Wow the inkjet definitely gets the realistic references spot on!:) Definitely comes down to personal preference though for each artist on how they create their stencils! Either way works great!:)
Love this video!!! This is going to be a great gift for my husband. Just ordered the inkjet stencil kit & the Epson ET-2750 printer. Thanks a bunch!!! ❤
It’s so cool to see the industry evolve. The only thing with this is while I’m stenciling I’m familiarizing my self with the design, that’s why I like to hand stencil. But this is for sure awesome !
Agreed there. Hand stencile takes way longer. But the first run is nice. I love my brother pj763. But I def gave this a go with a few different try’s. Curious how long it lasts for others
🚨🚨🚨 ATTENTION 🚨🚨🚨 This message is aimed at the guy named lil X aka Xavier in the video who is doing the tattooing! He owns 2 shop in The Hartford area! He also is one of the biggest, the most fake, the most sneaky person you will ever come across! This dude will come across as very soft spoken and "Humble" but he's the absolute opposite of this! This dude slept with his wife's best friend who so happens to be my wife of 3 kids!!!! This dude was one of my good friends and for many years he would smile in my face, shake my hand, drink beer and even go out to eat but all along He was after my wife!!!!!!
I have a question why did you make a basic line drawing stencil in the end instead of showing us what one of these complex stencils that are fully shaded look like when it’s applied thank you
Hi friend! I bought the printer and STENCIL INKJET ink. But I bought the printer on Amazon then I ordered the ink bottle alone at 150 usd. Not the kit at 210 usd. What did you take to start? Sorry for my bad English I am a French jerk. :) Merci for your reply man!
A guy told me one time, "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner
Anyone else notice that he has only been filling the black ink tank on his printer? None of the other tanks have stains when he's filling. Seems like it saves ink that way.
You should make a video from beginning of stencil to end of tattoo to show how well it stays....I'm curious how easy/hard the stencil is at wiping off....is it the same as regular thermal copier as far as staying power,
I have been using a 24 pin dot-matrix printer for yrs now. No need for inks or ribbons, just get your outline ready and size it on your fav program ( I use Jasc photo instead of photoshop) and print it. A little noisy but has not failed me yet. They last forever.
The only way I can imagine someone came up with a $150 price tag. Was for them to think of a very high number then doubled it. $150 is ridiculous for a 4oz bottle.
Id imagine this is for artist who will easily make that money back in few tattoos. Its a risk yeah but i mean why not use this on very detailed tattoos and regular stencil machine for simple desings. Saves the ink on simple design. Or give a option where regular stencil machine you charge for first stencil paper like $1 (of course before quoting the person) and like $5.50 for stencil inkjet idk these are just ideas and random numbers
I am researching becoming a tattoo artist, coming from a cake business background. I can absolutely see buying this at some point, but not today lol can someone please comment on this in 2 years?
But an eco tank printer can be bought for 200 and up bucks...so I mean I guess it makes a little sense as comparative to the market . it is unreasonable why dose everything in the tattoo industy have to be so overpriced
It made fantastic stencil, superclean details. How ever, the ink totally destroyed the printer after just 5 months. Always clogged, had to clean it every months. Tryied to print a picture every week just to stop it from dry out. Last week it was clogged again, tryied to clean ones again, but this time the printer turned off and wont start again. The warranty is only if you use epsons Inc. So this solution cost me a lot of money. Guess there is no shortcut to the perfect stencil.
Our product development was very thorough and now we have thousands of systems working all around the world. It's a simple concept with lots of science in the ink.
Its a pricey startup but them stencils look amazing...but if you can make a few thousand stencils on one bottle it makes it worth the price....if using an artprogram do you have to fill up all the reservoirs or can you use just one if you make the image monochromatic in the art program....
for portraits, mine usually prints dull, not as deep or vibrant and we have the same exact setup, the reference will have enough contrast but printed its muted as hell.
Maybe bring this concern to the InkJet Stencils user group on Facebook. If you print color the printer will use ink from all 4 tanks. If you print black only it only uses ink from the black tank. You can also change the contract in your photo editor. It's a learning curve just like any new technology.
Check out the demonstration in the InkJet Stencils® Facebook page by Sebastian Murphy. He shows how to use the photo editor to get the best stencil image.
THE WAY DISS VID WAS BROKEN DOWN IN A WAY DAT YO MY DUDE IM GUNNA MAKE DAT NEW ROUTINE WIT 1 SELF CUZ DAAM I REALLY FIND UR WAY MUCH FASTER N EASIER THANKS MANITO GEE DOODLE LOLOL 💯 👍 👍👍 👍 👍
Hi, thanks for your video! I have one question Left now.. Is it possible to swap the stencil ink for regular ink? I want to use my Epson printer for stencils and for normal colour prints
