I sparred a black belt that was like training for 5+ years already while I just got my black belt a few months ago. I busted up my finger cuz I panicked lmfao😭
Had my first experience sparring at a tournament. I first tried to dodge them which kept getting me kicked off the matt. My coach said to block so I started blocking which was great but I couldn't get any kicks in 😢😢 This video would have been super helpful!! Thank you. Ready to jump back in and practice these.
I'm going to show this to my 13yr old son that is a black belt on his 4th year practicing wich is pretty good but he likes for his opponents to attack while backing up waiting for the opening wich works good but in tournaments he only have so much room and be out the ring so the angle strategy should help him alot thanks for the vid and I gave you a like and subscribed.

I’m one belt off black belt in ITF taekwondo. When I spar in competitions I get a lot of people that come at me with multiple punches to the head and they are relentless with them. I fight fire with fire too but what would you recommend would help in this situation?
Timing your counter attacks. Pretty much dodging the punches through slides or rolls and angles and always throwing a counter while you do that, that will stop them from coming as much. Although ITF is no contact right? So that might explain why they keep coming no matter what you do because they do not really get hit. Generally if you attack and you get countered, it will slow you down no matter how aggressive you are. Besides that you open yourself when you attack so you could get countered hard.
Im a brown belt and when it comes to tournament i am so bad at sparring like I don't see any improvements i keep training and training till i reach another level i keep getting bronze or silver but that doesn't stop me
I cannot give you suggestions based on the emotional state of your opponent. And for the head shots, you would have to use dodges and make sure you do not expose your head by leaning forward.
I feel all this work fine just in prac sparring....😂 In the tournament only way to fight an agressive opponents is to be agressive as well....its tkd after all opponent would get the point even if his kicks barely land...thats what i learnt from my first few kyorugis...nd now i dont loose except for a few fights in open tournaments...most opponents get naturally scaredy and try to defend more and i feel thats a major mistake
that makes him predictable, so you can always doge and change the distance on him. Going straight head level is pretty easy to miss, it`s more obvious and you can make him miss through footwork and distance management.
Thanks I hav 4 people in my taekwondo class that are always so aggressive and I’m gonna stand back kind of kick to the head guy even though they’re a higher belt than me I’m better than them and I’m still stay calm
I got beat by a 13 year old girl who is like the 2nd best out of the 70 people in my school (including adults) 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 AND IM GONNA WORK HARD TO GRT MY REVENGE AHHHHHHHHH
Very hepful. Sometimes I'm not thinking "angles" and only reacting back or forward to my sparring partner. If I give them angles, it makes them have to think more.
Im from another country that doesn't even share language with yours, But I still watch all your videos, I think i've become addicted to them, they are so good, and I think you are literally the only TKD youtube channel that explains so professionally combat techniques (others tend to explain how to kick or how to do certain combo, But not something as deep as this). Keep uploading those pls, im a big fan

Obrigado!
The blocks were for the front legs alone, Can this work when the aggressive fighter is combining both?
Yes
Can you kick the lead leg in taekwondo? And if yes would this be a good option to slow them down?
You cannot deliberately kick their leg, you can however block the space and that would slow them down.

Its ilelgal to hit the back of the head? So can the opponent just turn his head away from ur kick and it wont count?
yeah but nobody would do that because it is dangerous for themselves

How to spar an enemy that always use 45° kick left and right and every kick he moves almost 1 meter.
How to play against axe kick

that makes him predictable, so you can always doge and change the distance on him. Going straight head level is pretty easy to miss, it`s more obvious and you can make him miss through footwork and distance management.
Hit the chest gear a lot with spin kicks and counter him plus dodging would also be great

you start obstructing their actions by shortening the distance and clinching plus thru counter attacks.
