Thank you for posting these pictures, young Jamaicans need to see what happened before they arrived here and the journey our ancestors traveled to get us here.
Lovely to see these old video of Jamaica 🇯🇲 this is historical indeed. I have seen some other videos but this is one of oldest I have seen. Thanks for sharing 👍
Oh wow! I Love this Video. This during my Grandparents time. My Mom was born 2 years later and her older brother in 1926. Please post more of these films. Thank you for sharing. God bless you..
I can see that donkey carts & drays pulled by mules were very prevalent then! This tells me if you owned such means of transport then you were doing well! 😂😅😁
If only there was a way to make technicolor possible to see the footage in its true historical glory days of those times. I know the technology was available then hence the ‘if only’. Nevertheless what an incredible footage.

Yeah, working manual jobs and not being in positions of authority or owning any assets.
So true my friend
That's true and also educational for those with common interest of their country future.
Rather than trying to destroy the older ones' hard work.

The spirit of Kingston we wish we had in this present day. They didn't have much. But they had love.

How nostalgic, post some more
Only for you, unless your relatives are white and so are you, aint nothing nostalgic about it
They were socialized, orderly and civilized in those days. What we have now is the opposite.
"In those days"...you mean colonial days when the white man kept everything in order?
Thank you very much
As with most places.
I love seeing these footage so simple and peaceful would love to know where in ja thou compare the transformation
I believe that some of the footage is in downtown kingston jamaica.
Beautiful footage
Thanks for visiting
One old man once said to me jamaica use to be like London we was right if you look hat any pictures from England London and compare it to jamaica 🇯🇲
Only some of the babies from that time are with us right now 😔
Much sweeter times...and not a gun in sight!
You must be crazy if you think these were sweeter times. Jamaica was not an independent country during this time.
Seriously? The Colonizers had their guns at our heads while their feet stomped our necks🙄🤦🏾♀️
It look sad, just a few minutes video showed you the position black had vs wyts.
My grandma was born 1928 and I'm sure she's turning in her grave to what Jamaica has become 😢
Indeed Jamaica we beloved country has become grossly uncivilized, with no apologies
What the whole entire world has become.
@@Stewy-xw9fz Yes Unfortunately you are correct. It not just our beloved Jamaica, I hear the same apathy from our neighbor Caribbean countries too😢
@@tacmon29, and you think the rape, torture, and enslavement of our people was civilized?
I would call this a huge overstatement of what is actually happening in Jamaica. Also may I ask if you are currently living in Jamaica?@@tacmon29
💯🔥💯🇯🇲💯
My 4 grand parents were in Primary (elementary) in those days
Downtown Kingston
Great grand parents just met

The music is annoying
Mi see an 'ole time handcart man😂
Why most Jamaicans appears to lose their front tooth.
It's funny how there's no remains of those old 1920's cars or tram etc. Not one piece a Ole iron nuh left? 😢
