Hi Michael, just wanted to say thanks for making all these Casio CTX 5000, I really appreciate the time it must taken to make these, I just bought one based on your tutorials, great stuff and all the best😎
Thank you very much for your comment! Yes a lot of time has been taken to do all videos of the CT-X5000, but it was worth it and I have managed to show everything this keyboard has to offer such as sounds, songs, styles and features, I’m glad that this video has inspired you to get your own CT-X5000, hope you are having fun on it, it has great sounds and features for an entry level Casio. Thanks for watching and sorry for the late reply!
Fantastic video Michael. Your knowledge is superb. I've learnt more in the 3 hours with your video than 3 weeks with the user manual. Thanks so much. John
I was going to buy a Yamaha DGX 660 today, but I now realize that the Casio 5000 or Casio Wk-7600 has the workstation sequencer creative features that I need for the songs of praise that I write. This is the best review/ tutorial I have ever seen. I am leaning towards the Wk-7600 because of the 76 keys and organ sliders. A big San Antonio, Texas USA Thank you. This was so much work. Amazing job.
Thank you very much. You’ve been extremely kind and helpful showing all of the functions of this keyboard. I like how much in depth you’ve come to assist the viewers. Thanks for your time. It’s been a pleasure for me to watch.
groki30 thank you very much for your comment! Glad you are enjoying my demos, reviews and tutorials, there will be more reviews of other keyboards this year. Thanks for watching!
What a great help you have been to understand the brilliance of this awesome machine. So informative and patient. Thank you for all your hard work. Keep it up mate. Really enjoy your presentations.
Thank you very much for your comment! I'm glad that you have enjoyed this video, and appreciating all the work that has been put into making this video, it does require a lot of patience for videos like this, but the end results makes it worth it, and it also helps those thinking of buying this keyboard get to know how to use it. Thanks for watching!
I may buy this as a second board, it sounds very good actually, and the price is good too, thanks for the comprehensive demo, my friend! -- Levi in Sweden
Thank you very much for your comment! I’m glad this tutorial has helped you in what to expect from this keyboard, it is a great entry level keyboard with many capabilities such as creating your own sounds and rhythms which I think Yamaha should add with their entry level models. Thanks for watching!
Sorry for the late reply but thank you very much for your comment! I’m glad that this tutorial has helped you in getting to know how to use this keyboard if you have one or are thinking of getting it, it’s a great entry level keyboard with realistic sounds, and many great features you would expect to see on a high end keyboard. Thanks for watching!
Anyway that's why I am enjoying your video... cause lil bit I have read in manual and I am seeing all that here... in systematic sequential manner. Nice video u done here. :)
Really good i have the ctk 6200 and has loads of great sounds - this is a step up new sound engine but tutorial is priceless update bought one second hand and very cheap .!!
John Winiarski thank you for your comment! There will be more keyboard tutorials of other keyboards soon, I’ll try not to have them as long as this video though haha. Thanks for watching!
Great video. I’ve just bought a CTX and this is far more useful than the terrible manual Casio produced. So thank you. I have one question. Is it possible to load midi files onto the keyboard and if so, is there a recommendation for how to convert .mid to.smf files. ?
Thank you very much for your comment! I’m glad this tutorial has helped you in using your CT-X5000! I don’t know if it is possible to put MIDI files into the keyboard, but you should be able to play them back in a USB stick, and you can record via audio recorder and record your own songs which you can play back from the keyboard. I’ve never converted midi files before, so I’m not sure on what’s the best software out there to do that, but I’m sure there is some great software to be able to do that. Thanks for watching!
Super long tutorial, I ended Up super tired after the 3 hours, nevertheless I learned soooo much, so many cool Ideas I had in mind can now be translated to the keyboard, thank you for the reaaaal detailed explanation. I have 2 recomendations, 1.- You could speak a liiiittle bit faster in my opinion sometimes you stoped for a while between explanations. 2.- It would be suuuuper helpful to have som small notes on "topic where we are what is beeing changed" as sometimes one tends to get lost on what is beeing done even though there is a timelink on the description, problem is, it is SUCH A BIG amount of information. Anyway amazing tutorial, thank you!
Sathish R thank you very much for your comment! I am glad you are enjoying my tutorials and there will be more tutorials of different keyboards next year. Thanks for watching!
Excellent tutorial!! Helped me so much more than the user manual which is pretty poor. Hats off! One question however, can you explain the function of the Play FF Rew signs below the fill-in knobs?
This Casio has some pretty unbelievable functions for the price point but unfortunately falls short on the most important aspect - the quality of the sounds.
R. J.N thank you for your comment! I’m glad this video has been useful to you and that you get to know how to use the keyboard if you have this model or if you’re thinking of buying. More videos will come in the future where I show more keyboards and even some older keyboards too. Thanks for watching!
That's a nice keyboard. I like learning about all the new features. Can you do videos of you showing all the demonstration songs on the Casio CTX-5000?
