Is this a joke ? Samsung regurgitate the same phones year after year . I left samsung after the fold 4 ,best move I ever made , fold 4 would not open straight . From a year with the one plus open which blew Samsung folds out of the water ,with better multi tasking and user experience for me with much much better cameras battery life and user experience. Now with a week with the honor V3 it's absolutely fantastic,not one glitch smooth ultra bright screens , clear concise crisp . 66 watt charging and 50 watt wireless . Samsung have got lazy regurgitating the same phone since the fold 6 , you are paying for the name not innovation. For you to say the fold 6 is a better phone I can only assume is a joke

"Better multitasking" is subjective. The multitasking is better on the z fold 6 to me because of how flexible and resizable, AND optimized it is.
The Oneplus open has better cameras and outer screen stylus support, but thats all I would rank above the fold 6. It's all preferences in the end and I think they're all great phones.

Honestly, I have no doubt that many Chinese reviewers were paid for by Chinese companies. The excessive enthusiasm for the Chinese is very clear. Incredibly, these reviewers either use Samsung or iPhone, but never Chinese ones. I no longer trust tech UA-camrs who don't do what they say.
😂 notice how none of them mention the recurring notifications thing. They just say “oh ya amazing screen”, cuz they don’t use these phones for more than 2-3 filming sessions.

100% agreement. If it doesnt have a good OS & a stylus for me to actually take notes, it's not even on my radar. I love being able to take mt Z Fold 6 to short meetings or lunch meetings & quickly jot notes. Nobody is complaining that there phones or watches are too thick. Give me more battery, fast wireless charging 7 more internal memory (all ares the Fold 7 can improve on). I actually like the aspect ratio of the phone. Closed, it's easy to use with 1 hand on the go, opened it's a content consumption playground.

Yes I love that the honor has stylus support on the front screen, and the notes app is actually really good too.
I have had the Honour V3 for 2 weeks now and swapped from the zfold 6 and I can absolutely say I can't believe that I finally have a front screen which I use constantly now, and the overall experience magic OS etc is better, hands down a much better foldable phone.

Samsung would have made the screen of the Fold 6 3-4mm wider than what it is now and would have put a battery 🔋 of at least 4700-5000mAh in its Fold 6, that we would not have all the current debate.
Samsung has squeezed the lemon 🍋 a little too much, and its customers have been a little fed up with Apple-style 🍏 incremental evolutions, it's that they want to make Samsung pay.
The form factor of this Honor is for me (I mean for me) the ideal for a Fold, it is better than Samsung's, Samsung should seriously move its buttocks.
On the other hand, I find that the selfie 🕳 camera of the internal screen is very badly positioned.
Also, the biggest problem of Honor is the regular and punctual software monitoring, Honor smartphones, even ultra high-end very often receive the new versions of Android almost 1 year after everyone else, and that's very very bad when you put almost $2000 in a smartphone.
However it's true that like many, I prefer the format of the external screen of the Honor, but that doesn't automatically make it the better format, and contrary to what many think, there are also quite a few people who like the format of the Samsung.
And in reality, the screens of this Honor are not better and brighter than those of the Fold 6, and the photo-video quality of this Honor is, really meh !
Give me a bigger battery and faster charging and im happy.
The funny thing about the battery stuff though, is the pixel 9 pro fold reduced its battery from last year and no one is complaining lol. In the end though I can get through a whole day with all of them.

