I tried this recipe , I am in UK and I can not get quality paneer and condensed milk and getting them organic is very difficult. So I chose to make everything from scratch and also to avoid processed ready made ingredients . Making from scratch also made it easy except patience ,but it was the perfect birthday Mithai for my husband who prefers desi things than Cakes , loved it so much. It was irresistible and we finished so quickly almost half a kilo of that , :) and definitely put on some weight. I love the way you explain the theory behind everything.I love to cook and I find it very much resonating with you ,the way you add the traditional elements at whatever costs ... we Love you chef..be safe during covid !

Heyy chef B, I tried making this however when I added the paneer(albeit it was a 3 day old one, would have this caused the problem??) to the milk, instead of evaporating it spilt more. So I cooked it further, end result being a sweet spongy paneer.

I made this recipe of kalakand yesterday on diwali day with freshly home made paneer ...I must tell you its yummy...and your trick of adding lemon zest...I used lemone to curdle paneer from milk....and that lemony taste got added and it turned out to be yummy with tinge of sourness.... Did you add condensed milk to it? I think that will help giving it a better bind and texture than sugar.