No - do NOT put Epson printer ink in the tanks if you are printing tattoo stencils. Printer ink is considered a contaminant and should not be put on the skin.
I like the run through of the drawing you get from hand stencils. But I'm an old fuck who's been jamming skin since before we had the computer, shit before internet!
@adrian chintoan Sterile water, I put alcohol and peroxide. I'm sure you could probably use just one of those. Grab just 1 stencil paper and stick it in the bottle, then shake away. Let sit for a little bit and shake again. Then, bam! Enough ink for 4 or 5 cartridges👍 I do suggest to poke a hole in the bottle top and squeezing the ink into another water bottle that's empty. The stencil ink can cristalize a bit. It's good slightly diluted, so it doesn't clog the printer either 👍 I hope this helps.
I bought the inkjet stencil and the printer. It prints the stencils beautifully. But when I remove the stencils after application they are way to light and after the first couple of wipes they are completely gone. Ive used Stencil stuff and also my own home made ointment. Both of which work really well with regular spirit thermo and regular transfer sheets. Can someone please help?
If you use regular copy paper the stencil stays on the paper and transfers very light on the skin. Our Stencil-prep® neutralizes the pH of the skin and allows the methyl violet in the ink to dye the skin cells. It needs to stay on long enough to dye the skin. Pacon tracing paper works best for transfer paper.
make sure you are applying the stencil spray correctly spray on shaved clean skin massage & wipe off reapply and let it air dry til its tacky then apply pressure to the stencil for a good 60 seconds .. hope that helps it took trial and error the first couple times using it
Could you use that ink on any printer tho ? Just pour it into an empty cartridge? I love this idea . I am definitely going to give it a try . Thank you bro .
work it 100% ? why do some people complain about the system on your side? someone said it blurs it immediately another said that he already used 2 bottles of your liquid just to set up his printer and it still does not work properly I really hope that the system works. I like it very much
It's working for most users. With any new technology there is a learning curve. It's science - methyl violet dyes the skin at the neutral pH. Join the Facebook InkJet Stencil Artist group.
You Chinese fanboys are part of the problem. You got your awesome Chinese tat "gun" (tell me where the bullets go). Your sorry Chinese carts (I know your using carts because you never honored the industry by learning to build and use coil machines) This company did the work upfront. They are an American company that pay American workers that hopefully pay their employees a wage that lets them live a decent lifestyle. If your work is good enough then you can charge more than enough to support this company. I bet not though. I'm guessing you guys are home scratchers looking for yet another shortcut to messing up your "homies".
Let's say I wanna do this. What do I need exactly? U shoukd put it in the description, like type of printer, and what type of inks. I was focused on the stencil printing. Lol.
You can purchase any Epson EcoTank printer - we recommend Jet.com for US customers. We sell everything else you need - ink, paper and Stencil-prep® on Amazon.com or on our website www.tatuderm.com
This is really impressive but unfortunately we don’t have this ink in India. How is it possible for us to make stencils using this method here ?? Do you have any suggestions? Please help I’m awaiting your reply
Can you tell me what apps you use for printing with this printer on your phone and if any on your laptop and what brand of paper you do for just stenciling and the link to order the printer please
Stencil-prep® neutralizes the pH of the skin which allows the ink to dye the skin permanently. If a single Stencil-prep® application isn't working apply it again. Once to clean the skin, wipe it off, then reapply massaging it into the skin so it is absorbed. Leave the stencil on the skin longer - remember you are dying the skin, not putting the stencil on top of the skin.
hi I would like to know why the receipe of the product is not on the bottle and also how I am sure that your product is sterile .I ve done a couple of researches and I found out that the Nox ink that you said in a comment you don t know the composition is hechtograph ink which is basically made for creating carbon paper. So the question is why this price and why do you claim that you don t know what the nox product is made of? and more importantly what is your product made of ? talking about other printers are maybe contamined or something.how do we know your product is not contamined ? however it s a nice video congratulations
ok bro listen I bought everything right but when I got my eco tank printer it got ink in it already whats the best way about getting the ink out of the printer
We recommend Pacon tracing paper and have it custom cut to fit the printers 8.5X11" - Search for InkJet Stencils paper on Amazon.com It's also available at many tattoo supply distributors worldwide.
Hey awesome video and review of the product. Question, did you filled all ink tanks with this inkjet Stencils ink? And did you went full tank on each one or just used de 4oz bottle for all tanks? Thanks in advance, And keep up the good work.