100% agree. They're intentionally doing these very tiny increments which is frustrating. Went with the V3 and I'm so happy with it.
This review is honestly incredibly biased full of false arguments and insufficient comparisons. 3 minites into the video where there's already claims about thickness doesn't matter, narrow screen is better because its better for one hand use, customisation is better on the Samsung and Blahblah.
1. Thickness matters because it makes the phone easier to hold and less bulky to carry.
2. Narrow screen better until you actually use the phone, not just scrolling around but texting, typing etc.
3. Being used to the Samsung gadgets doesn't meam gadgets doesn't exist on other phone. Everyone is used a skined version of android so in reality, the customisation is more or less the same on most modern android phones.
When you are claiming something is better, at least show how it is better? Holding the phone side by side is not showing any tangible comparisons that proves your arguments.
Launcher features are not the same as features being baked into the software. Thickness matters to an extent, but the Z Fold 6 is thin enough. People act like it's some archaic piece of tech just because the chinese folds are hyper thin. I'm not saying the thickness of those phones is bad, but people make it seem like having the thinnest phone makes it the best phone, lol. If the honor magic v3 was as thick as the fold 6, and the fold 6 was as thick as the fold 5, people would be saying the same stuff. The Oneplus open was highly praised for its thickness and weight, the Z Fold 6 mostly matches both of those things and is even lighter than the glass back OnePlus Open, yet it's not good enough. Are people in love with the actual device or just the idea of something being "ahead" of the other?
The narrow display is better in my opinion, is that wrong? There's large phones and small phones, why can't that be true for foldables? Thanks for watching 3 minutes though lol.
I have to agree about Pixel pro 9 fold. I played with it in the store to give it a fair shake because I thought about getting it as an additional phone. However, the software made the big screen feel like a waste of space. No flexibility with multitasking, no s-pen and ridiculous looking cover screen with that ugly bezel. I'll stick with the Z Fold 6
Well sadly samsung is pretty stupid about making a change. It's so obvious that people don't like the skinny folded screen and it's tall aswell. So makes it very hard to type and use it daily. I am also using samsung but i really don't like the folded screen and being thick is actually a big deal even though this guy claims otherwise. I'm planning on getting huawei mate fold xt since it will be actually like a tablet when unfolded and like a real phone when folded. Z fold series are not tablet at all when unfolded also not a phone when folded because its skinny and tall.
I have to agree. The three things that keep me with the zfold, one hand use, the best pocketable foldable and Samsung's trade in program. I can actually upgrade to a new zfold every year, two or three and its cheaper than what the other manufacturers offer and that means quite a bit with something this expensive.
Yeah Samsungs trade is the most generous out there, at least where I live.

I live in Europe. I own both Samsung fold 6 and honor magic v2 (not v3). Honor V2 is years ahead of fold 6. I can't imagine how v3 will feel. 😊😊 So I bought the fold 6 as an upgrade because I thought I got bored with V2. I rocked it for a month or so...and now I am back to V2 and waiting for v3. I also had ALL Samsung folds so far from the first. Samsung is stuck .... It needs to wake up and stop stalling real upgrades. They profit they have supremacy on Android same as apple does. But if we are honest ... Nothing compares to how honor feels in the hands . After honor V2 , Samsung fold 6 seems so awkward in the hand. Just go in a store and see for yourself.
The only things I think Samsung needs to catch up in are battery capacity and charging speeds. The cameras would be nice but they’re not the end of the world, and like I said, most of these other foldables have better camera hardware in theory, but they’re real world performance in day to day usage is negligible.
For the form factor, I really don’t think Samsung is losing or stalling. After using the Honor magic V3 and the others available in north America, the z fold 6 has the best build quality and in hand feel imo. The Honor magic v3 is probably my second favourite foldable after the fold 6 though, I could see myself daily driving that and being happy if I chose something other than a fold 6.

Speakers. I don't think there's a super thin foldable that has decent speakers. The pixel has decent ones but is too heavy. The OnePlus are good too but essentially the same thickness as the fold 6@@Magnetoz13

You can customise the edge panel on the honor. Scroll the bottom and click on the more apps, then you can edit and put what you want in it.
I agree for pure customisation One UI has it. However for day to day use I find the Honor more enjoyable to use and its the first foldable I have had ( z Fold 2 / 3 + Pixel Fold) that actually feels like a regular candy bar with no comprise. Then Bam! open the screen up. I got fed up with samsung tbh just iterating on their design. No pen input on cover screen (will make it too thick! lol).
Both are great foldables, but the honor make the z fold look like its 1st gen.
I showed my honor v3 to a friend and they held it and said its a nice phone. Then i showed them it opened and their jaw dropped. They had no idea it was a foldable. Thats progress.
Would love Samsung to get there act together on the hardware.