I’ve got a question to ask. Since I’m visually impaired, is it possible that I can get to the instruments much faster with the number pads? My favorite keyboard patch is the electric piano one which is number 32. Or if I wanted to play the drum beats, can I do the same thing? If you can explain to me, how to do the instruments, and the drum beats via number pads. I’m planning to buy the instrument sometime next month or the month after. Thanks. Love your video.
Hey Michael, Greetings from East Germany, i joined your channel last month and its a very good job you do, guiding into the deep menues and functionalities. I felt in love with the ctx line. Im a drummer in a new project and i try an approach to the keys by myself. Im 47 years young, at the time it feels strange to get the two hands independent from each other but i work for that. I wanna try to use this Keyboard for deep base effects to blow as intros etc. In our new project, some food for the woofers by the phrase pads. There are so much oportunities with this casio, its amazing. Would you also say that this is possible, in combining with octave shift and so on? And the series is still 3 years old... Is there a follow up series mentioned by casio? Or is it still to good to stop this ctx sereies? Thanks for reply, i like your country and the people, of course the breakfast😉 have a nice day, and enjoy music👍🤗
I think its auto harmonize ... part 5 of 1-9 keyboard.... I mean gone half way through 9000 manual... Actually thinking of buying one so thought lil bit familiarity with it wont be bad when I finally go to store. :)
Thank you very much for your comment! I’m glad these videos of the CT-X5000 has helped you in getting to know how to use this keyboard, it is such a great instrument for an entry level model! Thanks for watching
I am considering a new keyboard. I currently own a Casio CTK-4200 but it lacks the sound quality and styles. Do you recommend the CT-X5000 or the Korg EK-50?

I noticed when you were recording the song without a rhythm track, the tempo kept reverting to a default setting? I guess you have to set the tempo in the system track or something?
Poderiam fazer algumas configurações de sons e ritmos para que melhor aproveitemos o casio Ctx3000. Toca - se muito e as configurações e o que se pode programar fica de lado. E se possível em português.
Having a bit of trouble: if you want to delete a style or pad that you created what do you have to do? More specifically a specific part of it like the bass lets say. I know how to select the parts, and I know where the delete button is, but how do I delete it? Thanks.
Thank you for your comment! Yes you get the same amount of sounds and rhythms on the CT-X3000 as well and are the same sounds and rhythms too, it is just missing a few functions such as the AUX outputs, mix input etc. Thanks for watching!
Hi. I'd like to know how to set the tempo for recording. I set the tempo, but when I play the recorded song, it goes by itself to 120Bpm, in general. I managed to set other tempo and "save", but it does'nt give me the possibility to change again. It keeps going back to this tempo "saved". How to solve this?
Thanks. I’m very interested in purchasing a keyboard. I am a piano player but I’d like to go into music production with my IPad. I’m not sure which to go for or I should get an older used Yamaha P115 for a similar price.. :)
richierich sorry for the late reply, but thank you for your comment! This is a great keyboard with really great sounds and features, the P115 is also good, it has been replaced with the P125 now, it depends on what you play really, whether you’re a piano based player or a keyboard based player, the P115 is good for piano, and this keyboard is great for all sorts of sounds and styles for this range and price. Thanks for watching!
NoseBearEatsFudge Sorry for the late reply, I’m not sure if you can, but you can quantise parts when you are creating a style as I have shown here. Thanks for watching!
Yes there is, I’m pretty sure I have showed it in this video but correct me if I’m wrong, it’s been nearly 6 years since I made videos of this keyboard
Thank you for your comment! Yes you can lower the volume and make it louder as well on all parts on the left hand & right hand voice 1 and 2, you can even alter the volumes on every part of a style as well. Thanks for watching and hope this helps :)
William Adlam Thank you for our comment! I wouldn’t say that this keyboard is professional, it is more of an entry level keyboard but still has some great sounds!

Actually, this amazing keyboard with no battery compartment a 24 volt required energy source instead of 12 volt if you should opt to buy an external battery source and the loss of the organ sliders has some serious drawbacks as a supposed new improved keyboard. Sound is great but it is not portable.
FAHIM UR REHMAN thank you for your comment! See the timer stamp on this video of the sound creator section, I show how you can edit your own sounds and store them into the user section, and I have already done 4 videos, part 1 to 4 of showing all of the sounds on this keyboard, I am now working on the editing of those videos and will be available sometime this week. Thanks for watching!
Nick 111 indeed 3 hours, there was so much this keyboard can do and I wanted to show everything that I could, for an entry level Casio this really does sound good and have lots of features you would expect from a top ranged keyboard
@@mollies13 I’ve not tried the DGX-660 that much, so I’ve not properly played the piano sound on that piano, but the CT-X5000 does have some great sounds (watch my sounds video so you can have a rough idea what it sounds like)
Nahin nahin...I mean no no ..sorry... what was that in some video here a guy on youtube was inserting a aluminium foil into the sustain pedal connector socket to achieve this permanent sustain feature in this. But then there is a button as u shown... so I was wondering wht the heck he was doing there....smile.
