We are glad to be here started watching yalls videos few months ago and can't wait for the next one to post. One day when my sons old enough I'll be traveling some of these same roads
Thank you for sharing this experience with us! I really enjoy the historical aspect of this season. I've always wanted to visit this area of Europe and watching your videos makes me feel like I'm finally getting the chance.
i have heard of ships being buried up to the guns so that the guns can be used to shoot basically recycling the ships. the tank might be just use as a gun
The series has been fantastic so far :D I hope you had a great adventure in Scandinavia I hope the 17 year old did not drive in Norway, because you must meet the Norwegian age requirement for driving licenses, which is that you must be 18 years old to drive.
Can't agree with you more, it's crazy to me these guys have 360k subs and other people who don't do half as wild as an adventure or 1/8th the amount of work with videography, choreography among other things and have more subscribers....
Thank you guys for the great representation of the Winter war in Finland , it’s very important for us Finns , my Grandfather was in the war and this brings back memories of he’s stories ! Now living in the US it’s great to see you guys enjoying the Scandinavia! Keep up the great work Harri
As a former M1 Abrams crewman I loved seeing the old tanks. This is on of the best video series on UA-cam. Looking forward to the rest. Greetings from Florida.
I can't wait to see the Abrams in Ukraine later this year, and I'm very excited to see The Leopard 2 and Challenger 2 tanks which will help push Putin's evil forces out of Ukraine's sovereign land.
Yes and since most have failed to learn from history, Europe is indeed repeating it right now, with Putin being Europe 21st century Hitler, and Russia acting like his Nazi Third Reich.
I do enjoy your films and adventures. absolutely an amazing crew and continued inspiration for our community. that being said, I do find the climbing in, on, over the tanks that clearly had loss of life during war very disgraceful to those who lost their life in that equipment. artifacts such as those demand the most amount of respect and care. all in all thanks for showing your adventures and keep up the amazing work.
What a powerful episode. Wonderful cinematography and narration. I learned history. I experienced wonder. And I shed a tear for the lives lost back then and the lives we are losing today.
The new series is very well done. You guys continue to inspire our adventures and help up get our kids off technology. Keep up the amazing work. Love all the historic content this season.
These four episodes have been nothing but stuff you would in a Prius. Three fantastic off road vehicles but zero off-roading. I can easily watch other channels to get museum content. I'm here to watch you guys navigate your vehicles through foreign terrain. Hopefully there's at least some of that to come in future episodes.
People who travel for the pleasure of discover, have a different mind, different culture and different eyes on the world. They simply have the key to achive peace all around the globe.
Massive respect to the two young brothers to keep the hats down while walking near or on graves. Rare thing to see out of middle Europe. Hats down to your parents they should be proud.
Walking in the footsteps of history is an awe inspiring and extremely humbling experience.... I once walked on Iwo Jima and was almost brought to my knees with emotion as a young Marine.... Thanks for sharing a part of the world that I hope to see with my own eyes, especially being of Norwegian descent.
I hope the museums and old battlefields is the closest to war those young bucks will ever be. This video is a sobering reminder of how the power of ONE person can change and end the lives of millions in a virtual plink of an eye for the sake of control.
Way to go Clay, I’ve been with you guys ever since XO UA-cam started, I never missed any series or episodes you bring, keep bringing it bro, I would love to write more appreciation words to you and your crew. Even thought some of your old members are not here with you, above all best wishes for your adventures that you showing us, I was in Sweden two weeks ago. I travelled most of Europe, not by Toyota 4X4, but hopefully I will follow your footsteps one day. I share all your videos with families, relatives, friends, colleagues, and neighbors. Best wishes to all of you, bro, and be safe out there. Again thank you for showing us these magnificent adventures.
Enjoyable Nordic serie, very interesting with a lot of insights thanks for sharing this, still impressed with the overland set up and the convoy traveling through the whole world.
Very heavy, very good…respectfully done. You guys are all amazing. Thanks for taking us all back to revisit history and reminds us how incredible cruel people can be. I will never quite understand how people blindly obey.
