I am 70 years old and I assembled the piano, with your instructions, in about 1 1/2 hours. I didn't have a power screwdriver and went slowly, frequently rewatching the video. Lifting it alone to put on the stand was a little tricky, but I managed to lift it onto the bed and slide it onto the stand. Thanks for the excellent instructions.
Thank you very much for your comment Donna, we're glad that you found this video to be useful. However, as noted at the beginning of the video, we strongly recommend that two or more people work on digital piano assemby, especially when it comes to lifting the main keyboard unit onto the stand.
You have become an inspiration for me, I had to do the assembly on my own as well 2 days ago, done it successfully and so proud !! Thanks for sharing your authentic experience 😊
Hello Csaba, thank you for your positive comment. We're glad you found the video useful, and that you're enjoying your KDP120. May we wish you many years of musical happiness playing the piano! 🎹
The only thing that makes me hesitate to purchase the kdp120 is all of that exposed wood. Especially underneath the main body of the piano where the speakers are housed. It looks like raw chipboard. Other manufacturers seem to cover that up with a nice veneer that matches the rest of the instrument. If Kawai did the same then I would definitely purchase the kdp120.
Thank you for your comment. As you correctly note, the underside of the KDP120 is uncovered. If this cosmetic detail is of concern to you, we would recommend considering the CN201. This model provides various keyboard action, sound, function, and design benefits over the KDP120, and is strongly recommended for players seeking a step-up instrument. For more information about the CN201, please visit: www.kawai-global.com/product/cn201/ We hope this helps!
Our brand new KDP120 just arrived and we're so excited! This video is exactly the information we need to properly, efficiently and safely assemble the new unit on which we're so eager to start playing! I find it unfortunate and a little disappointing that there are not step by step instructions included in the packaging material. Could have saved myself a few minutes coming on youtube to figure out the best order to complete all assembly steps. There's no documentation that says to tighten the alignment screw before inserting the other two silver screws.
Thank you for your positive feedback Donna, we're glad that you found this video useful. Please note that step-by-step assembly instructions are included in the Appendix section of the KDP120 owner's manual, which should be included with the instrument. A PDF of this owner's manual can be downloaded from the URL below: www.kawai-global.com/product/kdp120/#support
Lay the stand and piano on their backs and assemble them together if you only have one person. Then you can tilt the whole thing upright and you don't have to lift the piano onto the stand separately. There is a video about it and it makes it much easier for one person assembly.
We would certainly say so! However, we would also recommend play-testing a variety of different instruments in order to understand the features and specifications that are available within your budget. Good luck!
One thing to imrpove: Inalmost accidently ruined tue Piano as I used the four longer silver screws to fix the base before realizing there's the smaller sag with screws still in there. Maybe they can be differentiated. People like me are just stupid 😂

I want it. I'll buy it on my birthday.
Hello Tyoma, that sounds like a lovely birthday present to yourself!
Thank you.
You're most welcome!
I bought one yesterday, should arrive tomorrow, so excited to play on it 🫡🙏
Hello Kitora, thanks for your comment, and for choosing the KDP120. We hope your new piano brings you many years of musical enjoyment!
Nice
Thanks very much Ahmad!
i need a new piano and I'm thinking of buying this one, is this a good choice?

If you're alone is harder to assemble it? Especially the top?
alone almost impossible

I assembled on my own two days ago, with patient and right mindset , you will do great
Is the bench included?
Thank you for your comment. The bench is included in some regions but not others. Please check with your local Kawai dealer to confirm this point.
Very nice video but in the end you should have played it a little. Anyways Thanks.
Dears... wrong phillips screwdriver size. Damage head of screws... Fix this ;-) and record again.
Thank you for your comment Eletrizuados. It's unlikely that we'll shoot this video again, however we'll certainly bear your feedback in mind!

Thank you for your feedback Yannik! We will try to improve the clarity of the explanation in future piano assembly videos.
Thanks. It was helpful
Thank you for the positive feedback!
We hope you enjoy your new piano!