We recommend putting one ounce in each of the 4 tanks - maybe a little more in the black tank. It's important to have ink in all4 tanks to avoid air getting into the ink lines.
Donna Dearinger hi , thanks for the reply. I think I messed up then :/ I filled up the black tank with the inkjet Stencil ink, and the other ones with the proper ink. I did it cause in the Epson iPrint you got to choose between color print or monochromatic print (the usual black and white). This way I thought the printer only used the inkjet ink for the supposed black and white print. And did you used any paper? Thanks once again.
Let me know how that goes. We sourced the paper that we found works best - Pacon tracing paper. This tracing paper is thin enough to conform to the body and does not absorb too much of the ink, allowing the best transfer we have found for just $0.05 per sheet.
TatuDerm hi, That's what i thought it might be. The type of paper, but the fact that i only filled the black tank with the inkjet and not the other tanks doesn't have nothing to do with it right? Cause i choose to print monochromatic and this option only uses the ink in black tank, correct? And do you know why the print size option on the iprint app, doesn't show the complete preview image to print even after i selected the different sizes to print. Thks
Not sure about iPrint app. Maybe a question for the inkjet stencils group on facebook. We have not done any testing putting ink in only the black tank. We have had customers try and leave the color tanks empty and the printer would not print.
Is it possible to use this with an Epson ECOTANK ET-M1120 Which is also an Ecotank inkjet printer, but a monochrome one with only one ink reservoir. This looks like a good printer since it's used to printing driferent tones of black.
hi just invested in this product im all set up printer works but when printing the stencil on what ever paper im not getting the light shades so a a portrait for example im get eye hair lips nostrels but everwhere else is blank no no cheek bones etc... any help would be grateful
No matter what I do. I get lines in my stencils. I did head cleaning, power cleaning, etc. and still don’t come out like this. This is my 2nd printer and same thing
Our Stencil-prep neutralizes the pH of the skin so the methyl violet will dye the skin cells. When applied correctly the stencil will stay until the skin flakes off.
it only prints black and shade if u fill up the red blue and yellow with black how can that be working? u tellin fill them all equally.. but i only see inksplatter on the black 1?
Epson Tech support says it won't print with ink in only the black tank. Two artists have a printer working with ink only in the black tank - color tanks empty. I have a printer working with ink in only the black tank. I'm working on writing a process but at this point I don't know why it's working. Stay tuned for updates on the InkJet Stencils Artist group on Facebook.
Yes - it is Epson ET-2750 however this model is discontinued. Epson Monochrome models are best - they use less ink. M1170 print only, M2170 print copy scan.
What's the difference between this ink solution and "NOX Violet Hectograph Ink" ? Looks kinda similar, and the NOX is waaaay cheaper... correct me if I'm wrong...
Not sure what NOX Violet Hectograph ink is but I know dozens of tattoo artists that have tried putting hectograph ink in printers only to have it clog up. Our formula is the result of years of development to eliminate clogged print heads. The printers are very precision instruments to print 5,000 dpi high resolution images.
Right now all 4 tanks need ink. We are working on a process to just fill the black tank but it is not verified yet. If/when we have a reliable process to fill just the black ink tank we will publish an update.
Just order mine and already went and got a second printer for inkjet. Lol do you know any phone app i can do what you did on the photoshop? I dont have a pc at the shop and not planing on getting one. I know there are some nice apps that do a similar edit but if you know any let me know. Thanks for the tips and amazing job
We recommend Pacon tracing paper and sell a ream of 500 sheets for $25. Tissue paper is too thin to print single ply however you can use glue stick to attach it to a regular paper carrier on the leading edge. Just be careful not to get any glue in the printer.
Je voulais savoir quelle tipede papier dans les option de epson sur mon cell je dois sélectionner pour le papier de stencil de inkjet que j'ai acheté pour un meyeur résultat et éviter les splache d'encre mercie 🙂
Printers with top feed can be inconsistent. If you have a top feed printer just place a piece of cardboard behind the paper to support it and keep it aligned. This is a proven fix.
Can you just fill the black tank without filling the others and only use the option print black, so you can still use the printer for other colored prints like photos? Or is it too unhygienic to use that printer not only for making stencils... Can you remove the tanks completely from the printer?
Thank you so much...I bought the printer set up, but more than that, you taught how to finally use photoshop to create usable stencils.
Hi where i can buy this kit please ?
How’d it do
How was the printer?

