Indonesians love to smile even to a foreigner.Try to speak bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language) like 'apa kabar?' (how are you?), terima kasih (thank you), then you will definitely win their smiles on their faces. Keep up the good work!
You're right.
Many Indonesians are Muslim, in Islam smiling is a reward, and that attitude has long been influenced by people from other religions in Indonesia. Be us like this :)

I loved this documentary! The more I learn about Indoesia the more I want to go there.
A place with peace, delicious food, where rich and poor can live hand in hand, where ordinary people live their lives gratefully.
Peace? yea sure..

in vidio majority is East Indonesian is Christiany and first is Javanese then Flores Maumere,Toraja ,Aceh etc,..btw nice vidio, love song .. it's a song from flores " Maumere "
From all of many travel docus (im assuming this is one) out there, this kinda approach appeal to me most. Not pretentious and gives space to local's voices. Simple yet powerful.
I am Indonesian and I'd like to say thank to you for making such a great video. Love it!

Hello
As a constructive opinion, I feel this documentary should be narrated, because it didn't quite give me context on guideline or the stories about the different people were just random, meaning it didn't connect quite much. But I loved the direction of the photography, amazing!!!!!
great documentary on a gentle wonderful people and very beautiful environment. thanks.
Thank you for making this beautiful documentary about Indonesia. Look forward for your other documentaries. Cheers from Solo, Indonesia!

This is an absolutely beautifully filmed and produced piece of content. Do you know who was involved in filming/editing/production? And what was the motivation? Thanks.
Dear Arman,
Your kind words warmed my heart. Thank you!
This short doc was filmed, edited and produced entirely by me and my friend. Our aim is to showcase the diverse beauty of cultures around the world. We want to break stereotypes and bring light to the other side of the story.
You can follow my work through Instagram: instagram.com/deepin.doc
@@deepin8048 I watched the Papa New Guinea video after this one as well. Really impressed by the artistic ability behind many aspects of this - the composition of the photography/filmography in particular is incredible, as well as the pacing of the editing, the mood and use of music. Also all the great answers given in the footage is indicative of a very good interviewer. All while tastefully giving you an unfiltered insight into a different culture.
you're both clearly highly talented artists. on par with people who might be contracted to produce a documentary for tens of thousands of dollars, or even hundreds. Might be a difference in market positioning... but not in terms of talent/ability. Hope you keep making beautiful content because the quality speaks for itself. Will be following on instagram, btw you may wish to update the instagram listed on the youtube account because its the old deepin.world one
Cheers :)
@@_arman_ Thank you a million times! We are honoured to hear such wonderful feedback. 'Deep in: Indonesia' is actually our first made documentary, and 'Deep in: Papua New Guinea' our second one, so we are beyond thrilled of this uplifting response.
We believe knowledge is power and the driving force of change. We do not want money for what we do, since we are doing this for the pure love of our planet and every creature living on Earth. Just trying to spread some good vibes! :)
@@_arman_ And thanks for reminding of the Instagram account update! We have been a bit busy lately, but today I will take the time to update all information.
My weekend is blessed. (I'm Indonesian and very happy (but also very sad) to watch this documentary). Hope to see more contents like this and more people could watch it too...

Hello
The song name is gemu fa mi re
Amazing shots. Great composition. Music. Interview subjects. Beautiful all around.
it is a sad story, but reallity.....
Niha has such a sweet, beautiful spirit about her. In this four years gone I hope she is doing well that her dreams of a public education center have been or will one day be realized.
Top stuff. Amazing video!! Thinking of visiting soon and this is getting em excited to go....sometimes the video reflects the person who made it more than the subjects featured? Overall beautifully shot
Love your style of video - refreshing. it’s subject focused and not egocentric, dumbed down “UA-camr” subscriber driven…keep it up I’d love to see more.

So cool!!
12:27 In the Philippines, we call it Bayanihan, helping your neighbor in the community without asking for money in return. Usually this happens when a family would like to relocate their house to another area or yes built their house, and any help that the community can offer, now a days this culture or tradition is about to vanish.

Hindu & buddhism. But it's not our so called "native" or "original" culture/religion. We used to be animism before the Indians spread hinduism to indonesia just like how arabs spread islam and europeans spread christianity