I am at a loss here… why are your expeditions not being covered by Netflix or some other form of mainstream media? I think that the average off-roader might skim through thinking that this content is irrelevant. And perhaps mainstream media may think that this is a niche community. However, the insight into the culture and history of your destinations far surpasses that of National Geographic. The cinematography is excellent, as is the narration and personal content. There are so many people out there who crave this content. I am only 1 minute into this video and I am blown away.
Loving this series! What a freaking adventure! Not a big fan of the thick border on the top and bottom of the screen tho. Everything else about this is spot on!
That tank at the North Cape is a Renault from WWI, It was still used by the French in the beginning of WWII. The US used it during WWI and as someone mention they were used by the Germans as portable pillboxes on their "Atlantic Wall".
Great history lessons from up north of Europe, thanks guys hopefully you’ll explore Africa as well from Morocco all the way south. Watching your episodes from South Carolina 🇲🇦🇺🇸👏🏻
Hey ! Really loving this expedition so far, I love ll the history over there, it's crazy to think they have Churches and stuff older than our countries haha Looking forward to Episode 5, Cheers !
Please tell me that someone at least made the "I can see Russia from my house!" joke while in camp! Excellent film as always! Europe is rife with history and very pleased to see the focus on history in this installment. I can't agree more fully that we need to learn from it, lest we repeat it.
Thanks so much for this history lesson - I have being following all yout travels, this time into my backyard. Looking so much to follow onwards to The Faroe Island.
Pretty sure the French tank was part of the Atlantic wall Germany built to stop invasions. They used old captured tanks as rudimentary bunkers. Love the channel by the way, looking to take my camper van to Norway this year.
Gosh your video skills are getting out of control. Love the subtle tank and machine gun sounds while showing the tank etc. Subtle and super skillful. Props for outstanding cinematography
awesome cinematograhy ı got goosebumps when ı seen the footages of war. People gone for nothing. hundreds of thousands of people were died of war and related events. this episode acknowledged me a lot and let me see their history a bit. am fom turkey and we almost know nothing about nordic countrties and what happened there. ı hope one day ı am going to see there and have my coffee as ı would be looking at the nature.
... " Sitting here eating American burgers while looking at Russia ... " that is the most American thing I have heard in a very long time I love it! haha great episode
Always love and make me smile how americans are surprised with everything from history older than couple of hundred years like churches, castles etc like in other episodes. And here, with things old only couple decades... yes in Europe there is history and something interesting happened on every step...
An excellent point about taking advantage of peacetime. I have long dreamed of a trip through the Baltics and on to St. Petersburg; now I doubt that such a trip could occur in my lifetime.
As a Norwegian I'm sorry to see that you missed out on the two most beautiful areas of our country; Helgeland and Lofoten. And especially the island of Senja. You should definitely head back at some point.
@@ExpeditionOverland That would be dope to see! Let me know if you need to know some good places to see. I use all my sparetime for hiking and outdoor exploring here in norway. 🤠🇳🇴
I agree Russia is a beautiful overlanding destination. We thought it was a great spot. We did it in winter as in NZ we never get that opportunity of snow and ice. Cheers from Auckland- Traveller Nest Overland
Do you have film you can and will share with us on the Russia adventure you and Curt had? Would love to see that. Didn't you also do one in the Arctic? Would love to see that as well. We keep shareing your work with everyone we can. It is so amazing. Cathleen
While it feels like you're selling Finland a little short by just showing a bunch of forests, you're... eh... actually giving a pretty accurate picture. It's all just forest :P There are a whooole bunch of trails, very very long trails in seriously challenging condition in northern Finland, trails that would definitely challenge you with mud, rivers, hundreds of kilometers of overgrown tracks that just the reindeer herders and hunters use. The TET is a very civilized setting by comparison. Whenever I go up north, I just blast through the first 900kms of forest to get to the interesting parts though, so I recognize rolling into camp after driving for twelve hours.
Do you know what time 7pm is in other countries 😢. Once woke up to watch the Mayweather v Pacquiao match. Regretted the rest of my day. The match was at 3am 🙆🏾♂️
Everyone should learn and study war and how much sacrifice men around the world has done to brought us peace for so many years. World war 3 might come but I’m greatful for those who fought.
Thanks for being here! This experience was one we will never forget...