If you don't feel like paying $150 for this ink, a 24 pin dot matrix will do stencils almost as well and can be picked up for $50 here and there.
I always come back to this video for tips. Thank you!
Great info!!! thanks for making this video... from one tattoo artist to another. Good Lookin' Out!
thank you so much sir......all TATTOO ARTISTS..!!! salute the video ❤
Don’t forget to print in reverse as your applying it face down so everything is going to be in reverse.
Great point
Do you have to print this on a special paper?
Tracing paper
What is printer model sir?

Roy Tumbelaka It Impossible... Je pense que c'est impossible. Ils disent bien qu'il faut que l'imprimante soit neuve.

wow, Im still doing it old school. I sincerely appreciate the you man
I'm buying this today. No time wasted.
Anyone else notice that he has only been filling the black ink tank on his printer? None of the other tanks have stains when he's filling. Seems like it saves ink that way.
Yes - the printer will work with ink in only the black tank. Just be sure to change all settings to print black only.
Thanks for the video man!
What a time saver.
A printer sent from tattoo heavens!! Time is money! Print it!
O.m.g. Getting. Thank you for the great demo!
I need to see you put it on someone directly from the printer cuz it doesn't seem like it stencil on in the correct direction to the skin.
That's a game changer
I love this, thank you mate, this will save me so much time in the studio,
You should make a video from beginning of stencil to end of tattoo to show how well it stays....I'm curious how easy/hard the stencil is at wiping off....is it the same as regular thermal copier as far as staying power,

Hi, how did you wash the printer's ink bottles to use with stencil inkjet? Is there a problem that you had ink before and it is toxic?
I have been using a 24 pin dot-matrix printer for yrs now. No need for inks or ribbons, just get your outline ready and size it on your fav program ( I use Jasc photo instead of photoshop) and print it. A little noisy but has not failed me yet. They last forever.
InkJet Stencils can only be used with new Epson EcoTank printers.

Hey, you have to change the order of the colors that are selected in photoshop's main window.
When using your phone can you print smaller tattoos or like size it the way you want
Great! Thank you very much for the video. Could you please list the inks and all equipment you used?

No - do NOT put Epson printer ink in the tanks if you are printing tattoo stencils. Printer ink is considered a contaminant and should not be put on the skin.
Hi did you ever try this? I did some research and according to google, printer inks are non toxic due to regulations
Do a tutorial doing the stencil thanks
Bro you are a beast 😮
I bought all of these exact things and it’s printing blank pages, did you have any problems?
Thank you for the information 🙂👍
Where can I get this is amazing
what steps have you been doing to keep print head from drying out?
I’ll keep making my detail hand stencils
We'll be here if you ever change your mind.
I like the run through of the drawing you get from hand stencils. But I'm an old fuck who's been jamming skin since before we had the computer, shit before internet!
I just made my own stencil ink and it works great. i live in the USA so yeah. Made in the USA😁👍😅

Could you use that ink on any printer tho ? Just pour it into an empty cartridge? I love this idea . I am definitely going to give it a try . Thank you bro .
A used cartridge is contaminated and we don't support using cartridges. Investing in a new printer for $200 will work for a long time.
Yes , you can buy a brand new empty cartridge on ebay .
work it 100% ?
why do some people complain about the system on your side?

Hopefully the Chinese will copy this to and come with a reasonable priced product that works.
Chinese knock offs have been tested and they do not work. They print OK on paper but aren't functional as a stencil.

