was decent enough to keep you alive sometimes and if you had two out in attack or had another monster with C&D you could prevent attacks too
Might need to reread Morphtronic Accelerator my guy…
Funny thing is I just played someone who used these cards to looop synchro summoning.
I don’t run ash in my deck because I WANT my opponent to activate maxx-c lol
Morphtronics remind of Vehicroids if they were done only a little better. An archetype around the times when searching was harder than a setup of an unbreakable board nowadays, a weird focus on effects changing whether the monsters are in defense or attack, bad stats to boot, with the old Field Spell hopefully getting many counters to marginally increase the ATK, the most notable thing about them was that the character who played them in the anime had Power Tool Dragon as his main boss monster that can search Equip Spells (on a Level 7 Synchro).
At least the new support is good and actually supports the archetype’s premise, wonder how they’d pull that off with vehicroids
not sure if you noticed but accelerator is from the hand not the field
And now we wait for new Morphotronic support. Thanks for the jinx, Duellogs!
just give them a broken link 1
I once made a gimmicky equip card deck that did overall suck, but life stream dragon one time shone for me in the face of a burn deck that only used destruction effects for removal. And I got it out one turn away from losing, and ended up winning the game
17:45 did anyone notice that this card is Leo and Luna as monsters
Morphtronics, more than meets the eye.
Morphtronic Quasar was THE deck back in the day. Once they finally put my boys down, I went all-in with Deskbots.
There's always hope for an archetype, after all they recently released more Genex support, so anything ispossible.
Genex is actually a very good deck and can support a lot of other decks quite easily but even with the new cards it is still far from competitive. In casual play it is so much fun, mostly because nobody really knows it or how it works. Genex Ally Triarm has one of my favourite YuGiOh artworks of all time.
I've ran then early and I loved stalling with it and control. It was one of my favorite decks I used to run
"It's Celfon but with 5G and better camera" 🤣
Please do a video on the seal of orichalcos/the orichalcos arc cards!
My head canon is that Telefon is most likely the reason for Halqs downfall.
Halq was already banned though also doesn’t it negate effects
If you summon it off of Halq, it can't use it's reviving effect, you need to get it into the grave and find the second copy to start looping
Lots of support, lots of good cards and cards that are better in other decks than in their own archetype. Reminds me of Dark Magician.
Morphtronic Telefon is Yu-Gi-Oh!'s equivalent to Tibalt's Trickery.
It's not powerful, but may Holactie have mercy if you CAN'T deal with it.
Telefon isn’t powerful, it’s broken
@@Deathmare235 Potentially. Like Snake Rain, it can end up becoming busted by a simple oversight, like Drytron accidentally turning Herald of Ultimateness into a staple Boss Monster.
You have made a major mistake with Accelerator.
It shuffles a Morphtronic from your HAND into your deck to destroy 1 and draw 1.
Now this still wasn't enough to make Morphtronic tier 1 at the time, but it does make it a lot better as it doesn't chip away at your own board.
Morphtronic Desktopen-
In atk position roll a die any even number choose 1 morhtronic card and add it to your hand.
I’m pretty sure Double Tool C&D just means Double Tool Cutter & Drill.
You know, because of the tools in the artwork.
i honestly don't care if they're a failure or not I still love the Morphtronic Archetype
0:00 Hmm…
Ideas for some “Morphtronic” cards that can help:
_Morphtronic Duel-Diskon_ (LIGHT)
Level 3
Pendulum Scales: 7⬅️➡️0
_During either players turn, you can place this card in your pendulum zone (From your hand, monster zones or GY) after you change the battle position of a “Morphtronic” monster you control. You can Normal Summon/Set “Morphtronic” in any battle position. Monsters that you summon/set gain the names of, ATK/DEF Equal to, and the effects of, any “Morphtronic” used as tribute(s) or material(s) for their summon/set while on the field._
Machine/Pendulum/Tuner/Effect
_● While in Attack Position: Attack Position “Morphtronic” monsters you control gain ATK equal to their DEF, and cannot be destroyed by battle. ● While in Defense Position: Defense Position “Morphtronic” monsters you control gain DEF equal to their ATK, and cannot be destroyed by card effects._
ATK/1000 DEF/1000
_Morphtronic Department Store_
Continuous Spell
_Unaffected by other card effects while you control 2 ore more face-up “Morphtronic” cards. You can only use each of the following effects of “Morphtronic Department Store” Once per turn, during either players turn: ● You can declare the name of a “Morphtronic” monster; Pay LP Equal to it’s total ATK/DEF, then Special summon the declared monster from your hand, deck or GY, and if that summoned monster leaves the field the turn it is summoned by battle or an opponent’s card or effect: You gain LP equal to it’s total original ATK/DEF. ●After a “Morphtronic” monster you control battles or activates any of it’s effects, you can change it’s battle position._
The first pend effect of diskon should be a monster effect, and deptartment store is missing some words. I assume you mean "you can only use each of the following effects of "Morphtronic Department Store" once per turn"
@@dudono1744
Well I just fixed the spell, and I made the self-place a pendulum effect because I didn’t want to bloat the monster effect too much, and the effect SHOULD work wither way.
Besides that, there were certain goals with these cards:
⚪️Duel-Diskon helps enable “Morphtronic” by allowing them to be normal summoned/set in any battle position from the getgo like monsters in general can be in the anime, which makes it easier to use their position reliant effects, while ALSO allowing them to confer said effects onto any monsters they are used as tribute or material for the summon of, allowing them augment any manner of tribute/ritual summoned or extra deck monsters with effects and stats that complement their own.
