I have one with the drive by wire steering and I love the feel. Best steering I've had. I'm guessing the criticism of it was some people wanting to sound like purists and then as often happens others jumped on board to sound like they know what they're talking about too.

Good information however you are mixing up some of your information. The LANE DEPATURE WARNING (LDW) and LANE DEPATURE PREVENTION (LDP) available on the Q50 won't keep you centered in the lane. It has a ping pong effect meaning, it would only activate when it determines that you are going out of your lane causing a side to side effect. So, while it kept you in your lane, it was not very smooth. Fast forward to the 2019 QX50 Which had the new generation of autonomous driving capabilities from infiniti. This one kept you centered in the lane constantly as opposed to the ping pong side to side effect. It will also steer around "gentle curves". So what I am saying I'd the system on the Q50 and q60 are more reactive whereas the on on the QLQX50 AND QX55 are more proactive