How do you fix cloged ink jets without contaminating the stuff with harsh chemicals
Can you tell me what apps you use for printing with this printer on your phone and if any on your laptop and what brand of paper you do for just stenciling and the link to order the printer please
Tattoo Stencil app works from iPhone. Some use Photoshop. We recommend Pacon tracing paper and sell a ream of 500 sheets for $25
How long does the stencils last? Is it true that thermal stencils last longer than inkjet?
What app and settings do you use to print via iPhone or iPad? Please advice. .
Thank you. .
Xavier uses photoshop filter. There are 2 or 3 apps you can use on iPad or iPhone. I use Tattoo Stencil app by Pony Lawson
Smart man thumbs up
Dude, that’s what I been looking for.. thanks
I’m having issues with getting the stencil to stick to the skin, I’ve tried stencil stuff and green soap..what do you recommend?
Thanks for your passionate testimonial!
can i use with

We recommend Pacon tracing paper and have it custom cut to fit the printers 8.5X11" - Search for InkJet Stencils paper on Amazon.com It's also available at many tattoo supply distributors worldwide.
Hey awesome video and review of the product.
Question,
did you filled all ink tanks with this inkjet Stencils ink?
And did you went full tank on each one or just used de 4oz bottle for all tanks?
Thanks in advance,
And keep up the good work.
We recommend putting one ounce in each of the 4 tanks - maybe a little more in the black tank. It's important to have ink in all4 tanks to avoid air getting into the ink lines.
Donna Dearinger hi , thanks for the reply.
I think I messed up then :/
I filled up the black tank with the inkjet Stencil ink, and the other ones with the proper ink.
TatuDerm hi,
That's what i thought it might be.
Will this work in any printer ???
Is it possible to use this with an Epson ECOTANK ET-M1120
Which is also an Ecotank inkjet printer, but a monochrome one with only one ink reservoir.
This looks like a good printer since it's used to printing driferent tones of black.
when i rub this stencil spray, it starts to turn white. any tips?
Thanks for the video man
hi just invested in this product im all set up printer works but when printing the stencil on what ever paper im not getting the light shades so a a portrait for example im get eye hair lips nostrels but everwhere else is blank no no cheek bones etc... any help would be grateful
thank you sir for the info
No matter what I do. I get lines in my stencils. I did head cleaning, power cleaning, etc. and still don’t come out like this. This is my 2nd printer and same thing
Haha same here! I am on my 5th printer. They last about 1 year
Have you tried it with regular stencil stuff rather than their stencil solution? Didn’t know if there was an actual difference between stencil creams
Hi, thank you for your useful explanation!
Which epson printer model is in the video?
Is it 2750?
Appreciate your help :)
Yes - it is Epson ET-2750 however this model is discontinued. Epson Monochrome models are best - they use less ink. M1170 print only, M2170 print copy scan.
@@donnadearinger1831 do you know where I can order one of these newer models? Ty..
@@freshface_2106 Staples and Office Depot, sometimes Walmart and Target. Amazon also sells these printers
Do you have to fill all four tanks or just black?
Right now all 4 tanks need ink. We are working on a process to just fill the black tank but it is not verified yet. If/when we have a reliable process to fill just the black ink tank we will publish an update.
Just order mine and already went and got a second printer for inkjet. Lol do you know any phone app i can do what you did on the photoshop? I dont have a pc at the shop and not planing on getting one. I know there are some nice apps that do a similar edit but if you know any let me know. Thanks for the tips and amazing job
There is an app called tattoo stencils on app store. Doing exactly the same as in photoshop
What kinda paper is ideal? Could I use tissue paper? Will that run thru a printer? Is thermal paper the closest to tissue paper
We recommend Pacon tracing paper and sell a ream of 500 sheets for $25. Tissue paper is too thin to print single ply however you can use glue stick to attach it to a regular paper carrier on the leading edge. Just be careful not to get any glue in the printer.
Who ever told ya to say amazing is amazing
Je voulais savoir quelle tipede papier dans les option de epson sur mon cell je dois sélectionner pour le papier de stencil de inkjet que j'ai acheté pour un meyeur résultat et éviter les splache d'encre mercie 🙂
did u just say 'whtever paper", even bond paper?
Whar paper you use?
I wonder if u can actually add the liquid stencil ink in the CMY slots so u could still use the black to print other things??? What do you guys think?
You are amazing, Thanks, big help
Our tracing paper gets stuck and jams. What settings is everyone using? We have tried these settings: "plain paper, gloss, semi gloss, and matte"
Yes - the printer will work with ink in just the black tank. The color inks can remain empty. Setting all to black only.
I try this product but . The stencil is not working for me to light. . But the stencil prep is nice .

Can colors be spilled on any Epson printer?
