- È l'unico comune arbëresh campano ed è situato nella Valle del Cervaro, in provincia di Avellino a 823 metri sul livello del mare.
Mi sono recato a Greci per caso qualche anno fa e l'impatto non è stato dei migliori.
Era il 15 Agosto e la piccola cittadina italo-alabanese era "deserta".
La fortuna ha voluto che incontrassi Bartolomeo, che ho scoperto essere stato sindaco di Greci dal 2003 al 2008, il quale mi ha ospitato presso la propria abitazione, dove abbiamo chiacchierato sulla storia di Greci e sul legame della città e dello stesso Bartolomeo con l'Albania.
Di Greci ricordo non solo la bella intervista a Bartolomeo, ma anche un panorama mozzafiato che lo circonda.
Fortuna a queste persone che tengono vive queste tradizioni onore e gloria a tutte le comunita arbëreshë d'Italia per tutto cio fanno x mantenere viva questa lingua e cultura.....che dio vi benedica....

p.s. Arber in quale rapporto sono le comunità arbereshe della penisola italiana con l'Albania? La lingua che parlate ai due lati dell'Adriatico sono affini?
Negli ultimi tempi, grazie anche ai nuovi media, molti albanesi hanno potuto approfondire quello che secondo me si studia poco anche nelle scuole albanesi, ovvero le comunità arbëreshe del sud Italia. Dopo ce è stato istituito un Ministero per la Diaspora, i rapporti con l'Albania, ma soprattutto con il Governo sembrano essersi stabiliti in quella che si potrebbe definire una "buona via". Personalmente credo che l'Albania potrebbe fare molto molto molto di più e finanziare qualcosina in più per i corsi di lingua o anche semplicemente promuovere il turismo in quelle zone dell'Italia, dove queste comunità muoiono lentamente. L'arbërishte, ovvero la lingua che si parla in queste zone è un albanese arcaico, senza l'influenza turca (molti arbëresh fuggirono dall'Albania proprio alla fine del '400 durante dominazione degli ottomani). Personalmente capisco un buon 80% e riesco a comunicare senza problemi, ma allo stesso tempo si nota l'influenza dei dialetti locali e dell'italiano.

Sapevo già di una significativa presenza albanese in Sicilia (entroterra palermitano), Calabria (cosentino) e Molise (valle del Biferno), ma non anche dell'entroterra campano.

Ciao Mattia, gli Spasulati sono di Santa Sofia d'Epiro che è un'altra comunità arbëreshe in provincia di Cosenza però, la provincia che conta il maggior numero di comuni arbëresh.

Praticamente sono albanesi che dopo avere fatto la resistenza per quasi 40 anni contro i turchi, dopo che i turchi hanno conquistato l'Albania hanno cominciato a vendicarsi e per sfuggire alla persecuzione turca sono immigrati in Italia, in territori che re di Napoli aveva donato al principe albanesi in ricompensa del suo aiuto a vincere delle ribellioni interne.... Loro parlano lalbanese parlato nel 1500...pero è ancora molto comprensibile a quella di oggi...

Sono i veri Albanesi con le loro tradizioni linguistique e religiose da più di 5 secoli
solo con la seguente differenza: 500 anni fa non erano chiamati albanesi, erano cittadini dell'impero bizantino per 1200 anni. Cristiani .le dossologie erano in greco antico... anzi in Albania il 70% sono musulmani, in Kosovo il 90% musulmani, nella Macedonia settentrionale quasi tutti albanesi... e nel 2021 in Albania stanno costruendo le più grandi moschee dei Balcani.

Eri Ta E/I nderuar ju kuptova qarte persa i perket varferise nuk ka nje instrument fiks per matje.Ajo qe doja te theksoja eshte qe nuk eshte e vertete qe Shqiptaret jane Analfabete.Duke u bazuar ne konkluzione te tilla krijohet idea baze per nje komb gje te cilen ne kemi kaq vite qe e vuajme dhe eshte nje padrejtesi e madhe.Doja te shtoja dhe se 80% e Shqiptareve zoterojne 2-3 gjuhe shkrim lexim nuk flas vetem per ne Shqiperi por te gjitha trevat.Si mund te quhemi ne analfabete?keto jane doktrinat e fqinjeve qe na duan te keqen sepse ne realitet duan te na marrin historine kulturen traditat tona mijravjecare qe deri diku ja kan arritur.Ndryshimi fillon nga vete ne gje qe ka filluar, emancipimi I Shqipetareve eshte ne perfundim duhet urgjentisht te ndalojme se perbuzuri veten tone sepse ne realitet vetite tona I ka zili tere rruzulli.