This channel is highly underrated and should have more than a million followers. The quality and picturization are just mesmerizing.
Can't agree with you more, it's crazy to me these guys have 360k subs and other people who don't do half as wild as an adventure or 1/8th the amount of work with videography, choreography among other things and have more subscribers....
I love the historical content you are sharing on this journey! It really changes the tone of each location. Great job XO!
Thank you!
Probably the best episode ever, love the war history and would love to go there one day. 👍
Yeah, like who knew Russia and Norway share a border
“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” - George Santayana, sums up this episode succinctly. Great episode. 👍
Thank you guys for the great representation of the Winter war in Finland , it’s very important for us Finns , my Grandfather was in the war and this brings back memories of he’s stories ! Now living in the US it’s great to see you guys enjoying the Scandinavia! Keep up the great work

Thank you Harri! We learned so much from being there.

I can only congratulate your team for the content you have shared here, which reminds us that Peace is an essential but extremely fragile asset.
The Finn/Soviet war section gave me chills.. those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it
Yes and since most have failed to learn from history, Europe is indeed repeating it right now, with Putin being Europe 21st century Hitler, and Russia acting like his Nazi Third Reich.

I could watch these and listen to Clay all day. Inspirational, educational and emotional all wrapped up beautifully for our viewing. Thank you!
I am from Norway and the respectful manner you visited us in is appreciated 😀 Lovely series!
This just keeps getting better, congrats XO crew

Can’t risk damaging all the free gear they were given
People who travel for the pleasure of discover, have a different mind, different culture and different eyes on the world. They simply have the key to achive peace all around the globe.
Thank you for sharing the perspective on the Winter War, great to combine travel and history.
Massive respect to the two young brothers to keep the hats down while walking near or on graves. Rare thing to see out of middle Europe. Hats down to your parents they should be proud.
I can't put into words how good this series is 🙌
Awesome work guys..magnificent! The journey the adventure the information and the rides. Proud Taco owner here. Cheers!!👌
Maybe the best XO ever, such a sad and powerful history
Thank you so much for this content it is extremely awesome. Better than anything that's on TV right now
Excellent film on the tragedies of war in Finland and ironically news just today held the announcement of the acceptance of Finland into NATO.
Whoa.
The series keeps getting better and better!! Haven't missed any episodes through any of the journeys!
Thanks for continuing to put out such great content and cinematography. Greetings from Montana. 😉
Thanks for watching! Greetings!
I really enjoyed this video. The story telling and history tidbits were fantastic!
I hope the museums and old battlefields is the closest to war those young bucks will ever be. This video is a sobering reminder of how the power of ONE person can change and end the lives of millions in a virtual plink of an eye for the sake of control.
Always look forward to seeing these adventures. You all do a fantastic job

Stunning video as always but really special history lesson(s) from the scandinavia. Cheers all the way folks!
This episode is historic! I love it!

This series is amazing. Love the history lesson that comes with this.
Great work guys.10/10.And thank you.
Such Deep Sadness, at that Battle Field. My heart aches. Cathleen
Awesome video as always XO Crew. The places y'all visit on your journey around Europe are chalked full of history.

Great episode and history! The sheer magnitude of lives lost in WW2 is astounding. Such a waste of life
Beautiful. Thank you.
I love Finland. Got to spend some time there a few years ago, in winter time it's incredible
Yes, and now thanks to the insane mass-murdering dictator and war criminal Putin, Finland is NATO's 31st member.
Excellent. Such a powerful episode. Loved it!
Loving this series! What a freaking adventure! Not a big fan of the thick border on the top and bottom of the screen tho. Everything else about this is spot on!
4,500 km travelled but only 4 episodes. WE NEED MORE EPISODES. doesn't matter even if it is the Gopro footage of the crew fooling around and driving.
excellent work, touching on history and humanity. great thought provoking episode. while traveling. good lesson for all.
Thank you for sharing such great history! And another excellent video in the series, waiting for the next part 😊
Excelent video, like others! Good content, great shotting, beatiful places! Next expedition come to Romania! 🙂

Fantastic video, love all your adventures! Have to ask, what is the giant pan/skillet I see you cook on so often? I like it!
Great history lessons from up north of Europe, thanks guys hopefully you’ll explore Africa as well from Morocco all the way south. Watching your episodes from South Carolina 🇲🇦🇺🇸👏🏻

AMAZING SERIES. Very Jealous of your explorations !!
Looks great! It’s funny to see the pecking order based on sleeping arrangement

It was pretty crazy! Thank you!
Thanks so much for this history lesson - I have being following all yout travels, this time into my backyard. Looking so much to follow onwards to The Faroe Island.
Thank you for the history lesson. Those sites were truly amazing.
21:26 anyone? "air flow"... Well played, editor
👌🏻
Love the series. I do shed a tear on the Russian/Scandinavian border war. In America most have never experienced hardship, I know I haven't.
Pretty sure the French tank was part of the Atlantic wall Germany built to stop invasions. They used old captured tanks as rudimentary bunkers. Love the channel by the way, looking to take my camper van to Norway this year.
I'm learning a lot with you. For example I can do the same road trip with my 2005 Honda Jazz for a fraction of the cost, but with less American epic
Love the video ❤ It looks like amazing experience. ❤❤ Thanks for sharing you epic adventure journeys.
Amazing love the historical insights ❤
Short n Sweet, just WOW... EPIC SMH ( ANOTHER EPISODE WITH A PREMIUM CIGAR ) 💨💨💨
Gosh your video skills are getting out of control. Love the subtle tank and machine gun sounds while showing the tank etc. Subtle and super skillful. Props for outstanding cinematography
The vlog video should have been watched by a lot of people

Guys your videos are great, Marco from Italy
An excellent point about taking advantage of peacetime. I have long dreamed of a trip through the Baltics and on to St. Petersburg; now I doubt that such a trip could occur in my lifetime.
Thanks war criminal Putin!
Watching this reminds of when I visited Poland and got to visit Auschwitz, it was so much to take in. very sad.
Your respect and enthusiasm was greatly appreciated. Great episode.
Amazing video...

at around 31:35 you can see that the roof tents are still totally wet, do you dry them before folding and closing them ? How are you avoiding mold ?
Do you know what time 7pm is in other countries 😢. Once woke up to watch the Mayweather v Pacquiao match. Regretted the rest of my day. The match was at 3am 🙆🏾♂️
The strange part of the Nordic videos is that the cars are so clean... 😅

Awesome episode! Awesome bit of world history.
What is the wok Rachel uses for cooking? Would love one for my own setup