The honor is def smooth, but not as smooth as the z fold 6 in my opinion. Also samsung is the only company to do a true tripple split screen on their foldable. Open canvas and floating windows are different.

Personally, I don't have any issue using the z fold 5 outer screen.

Can't say that I agree with your overall take, though I will admit I have only used my Honor V3 for a short while now. But I used the Z Fold 3 for years, and also got to play with a Z Fold 6 for a day. The Honor magic is exquisitely crafted. The physical smallness and lightness cannot be overstated, as a folding phone's major disadvantage historically has been its weight and bulk. The V3 (and to some extent the V2, I imagine) is the first phone in which the size difference vs. a regular bar phone will be negligible for most. The V3 was the first time my wife said that she'd be interested in a folding phone. As for the software, so far I have no complaints. A bunch of new and useful options vs the Z Fold 3, and I don't feel it lacking for features so far.

@@JamaltLee I took the honor v3 I hope not to be disappointed I'm quite afraid on the software side, after I saw some nice featurs but I hope there aren't too many bugs I had tried the one plus and for example when I was in Google articles and I was returning it close everything it was just unbearable
The honor magic v3 is really good. I didn't encounter too many bugs, just some slight moments of unrefinement that I think you can get used to. Hopefully they smoothen out the software with updates anyways.

I agree. They focus on "thin" and bigger outer screen. The latter is what they depend on when talking about the Pixel fold, but they leave out the part that the fold can only run 2 apps. All that real estate and you only want to run 2 apps?
You can run 2 apps + 2 floating windows + picture in picture.
More than enough for 90% of cases.
Was debating between these two devices, ended up getting the Z Fold 6 because of the software after watching a lot of reviews including yours. Glad that you were able to compare these two though!

You can open two apps that use the camera, but only one will be able to use it at a time.
I am a consumer, not paid for by any company and i can assure you that the Honor Magic V3 is streets ahead of the Samsung fold. It has a bigger battery, bigger front screen, its lighter, the cameras are not crap and MUCH FASTER CHARGING. Game over.

Isn't software the most important thing? Imo the build quality and design is on par with the chinese brands. Samsung just needs to upgrade the batteries, charging speeds, and cameras.

I've been on the V3 for more than a month now and every "quirk" he mentioned is easily solvable. The V3 has the better outer screen and bigger inner screen. The Fold 6 is a brick with a case on unlike the V3. Not very fair comparasion IMHO.
@maddada what makes the outer screen better tho? And he even explained a bigger screen doesn't make it better when the aspect ratio is not considered. A lot of apps are not made for that size screen and don't function optimally. I also experienced the phone first hand too and I agree.
And also the software quirks, they could fix them but will they? And if they're going to then when?
@@6ablee you can fix the quirks yourself.
Animations: set 0.5 speed or 0.7 using system tuner.
Notifications: use "auto notification" and block them. They rarely appear for me now after using the phone for a while.
Edge panel: download edge gestures it's much better and has way more features (ex launching any widget in floating mode, pie control, advanced commands, etc. )

They're releasing updates every 2 weeks and improving the OS a ton since I got the phone so I'm very optimistic about it getting even better with time.
I have the Honor Magic V3, the Vivo X Fold 3, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, the OnePlus Open and I used to have both the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 & 5. And from my personal experience, these Chinese phones blow Samsung away. The Honor is thinner, the Vivo has far better cameras and the OnePlus has better multi-tasking software and all of them have bigger batteries and faster charging both wired and wireless. The exception being the OnePlus which doesn't have wireless charging. And all of them are hundreds of dollars less!

