“Darth Vader’s master, but not Anakin Skywalkers” chills.
Whilst I find Return of the Jedi as my favorite in the whole series and perfect in my eyes, I’d want this dialogue dubbed in a cut of the film, it would be so powerful and show Anakin redeeming himself and overcoming the Monster who ruined his life!
@@henrygambles3652I'm surprised no one has used AI to recreate this scene in either a dub or animation yet
@@Bob_Squared23 they haven’t used AI but it’s technically been edited into certain clips if you look it up!
@@henrygambles3652still he made his own choices but in the end he made things right.
@@Elitesolider1023 Yes he did and the refused to let his son die!!
Palpatine: “NOOOOO!!! Vader release me. Vader I command you! Put me down!”
Vader: “I will. Down the Core Shaft! Down to your death!”
Palpatine: Vader! I am your master!
Anakin: Darth Vader's master! but not anakin Skywalker's!.
Palpatine: (Screams into the Core Shaft & OIlbiterated)
Palpatine: PUT ME DOWN!!!!
Vader: Ok..... yeets Palpatine down the shaft
"Darth vader's master, but not anakin skywalker's"
A fucking radio drama was better than the entire sequel trilogy
Admittedly the Holiday specials were but yeah, Vader’s “My Son” to the moment he drops Palpatine should be in a new cut of return of the Jedi!
so because of one line, it's better than the entire trilogy? not saying the trilogy is amazing, i mean it's ok, but i wouldn't say one line is better than the entire thing.
@@Bendernitythis is where you are wrong the movies that you refer to are not even a ‘trilogy’ they are not cohesive in any way.
@@rossgeddes9438 doesn't matter how cohesive they are. they're a series of 3 films.
@@Bendernity well I would say it does matter, you are correct they are 3 movies grouped together so from a technical perspective they are labeled universally as a ‘trilogy’ but story wise is a disaster which as a ‘trilogy’ doesn’t tell a story from first to third movie is just a bunch of turd all mashed together on screen for about 7 hours with a spend of $1.1 billion - let that sink in some of the scenes and universe destroying decisions they made
Vader's "MY SOOONN" would have worked much better in the movie than that "No..NOOOO!"
No offense I like the idea but I kinda disagree with it cause to me the no makes perfect sense cause Vader began his life with the word no when he saved palpatine from mace and he ended his life with the word no when he saved his son I see it as poetry it all connects in a way
I’m pretty sure the “No NOOOOO” was added into the special edition but I prefer it to Vader just straight up saying nothing, it makes it feel a bit weird.
@@lemons3703 It was added later, yes. I think it was something like 2005.

I tried
Palpatine sounds like Count Dooku😂
Count poopoo
I honestly prefer this Palpatine voice. While Ian macdermid is an amazing actor and plays the role he was given perfectly, I still would’ve rathered for the emperor to sound like an actual RULER. With the normal voice, he just sounds like a weird crazy wizard. In this he sounds like he is the MASTER of lord Vader and Vader is just his wild dog
LOL.
That’s his Sith voice. In both legends and canon he speaks quite normally when interacting with the wider galaxy
@@kainthedragoon8081 no he doesn’t how we hear him in the movies is how he always sounds
1:03 anakin skywalker is back for the one last time 😭
Someone needs to add Vader's "My son!" Line to the movie
Same! That line, that scream belongs, not the "no"s, THIS does. Holy shit I want to see that line edited in too.
I did the thing although I sorta replaced all the audio with this ua-cam.com/video/2UlXhzkXDM8/v-deo.html
@@apathyisdeath2977 it was so good

@@apathyisdeath2977it’s better without any sound
0:38 That scream. THAT should've been put in the special editions. Forget the "no"s, THIS should've been there in place. Vader's bellowing roar whilst saving his son, that line gave me chills. Someone's gotta make an edit of Vader picking up Sidious with that line. The subtle silence of the original scene is perfect, the "no"s shouldn't have been added, but this, this would've made a brilliant addition to the scene. The voice that saw Vader become Anakin. A defiant roar towards to the Emperor, and an act of love to save his only son.
It's a bit late but I made a vid replacing the audio of rotj with this

I tried my best
ua-cam.com/video/Xevnsh4ibfQ/v-deo.htmlsi=v4zNZrvqOi3tL2iv
Wow that's very dramatic, still love the "Vader's master not Anakin Skywalker"
Someone needs to get Ian and James to recreate this scene while they are still with us.
“while they’re still with us” well that’s was a little dark
Carrie fisher has left us, we could be running out of time
@@aksalaheddine78 Since 4.25 years ago, according to the age of your reply.
Also David Prowse unfortunately died in 2020, so yeah, we are indeed running out of time.
I don't think James has it in him anymore. His voice acting has been declining over the years.
0:05 *N o O o O o O o O !*
Sounds so ridiculous lol
Naaaaoooow!
This play was made in 1996 and fun fact the lines being said here are the original lines removed from the movie return of the Jedi
"I command you put me down!" Very poor choice of words.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 joker right.
The voice acting of this may be kinda cheesy but I still love it. The music, the sound effects and the dialogue is honestly far more preferable to the actual scene (especially in the special editions🙄). I honestly believe that if they gave james earl jones the lines of “you will NOT touch my son!” And “The master of Darth Vader. But NOT of ANAKIN SKYWALKER” and allowed Jones to give much more emotion and strength than he was usually allowed for the character, he would’ve absolutely killed it and it would’ve been by far my favorite scene in the saga
This ALL OF THIS. Ian and James need to get together and do the voices.
It's difficult to not be cheesy in a radio drama, because unlike in movies, you can only use sound.
@@stolasgoetia93 Bruh then Return of the Jedi would be absolutely Flawless
0:21 uh oh he shouldn’t have said that. Lmao guess he forgot that anakin was once a slave as a child and despised slave traders all his life.
00:38-01:07 That dialogue would have definitely been an improvement to the actual scene in the movie and made the Emperor's demise all the more satisfying. Someone should get Ian McDiarmid and James Earl Jones to record those lines.
It was the original text but the scene was to fast. But they could slow it down or doing the way to the core longer. This lines are badass.
But it doesn't need it. It's already implied in the scene. It's called subtlety and making the audience think, rather than spelling it out.
@Alfred Vickers And yet that didn’t stop George Lucas from adding that lame “Noooo!” into later editions.
@@Ravenclaw022 Or at the very least cut it down to the best lines. "I am your Master. Darth Vader's Master but not Anakin Skywalker's!!"
I don't think the Emperor's lines needed to be in there.
However, Vader's bellowing roar whilst saving his son would absolutely have fit. Much better than the "no"s in the later edition.
Imagine the emotional impact that this would have had on the scene.
Movie version Anakin: Silent and brave as he's sacrifices his life for his son as the noble deed of redemption to the lightside
Radio version Anakin: Pulling off one liners as he yeets Palpy to his death
Vader: no......NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
(Damaged Breathing)
I know the new movie edits were kinda tarnished with the "No......nooooooooooooo" but I honestly feel that the "MY SON!!!" belongs there.
Felt exactly the same way. This scream belongs. A bellowing roar directed at Palpatine, a father protecting his son.
It's a bit late but I did a thing

