First off all, that was a nice tune man. Really good.
I have several "budget" guitars; a Glarry, a LyxPro, and a Cozart Teles, a Harley Benton. I even have a Walmart First Act that my son found in a dumpster!
Ya put a little time and TLC into these guitars and the play as good as any of the legacy brands any day.
I totally agree, you can get some amazing guitars for less than $150 these days!

Man, since i started using my dremel for polishing frets, it has changed everything. Turns a 30 minute job into 10.

@@Mike_HuntizWet Small felt polishing ends. You can get 50 for $20 online. Add a little polish, and go to town! Use a low speed, you don't want to heat up the frets. They can come unseated.

@@Mike_HuntizWet You can use any type of metal polish. But you want to make sure it isn't TOO abrasive. Maguires Car Polish is actually pretty good. You don't need much, either. Just a dab on the felt. Just like Shawn does in this video. A little dab on the frets, and hit it with the Dremel. Be careful, and don't hit your fretboard. Tape it off if you want. Or use those fret polishing guide rails.
That bullfighter body looks exactly like a schecter C-1 and headstock looks a lot like an Ibanez

Good review. It is always amazing how close to being right a lot of budget guitars are. A little minor tune up makes most of them really playable. There was a time when anything that was not a Fender, Gretsch or gibson was junk that did not play right no matter what you did.

Got one of the last few of these on Amazon. They had an extra $10 off, so I stole it for $104 tax in. Polished the frets, and fret ends changed the PUps for Knock off chinese invaders and installed a brass nut. It has jumped into my top 3. You are so right, Sean this is the best inexpensive guitar I have bought off Amazon.

I got a Bullffighter a little over a year ago. It's a bare wood finish neckthru. Five piece neck. Good pickups. Nice gig bag. I know it's not your thing, but really nice Floyd trem. It also has the Ibanez style swing out truss rod cover. Very convenient. Just had to take the sharp fret ends off. Fantastic guitar. It was $219 at the time. Well worth it.
That rotary tool might be the hidden gem of the video. I've been looking to get one and you can't beat that price.

I’ve got there nylon string tele and I love it couldn’t believe the quality. Was looking at there normal steel tele with the humbucker can’t believe the price.

The 230 Bullfighter is a great guitar, you guys need to check that one out. Locking tuners, brass block for the whammy, full size pots and sound very good. Mine didn't need anything but tuning.

Dear Quarter sawn Sean, I'm a huge fan of your videos. They're informative, interesting and you make me laugh. One thing though. I've managed to get other reviewers like Daryl Braun and Rich Words to always give the weight of these guitars in lbs and kgs. The reason is that, as I'm sure you are aware, that manufacturs never give the weight in their specs. They will give you everything else but hardy ever the weight. The reason maybe to protect certain manufacturers who typically use heavy woods. I don't know why otherwise. I'm a Brit living in Berlin, Germany. The reason why it is important to me and many others is.. I've had a guitar hanging around my neck now for 50 years, I've also had some neck and shoulder issues from playing a lot and a motorbike accident. I play a Chinese Fender Thinline with P90s and a Musicman Copy.. both weigh in at 2.8 kilos that's 6.173 lbs for you imperialists. My lovely Black Strat comes in at 3.50kgs which is fairly average. If I'm looking for a guitar ( and who isn't) I won't buy one these days for much over 3kgs.
I bought a Jet 4oo online and had to ring them to ask for the weight.. they said 3.50.. it turned out to be 3.80kgs. I love it but it hardly gets played. These cheap guitars can be fantastic but the weight for oldtimers like myself of great importance. Trying to find the weight online for any of these Amazon guitars is like researching the armpit of a tardigrade. Please believe me when I say that most guys over 50 would like to have this info and I'm sure you could include it in your reviews in your own inimitable slyle and get even more fans. I have the Blue Bullfighter strat and its' an ass kicking guitar !
I recently bought a Bullfighter Tele style for $105! Excellent playability and really decent pickups. No shielding, but they did use shielded wires. My Tele sounds as good as any Fender. This one being reviewed has a print top (at this price range) and decent pickups. Mostly likely a basswood body. Many guitar makers are using Okuome which is a lighter substitute for mahogany - I can't tell the difference in tone or sustain.

luv the bullfighter d170 glossy brown/black ..needed just a bit of the truss rod turn, polished the frets, tightened ferrules and an intonation on the new .010 strings...its worth at least 3 times as much.

I’m still thinkin on getting a second Westcreek DC and turning one into a two pup guitar. I was really inspired by your video on re-winding those P90’s for that offset guitar. I’d love it if I could get the pickups done by you guys. I could send 2 for re-winding 😮and buy a third for the 2 pup, along with a 3 way switch, I think they’d look cool.
Any that’s not gonna be tomorrow or anything but it is a project I’d like to get done before too long (I’m almost 60 ffs).

I saw a bullfighter bass "used" and it looked brand new. Active pickups, nice frets, beautiful inlays, for 139 dollars. I was scared to buy it but I should have.

Looks like a Jackson body with an Ibanez style headstock. Back in the day I bought an Ibanez RG for 350 bucks from guitar center. All the electronics were crap and I replaced them with EMG's. The stock humbuckers looked exactly like those in the Bullfighter.

Now, I'm a drummer ...but I ain't a bad guitar player for being a drummer 😂 Or, so I've been told by a couple of pretty decent guitarists. I've learned a load from watching you. I went to grab me one of these & they're all gone already, dammit. But, I have a question:
When loosening a truss rod to eliminate a bow, or to simply give the neck some relief...shouldn't I loosen past the point I want to be at & then tighten back up to where I need? Similar to tuning a string?
Just curious ...I've seen it done both ways.
Loosen to the desired setting & leave it.

Good question: It varies to what the neck needs. You can feel when it's right after about 100 set ups lol

I've had a bullfighter lp100 for like 5 years. Fret work and bodywork are great.. I mean I didn't have this cheap guitar but they play good. Rewire the whole thing though and toss the pots and pickups
Thats a nice top mate.....Theyre Belcat Pickups. Pretty sure theyre made in Korea. My LTD ec256 had a form of those in it when i bought it. The B in the circle....
