    Hey bro how did you remove the crankshaft sprocket? I need to remove it so I can replace new oil pump.

    Great video! I'm currently with a Delica project and I was wondering where did you get that workshop manual for 4G64 engine. It seems very complete and I cannot find it!

    So I’ve been thinking about getting another engine and building it up n stuff or take mine out since it’s low mileage and just rebuilding it since there’s white smoke starting to come out at stop lights after sitting for a while, but anyway I absolutely love watching your videos you go so In depth with everything you have to do even showing us the manual I feel like i Can get a 4g64 for 350 and rebuild it using your videos

    DO check your pump clearances if you are looking to re-use the case and gears. Trust me...

      I did hit them with a feeler gauge, my only uncertainty was the sealing surface so if it leaks I'll just pick up a freshy, for now it's just a daily with big plans in the future.

      Seeing that you said it has a new front case I would start my search there to verify proper installation and proper gasket/rtv application then finally proper bolt torque for everything. Without being able to see the trouble I can only make assumptions but hopeful youll get it figured out!

    one question can you change the lifter rocker arms to adjustable lifters from the mitsubishi mirage 1.8l since the rocker arms look alike are the adjustable better? i think the cam rod is the same size. you can only replace the rockers arms

    Great video know anyone or website that sell 2.4l blocks ??

    • @BuildBoostDrive
      @BuildBoostDrive  4 роки тому +1

      Unfortunately no I usually source my block through either buying cheap shells or part outs or junkyard pick and pulls. Or get friendly with your local dsm groups on Facebook.

    did ya dismantle and clean ya hydraulic lifters?

    • @BuildBoostDrive
      @BuildBoostDrive  Рік тому

      I didn't disassemble this head as it was a good known working head, the only issue I ran into down the road with it was a leaking cam seal.

    What engine harness are you using for the 4g64 in the mirage swap?

    • @BuildBoostDrive
      @BuildBoostDrive  5 років тому

      No mirage swap currently going on but, as far as I know youd only need a harness corresponding with the head choice your running.

      If you have the 1.8 mirage engine it’s a direct swap just might need to lengthen a few wires