I think the voice acting isn't bad, its just different to what we're used to. The dialogue itself is actually amazing tho
This dialouge is better than the entire sequel trilogy..
1:00 is canon, i dont care
This feels like what would happen if Star Wars was played in a theater like its Shakespeare , ridiculously over the top in the best way possible.
Star Wars is very Shakespearean already. It would translate well.
It was Darth Sidious who convinced the Trade Federation to orchestrate a blockade against his home planet of Naboo in an attempt to capture Queen Amidala, promoting two Jedi Knights to travel to said planet to deal with the situation, only to fail, leading Queen Amidala to seek out the Senate, leading to Chancelor Valorum's ousting and the election of a new Chancelor.
It was Darth Sidious, who swayed a disgruntled Jedi Master to leave the Order, join the Dark Side, and create the Confederacy of Independent Systems in an attempt to launch an intergalactic civil war between the CIS and the Republic, leading to the creation of a Clone army.
It was Darth Sidious, who chose to befriend and seduce a young Anakin Skywalker to betray his brothers in arms by promising to save his wife from death by turning him to the Dark Side.
Darth Sidious, the Terrible. Who at the height of his power sought to replace his apprentice with that of his son, never allowing himself to believe that said apprentice would turn on him in a desperate, last ditch effort to save his son.
Darth Sidious the Terrible, who forged the greatest Jedi killer in Galactic history and forgot to leave a place for himself. Who's pride never allowed him to think that he would overthrown by said apprentice.
You lost the game the moment you chose Anakin Skywalker as your apprentice, or better still, your slave. Apprenticeship in exchange for saving his wife, yes, and for that Anakin was eternally grateful, to murder his son, the last link to his beloved Padme? Never!
As you clouded the minds of the Jedi, Anakin, Padme, Dooku, Maul, and all of your pawns, your own arrogance clouded yours. Never once did you ever consider the bond between Vader and his son, the possibility that Vader may turn back to the light out of love and compassion for his family, whom he turned to the dark side to protect in the first place. You've been nothing more than an overly ambitious, highly insidious, egotistical despot waiting to be overthrown by those whom you oppressed.
Reflect back on even the past few years: Naboo, Geonosis, the CIS, Kamino, a clone army, Order 66, you think these designs would ensure an eternal rule over the galaxy, when in fact, all you built would be destroyed at the hands of a boy, just like your beloved Death Star.
Are you still with me, Sidious? Yes, I detect that you are. You few final words then: you should left Vader to die on Mustafar.
Rest easy in your grave Sidious. In the end, the Jedi will rise again, the Republic is reborn, and the Sith and all it stands for dies with you.
I understood that referance!
What reference is this
@@conorflynn6666 It references Sidious' murder of Darth Plagueis in the eponymous novel.
You forgot how Darth Sidious took the 501st, some of Anakin's closest friends and allies, and turned them into mindless puppets.
I see what you did here. Well done
This is breathtakingly wonderful. So simple a medium, but so passionate!
Palpatine:When I've slain this last jedi cast his body down the core shaft
Also Palpatine:falls down the core shaft
Imagine if James Earl Jones,Ian Mcdiarmid,Mark Hamil,Karrie Fisher, and Harison Ford voiced this radioplay that would be amazing

this was *leagues* better than the blu ray re release.
When all that happened. Where the hell were those Imperial Royal Guards at? It would of been awesome if they would have stormed in and fought Luke and Vader with one hand...

@@CraigMcGuinn they literally just walked behind the elevator

Darth Vader's master, but not ANAKIN SKYWALKER!!
Best line in any radio drama.
Why does luke sound like shaggy
NoOOoOoooO
The guy doing Luke's voice almost killed me with laughter lmao!!!
@Seph YESSSSS
In the 83 version along with the "NOOOO" they should have added the "MY SON" and the dialogue between Vader and Palps. Especially him saying "Darth Vader's Master but not Anakin Skywalker's"
Can we please get a new Special edition where Vader's "My Son!!!!" is added in replacing that "NOOOOO!!!" and the "Darth Vader's master, but not Anakin Skywalker's"
Vader's acting is pretty cool ngl

Palpatine did not see it coming. But he prepared for his eventual death by cloning although now we can say that Palpatine is gone for good. Although he should have ended at episode 6.
