- Queen Elizabeth II's coffin left Buckingham Palace for the last time Wednesday, taken amid somber pageantry on a horse-drawn gun carriage past crowds of mourners to the Houses of Parliament, where the late monarch will lie in state for four days.
Anne is highly respected in the UK, she's no nonsense, down to earth. I live near her home in Argyll, Scotland and she's a very friendly and active member of the community, always says hello when she's walking the dogs and has time for a chat.
The horses are impressive, roped to gun carriage, hemmed in by two flanks of men, with Big Ben and gun salutes punching the air, while maintaining a slow and steady pace!

i'm impressed, thousands of people, all quiet and respectful. Could you imagine 10's of thousands of Americans? Dozens of fights, at least 2 shootings, murders, trash everywhere, someone would have charged the procession, political signs, and general chaos and disrespect.
Exactly she would probably be labeled a colonizer, white supremest, extremist, or a nazi by the lefties.
I am not a fan of the regime but even I think that the upcoming reboot episode of "Alias" where they accuse Putin of assasinating Gorbachev is in bad taste even if the accusation turns out to be true.

I absolutely love to see the horses as part of the procession. I haven’t been able to prove it, but it looks like the horse are all black. Black is not the commonest color in horses so it’s quite an accomplishment to have so many black horses.

I really do not get it...why would anyone want to queue up for hours, just to see a dead persons coffin, no matter who that person is. What they should have done is charge people 50p a head to view it and then given the proceeds to Charity. At least some good would have come out of it. All it is at this point, is more expense to the Tax Payer.
@Neo Varley Downes Would appear very tacky to ask for money ! That is not how it is done . In my community people will pay their last respects this way . When my father's coffin was being driven to the church service I was very touched to see hundreds of our neighbours lining the road to respectfully wave him off.
@@twoofsix3b3g Not at all, it would be for charity and at least it would be Tax Payers money well spent and you are missing the point. It is not about paying respects, it is about the money it is costing the Tax Payer to do it and the absolute madness of people lining up for hours on end just to look at some strangers coffin, for 30 seconds. Lets face it, 99% are only doing it so they can say "I saw the Queens coffin", that to me is just macabre. What I also find ridiculous is people crying over someone they did not know, who dies peacefully in her sleep at the ripe old age of 96. Cry for little Olivia Pratt-Korbel, who's life was taken so soon, now that is a real tragedy, but not for a 96 year old Woman who had a life and in all honesty, at 96, how much longer was she supposed to live for. The other thing is those that were interviewed and said "It was a real shock"...?....Really?! Again I write, she was 96 for goodness sake. It just all seems ridiculous. Not to mention the BBC showing 8-9 days of nothing but the Queen. The same thing over and over and over again. talk about milking it. This is not what I want to pay my TV Licence for and next year my payment will be short and when they want to know why, I shall tell them...." I switched the BBC off for 9 days, on my last payment and you owe me for those 9 days." I have a right to moan about it all and the futility of it and the cost of it, as much as others have the right to watch it, if that is what floats their boat, but they really need to get out more.
@Graham Bishop Yes...So much care that thousands pf people that attended that queue for 22 plus hours, to "pay their respects", once home, could not wait to log in to eBay, Gumtree, etc. so they could sell those wristbands. To be honest, I could not care less what you say and in light of all that, your comment is meaningless and you are another "one of those", that is missing the point entirely.