@@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire Pendulum monsters are treated as monsters in the deck/GY/extra deck, and have their monster effects.
@@dudono1744
Ok, I needed to make some other adjustments anyway:
_Morphtronic Duel-Diskon_ (LIGHT)
Level 1
Pendulum Scales: 7⬅️➡️0
_You can Normal Summon/Set “Morphtronic” monsters in any battle position. Monsters that you summon/set gain the names of, ATK/DEF Equal to, and the effects of, any “Morphtronic” used as tribute(s) or material(s) for their summon/set while on the field._
Machine/Pendulum/Tuner/Effect
_(Quick Effect) You can place this card in your pendulum zone (From your hand, monster zones or GY) after the battle position of a “Morphtronic” monster you control is changed. ● While in Attack Position: Attack Position “Morphtronic” monsters you control gain ATK equal to their DEF, and cannot be destroyed by battle. ● While in Defense Position: Defense Position “Morphtronic” monsters you control gain DEF equal to their ATK, and cannot be destroyed by card effects._
ATK/500 DEF/500
Better?
@@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire yep now it works
Even if they made it out of Machine Dupe range, or EVEN if they made it the unheard of HARD ONCE PER TURN- they'd still be poking their head into rogue-
I had a Morphtronic deck back in my high school years I think. Even had Junk Synchron in the deck and my go tos were Junk Warrior and Junk Gardna
_checks a thing_
Yup.
The Appliancers are the Morphtronics of the Link Era?
In the card art of Power tool C&D, it shows a drill and a saw. For the longest time, I thought the saw was a shield. I wish I was kidding, but.....
7:00 "D.D.R" shows a picture of Return from a Different Dimension 😅
Its even a trap not an equip spell 🤣
Man I still play morphtronics despite its flaws. Next he'll do watts, which was another one of my babies in the synchro era but a probably worse archetype
At least Morphtronics where playable and super cool in the video games
I mean they are certainly playable right now. At least I think so
This is really making me want to go back on master duel and play my Morphtronic deck
More of this script writer please.
Would’ve really loved if Morphtronics worked like equip cards to help support Power tool dragon.
For example each morphetronic would be a synchro extended and get an additional effect when equipped to power tool dragon. Would’ve been a sick deck design as it could also work with unions.
One sec, gonna note this for my card game. I already got a system to enable form-swap, making the monster form equips is JUICY
@@clayxros576maybe also take inspiration from Dragunity and union monsters if you're thinking about this. Maybe even Vaylants
@HazeEmry
Eh. Dragunity is moreso Synchro in Lore. Unions, conceptually, do have a lot of design ground though!
He became a signer... For all of like 3 episodes. But it was an awesome scene.
How about a video where a bad archetype got suddenly good because of one single new support card?
Is this just for Genex?
5:26
I though I had missheard.
Good luck!
Jesus christ the amount of TOOLS these cards had so early on within 3 sets is crazy.
why do i feel like amazoness and war rock is gonna get there episode here
I feel like logs and his editors leave in simple mistakes on purpose, like morphtronic map, it gives 300 per counter but logs said 100, and when he said DDR for searchable equip spells then they show the trap return from the different dimension😂 I can’t tell if they do it on purpose to get interaction or they really are just a bunch of silly lads
“I use Telefon to summon Telefon to summon Telefon to summon Telefon to summon Telefon to summon Telefon to…”
Speaking of cool electronics, You should totally do a video on digital bugs!
Morphtronics! Robots in disguise!
Morphtronics! More than meets the eye!
Is there a possibility that you can do "gimmick puppets" at some point? (Used to play and love the deck back in the day, but man! This archtype got some problems)
1. You are mostly locked to only using gimmick puppets with dready doll
2. Magnet doll need your opponent to have a monster on the field, so if you start, then its a brick card
3. With the lock to only puppet monster there are usually only the play with 2 out of the 3 puppet xyz
4. You cannot do much with the string counters mechanic (why are they even there if its only for 1 Cxyz monster)
5. Non of the effects are quick effects, so basically they can be countered pretty easy
6. The protection with the baby and the other doll arent realy big for the time they came out
7. Most of the printed gimmick puppet monster were so bad, that one was only used for locking your opponent and not in gimmick decks and the cards like the trojan puppet or the joker never saw actually big play
8. The gimmick spell and traps are mostly underwhelming
9. In duel links they would see a useful amount of play since they burn your opponent and you have only 4000 LP but for the regular card game they do not enough damage
10. LEO!!!!! I mean, what were they thinking???
11. For your gimmick puppet plays you have to go minus in card advantage a lot of the time :( and the endboard isnt that great at the end
12. WHAT IS EGGHEADS PROBLEM? CANT YOU JUST BE NORMAL?
13. I waited a 100 years for some gimmick Support, but the konami guys have forsaken me :,(
P.s: i remebered that during this time they also banned the only good rank-up spell card (i think it was silver chaos, the one you get back from the graveyard).
I think they banned it because of some utopia stuff you did during that time but not sure anymore
The main cool thing about Power tool mecha dragon is that it can share the equipment.
The Lantron could be really funny if comboing it with the Dice jar effect to guarantee your opponent takes the burn, but that's gimmicky.
Considering what happened after Mr. Logs made Genex video, surely they will put super broken Morphtronic cards in the next release, right?
Please do a failed archtype video on the Alien cards and support; been trying to get that deck to work so badly after the Link support, but keep getting stomped
This deck is always fun to play with
What a coincidence. I was just re watching Rata’s Morphtronic Archetype Archive
I miss playing this deck back in 2012
Best Boy Leo? That's a funny way of saying Bruno!