@@JamaltLee I love the Honor in my hand, it's do damn beautiful, but the Cameras on the Vivo are better and has a larger battery. The Honor's battery life is excellent to at 5150, but the Vivo is at 5700.
Bruh.. come on. The Magic v3 is vastly superior. Yea, the software might not be quite as good, but it is pretty great and only getting better. Any android user knows animations can be sped up too in dev options if you don’t like the default.
@DillonBlair personally I think speeding up the animations in developers options makes them look laggy and too fast. That forced change kind of defeats the purpose of nice animations.

Samsung’s designs are just elegant and are eye candies. They really know the definition of premium. Chinese phones all have horrible camera islands/designs. Most chinese phones are just good on paper but quality, after sales, support are just trash. I have been a Samsung (and Apple user) since the Note 5 and never had any complaints.

Literally before i got the phone I was struggling to find multiple good videos that truly show case how using the phone is like.

I have both and I'm selling my fold 6 and keep the honor. In my opinion it is superior. Cameras, weight,fast charge, etc .. The only point I give to the Fold is the software.
@@josefigueroa4738 software is the most important aspect to me. Weight and faster charging are the only things Honor truly wins in, in my opinion. The camera hardware is better, but the day to day camera experience is so close that it comes down to preference.

I do have an iPhone and no I dont prefer it. iPhones are very limited, I mainly use mine for filming and editing videos on the go.

You definable have a samsung bias. Other reviewers are hyped about the v3 because it gets a whole lot right. Samsung definitely have more optimisation. Appreciate a good device when you see one. Most of the things you picked on are things a software update can fix. Honor has a desktop mode which you didnt mention
I appreciate the honor 1000%. Its just not “leaps and bounds” better lol. Banking on software updates to fix problems is also wild, because if and when Samsung does that people get mad. A product should be refined when it comes out.
I didn’t mention the desktop mode on the Honor because I’m going to make another video on this phone, and the desktop mode is the same case as the normal software experience. It’s not as polished as Samsung’s desktop mode.
I don’t think it’s Samsung bias, i don’t hold any stock in Samsung and will gladly switch to something better if and when that comes out.
@@JamaltLeehardware is mostly better in almost every regards and software needs polishing. Samsung has had more time to polish that. Hopefully honor matches the hardware with better software and thats optimisation not necessarily functionality

Trying to figure out between the iPhone 16 pro, Fold 6, or Pixel 9 Pro. Every time I see your videos I always tend to want to lean towards a Fold 6 but I'm still so indecisive!

@@JamaltLee man, I got an issue with tech. I always want the “best” smartphone, but I know that’s definitely subjective. I know the Fold with S Pen would be so beneficial for my work as I do rehab work. It’s so much easier taking notes that way. However, I want the iPhone and Pixel camera and video capabilities. I’m also deep into Apple Ecosystem with AirPods, watch, and MacBook so that’s big, I would love to leave but it’s tough. Then I just saw a post about snapdragon 8 gen 4’s geekbench scores and now, me wanting the “best” tech, wants to wait for the S25 Ultra. It’s a never ending cycle for me seems like🙃 I wonder what you’d recommend at this moment? Thanks for the reply!

In terms of power and geek bench scores, in my eyes they don’t really matter because as powerful as android phones are, it really depends on what you’re using them for. And even in that, androids from the last 3 years can do most things at similar levels. If you video edit specifically then ya get the more powerful phone, BUT even in that as well lol, more power doesn’t necessarily mean better performance.
iPhones generally are better for video editing and high end gaming (unless you buy a gsming android phones).
I would recommend you go for a regular flagship since you value cameras. The s24U or s25U might be the best option for you since the pen would be beneficial for your work.
In terms of the ecosystem, I feel you, but Samsung also has some great equivalents to most of those things aside from the laptops. I think MacBooks are better buys than current galaxy books.
I think the fold 6 is the best overall phone atm, but maybe not for everyone depending on what they value.
In the end you could get the iPhone 16 pro max and then trade someone for a s25U later on.

It definitely isn't. It's too narrow when closed to type on. It too skinny to comfortably watch videos on when closed. I own the 5 and would've upgraded if they made it the same size as a regular phone when closed. Samsung never listens to its customers and that's why the 6 isn't selling.
They should do a public poll to see how many people like the narrow screen

Animations on china phones are just set slow! That's why it looks wrong. Just reduce animation time in developer settings. No big deal.

