  • This is the second foam sack I've made. I got inspiration from Lovesac and decided to make my own. Hope you enjoy it! :)
    ⇓ INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO MAKE THIS SACK ⇓
    Here is a STEP BY STEP instruction:
    gyazo.com/db48...
    Check out when i made a foamsac for animals: (and how to sew a zipper)
    • Making My Own Foam Sac...
    This took me:
    * 14 hours to cut all of the foam pieces
    * 5 hours sewing by machine
    * 1 hour sewing by hand
    * 1 hour filling the sac etc.
    Total: 21 hours straight. I did this in 2 weeks.
    The material cost me: 1600:- SEK/around 176$ USD/ 150£ Euros
    I used:
    ✴240x220cm plain sheet
    ✴170x130cm two side blanket
    ✴5 of the foam packages á (80x200x3 cm)
    ✴4x Moisture bags
    ✴Velcro straps 20mm wide, white.
    ✴sewing machine
    Here is a picture of the drawing:
    gyazo.com/c960...
    if you decide to make this yourself, feel free to send me pictures of it!
    Good luck and have fun! :)

      Maybe use a meat grinder for the pieces? It will ruin the grinder but it wouldnt be an issue if you only use it for styrofoam

    Hello! regarding the bigger version in the back you wouldn't happen to know the measurements? I want to make a big one like that but I am not sure how to go about it regarding size, any advice.

    • @DjosieN
      @DjosieN  6 років тому +1

      Yes, i used a twoside-blanket that was 220cmX150cm. So the two circles were ~84 cm in diameter and the cylinder was 95cm in diameters. So the cylinders measurements is 3meters around and 136 cm long. So you are gonna sew the edges of the cylinder (3m) together. If its hard to understand, just look at the picture i posted down in the description but change the measurements. Good luck 😊

    Vad får den för "konsistens"? Är den ganska fast, eller kan man ändra formen lätt när man sitter iden? Funderar nämligen på att göra en men vet inte om jag ska använda mig av skumgummi eller något annat...

    • @DjosieN
      @DjosieN  6 років тому

      Tack, roligt att höra 😀 Desto mindre den är desto lättare är den att forma just när du ligger i den. Sen brors det på hur stora bitarna är. Den blir inte hård alls när man ligger i den. Jag har sovit i den en hel natt och det har fortfarande känts som jag ligger på ett moln när jag vaknat 😊 sen kan man ju ha olika sorters skumgummi. Som ex. Durafoam som är lite tempur liknande är nog bäst. Eller iaf att ha hälften hälften då den ger bra komfort 😊 Jag testade ha i lite polyester bomull, men det klumpade sig bara och säcken blev svår att ”fluffa upp” så det rekommenderar jag inte att ha i 😊 Lycka till! 😁