@@KeyboardKrazy49 I'm sorry that I can't fully watch your video because I don't know English.I want to buy a casio ct-x 5000. Is it worth buying it? Thanks.
Thanks for your comment! To me I think it is definitely worth buying, great sounds for the range of keyboard, and the functionality to create your own sounds and to create your own styles which is usually unheard of in an entry level keyboard, usually sound and style creator would be on mid range and top of the range keyboards
Some keys rubs each other irritatingly when touched. Extremely complicated keyboard for programming. This one is nothing friendly and with very common and boring rhythms. The sounds of the timbres are the strong side of it, but their polyphony is absurdly small and any more consistent execution becomes impossible. In short, a rubbish. I lost a lot of money picking this item. Get off of it.
Nadir Tomasini Junior I don’t know where you’re coming from, but I really enjoy and like this keyboard, and it is packed full of great stuff for what it is and for the price, I know it’s not the best keyboard in the entire world as there are keyboards like Tyros and Genos which are obviously better in sound as they are top range keyboards, and this keyboard is an entry level keyboard. I think 64 notes polyphony is quite good for this range of keyboard and other features such as tone editor and style creator for an entry level keyboard is great as you would usually get those in a mid ranged and top ranged keyboards, so I wouldn’t call it rubbish, and noooo I will not get off of it!
Actually, this amazing keyboard with no battery compartment a 24 volt required energy source instead of 12 volt if you should opt to buy an external battery source and the loss of the organ sliders has some serious drawbacks as a supposed new improved keyboard. Sound is great but it is not portable.
Stephanie Guilmenot Go for the CT-X3000 then. It has all the sounds and effects of the CT-X5000 but because it has only 2x6 watt speakers it can run on batteries. Great portable keyboard.

Actually, this amazing keyboard with no battery compartment a 24 volt required energy source instead of 12 volt if you should opt to buy an external battery source and the loss of the organ sliders has some serious drawbacks as a supposed new improved keyboard. Sound is great but it is not portable.
......I like it,..... just like that. !!!!
Hi is there a style that sound like cheap thrills from sia?
Not on this keyboard there isn’t, but you can create styles on this keyboard so you can create a style for that song
Bro make a video on sound editing and show us the sounds.
KeyboardKrazy49 thanks dear, waiting for the sounds videos anxiously!
3 hrs? ... kya ho raha bhai? ... Lets watch! :)
Nick 111 indeed 3 hours, there was so much this keyboard can do and I wanted to show everything that I could, for an entry level Casio this really does sound good and have lots of features you would expect from a top ranged keyboard
Piano on the left?
That was my back then PSR-S970 which I no longer have as I have got the PSR-SX900 last year to replace it
@@KeyboardKrazy49 does this,5000 model really sound like grand? Does it sound like yamaha dgx 660
@@mollies13 I’ve not tried the DGX-660 that much, so I’ve not properly played the piano sound on that piano, but the CT-X5000 does have some great sounds (watch my sounds video so you can have a rough idea what it sounds like)
@@KeyboardKrazy49 its okay you did good. I have yamaha psr e463 i like it thanks.
Mr Roboto...
Sounds like Narration by Boris Johnson
Клавиши цокают не слабо:((

а где русский перевод? хотя субтитры
Sorry, but no subtitles on my videos
Ainh?... sustain button? ...Woh saala faltu mein panni ghusedey tha wahan piche? :)
Nick 111 sorry, what was all that in English?
Nahin nahin...I mean no no ..sorry... what was that in some video here a guy on youtube was inserting a aluminium foil into the sustain pedal connector socket to achieve this permanent sustain feature in this. But then there is a button as u shown... so I was wondering wht the heck he was doing there....smile.
Anyway seems like very neat and detailed video... happy to come here.
Субтитры отвратительные.Одно предложение с переводом, потом два без перевода.
Sorry, can you please comment in English on my comments section, thank you
@@KeyboardKrazy49 I'm sorry that I can't fully watch your video because I don't know English.I want to buy a casio ct-x 5000.
@@KeyboardKrazy49 I bought. I really liked it. Thank you for advice.
Show all the sounds!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alexander Williams all videos of the sounds has been done sometime ago now so check them out :)
ineed a keyboard on the road kazy keyboard 49
The intro music is giving me trauma
aaron sam you’ll live 😉
Need a better microphone, or at keep it closer to your mouth when speaking.
Mike Long or may be we need better speakers or hands-free?
THAT is ALL YOU HAD TO SAY after a GREAT REVIEW. WOW! HINT, turn YOUR speakers up. GEEEESUS H CHRIST.
I appreciate the detailed review of this keyboard.