One plus Open update now more fluid. Has better edge panel too! Has app folders too! Has better multitasking!. Samsung only pretty, unusable toy boxes😅. OnePlus has floating boxes as well, so Just as good usability all around.
OnePlus Doesn't need extra apps like Goodlock for customization, so less bloat! Also Has dual screen Bluetooth stylus support!. OnePlus bigger screens are higher resolution than zFold6. You need a microscope for tiny multiple windows in zFold6, haaaa. You don't need to rotate the phone on OnePlus, so more flexibility. Battery last longer and charges quickly while you still home sadly stuck to a wall charger. 😢
In reality every issue has been addressed with OnePlus Open, which feels higher quality in hand! The hinge positions on zFold6 is meaningless if not used. You don't need to have it open at 5° or 270° lol, so extreme folding positions is just petty when OnePlus Open design to close like a switchblade, so not left cracked open for dust .
At 21:18 the OnePlus ALSO can resize more than the Honor. So not only just the zFold6. One-handed use on OnePlus Open is just as good because it's close in width to zFold6 while being lighter.
Vivo is too wide for one handed use. Plus the voice on this video sounds so clear and real on OnePlus(!), as if he was talking next to me ! 😅
9Pro Fold is a big fat heavy clumsy wasted space with absolute zero customization, just as stated. 😅
Reducing animation speeds in dev settings does not make it smoother. If anything to me that makes the animations more choppy.
As I have shown many times, the z fold splitscreen windows are easily and quickly resizable, so if something is too small you can adjust that. PERSONALLY, I rather that than open canvas.
Z fold 6 floating windows are way more flexible and can be resized to any size and ratio. They are also able to be initiated in many ways. The Oneplus opens aspect ratio is worst for certain kinds of work flows.
Stylus on both screens would be nice on the z folds.

The fold 6 is by no means the best. If you prefer one ui thats fine but cmon now be real. You said U tried all the folds. You tried what usa has to offer. The vivo x fold 3 pro is hands down the best foldable. The only thing samsung has is one ui. You literally just complained because you dont know how to use the phone. Also you can totally change the edge panel on the v3 and v2.

I really want to try the vivo, based on what I've seen I agree with that statement, right now I use a OnePlus open which is still better than the zfold 6 (hardware wise) despite being older. I really love one UI but I can't justify spending more on a lower spec foldable just for One UI.

I didn't go into what the honor magic v3 can do cuz the video is not about that phone, I'm going to put that in its own video. It's a great phone that can do many of the same things as the z fold 6, but as I was saying in the video, the z fold 6 does it all better and more smoothly.

Tried both , fold 6 is beating on everything apart from software, owned every samsung fold, apart from the 3., so i like samsung but the hardware is miles behind the chinese , the vivo, honor v2 and v3 , and opo are all better than the samsung. I wish samsung was the best as the customer service and software are the best, but the fold 6 is a massive let down only samsung fanboys disagree. The front thin narrow screen, small battery, terrible slow charging wired and wireless, old camera tech not much better than fold 4. Clunky thick design. No pen on front screen. Hardware is poor compared to the chinese rivals, hope the next samsung fold beats them , i have the ultra s24 just make that as a foldable..
The narrow screen is big enough for me, and I prioritize one hand usage over having a big cover display, cuz thats how im most likely using my phone if it's closed.
Listen, the fold 6 was a let down in terms of the same camera, same battery, and same charging speeds. Samsung needs to change all that, BUT as far as the build quality, in hand feel, and software goes, the Z Fold 6 is the best in my eyes. Samsung could reuse the same design and build every year, but upgrade the cameras, battery, and charging speeds and I would be happy.

Yeah ok but there is one big point, Samsung cant change the body of the phone but Honor can update the software as often as they want. So Honor has not the best software but can get it. Samsung hasnt the best body and cant get it.
