About Me:
Hi, I'm Louise! I started this channel in 2010 after readers of my blog (called Sprinkle of Glitter) suggested I give UA-cam a try. I was instantly hooked and have found my happy place on here. I make videos about my day to day life, family travel or day trips, motherhood, plus size fashion and exciting work projects. Occasionally I have special guests too - friends, kittens or my sweet Daughters Darcy, 12 and Pearl, 6.
Outside of my online life I love crafts & small DIYs, all things Disney, programmes about bygone eras, shopping for lovely clothes that make me feel amazing and being at home with my fiance and children.
I've written 6 books so far (stocked in Waterstones, WHSmith, Amazon and all good supermarkets) and can't wait to start book 7!
We are currently planning our wedding, set for 2025 and I can't wait to start sharing bits of that with you!

I think the best solution for the dress would be to find a seamstress you love and just have her make it! You've never been a follower, you're a trend setter and a leader. Loved this video so much! I had a friend make my dress and I needed no help putting it on (except a little zip).
The thing I love about social media is that there's enough room for everyone, from the younger generation to the oldie but goldies, there's something for everyone. An important thing to remember is that we're all still learning, no matter our age. Do what you love and the right people will find you 💕 It's so lovely to see you back Louise x

I’ve been here for years and thanks for staying a real and humble person, even when social media shove negativity your way, you always rise above and preach love. (Never apologize for taking a break for Social Media! I recently took a 4 month break from all media because sometimes the negativity gets ya!!! Proud of you!!)
Love a Louise video! I've been watching since Darcy was younger than pearl is now and went from being a child watching a new mum to now being a mum watching where life has taken you and can I just say whatever is going on in life, your videos always make me feel homey. Thanks Louise!

Love the wedding notebook! I got a wedding planner book from Amazon when we were organising our wedding. It really helped to lower my stress levels - getting it out of my brain and on to the page!! Here for 2024 being the year of joy 🎉 x

Louise I just wanna say you are soo comforting there's not many people who can keep my attention the whole time (I have ADHD so this is a massive feat) but I've started working on healing myself recently and a joy year for 2024 sounds like something I wanna implement into my life too!! wishing u all the joy and best of luck with letting yourself feel fun and joy without guilt! (definitely something I have to work on too :P)
I had the exact same experience in a wedding dress boutique, went to a 'standard' shop and just couldn't imagine any of the dresses fitting me as they were all clipped etc. Went to a plus sized specialist shop and felt like a princess, definitely recommend finding a specialist shop! x
Louise!!! I tried on my first set of wedding dresses yesterday and I REALLY get where you’re coming from, especially as a fellow curvy queen. My actual bum hole was in the poor lady’s face… Prosecco helped, but so did finding a salon (I live so far away so can’t recommend mine) that stocked dresses that were bigger than my clothing size. It really helped! I wish you all the best and can understand exactly how you feel xxxx

Regarding the wedding dress shopping - I am offering this advice with so much love and care for you and I wish this helps even the slightest: I've seen (on tik Tok) wedding dress shops for plus sized women. The staff are so kind and adaptive. Maybe this would be an experience that would make you more comfortable? Sending you all my love. I hope your wedding journey/experience is everything you've ever dreamed of x

When you mentioned you wanted to talk a bit more on birth and birth experiences my first thought was “oh wow, is she looking into becoming a doula?” Looked up your Hello column bc I really wanted to know, and when I read that that is indeed what you’re thinking of doing, I actually choked up a little. I just think that’s amazing. I admire so much the way you take the things that are important to you and act on them in such important ways. (Also, I think you’d be an amazing doula. I’ve been thinking a LOT about my own possible children lately and maybe I’m biased since I’ve been following you for so long but you’re def the type of person I’d want nearby when I’m giving birth, seriously!)

Louise I had the exact same fear of wedding dress shopping, the store I went to sent me into a pure panic and I hated it!
I’d recommend ordering from monsoon bridal! Try loads on at home first. This will give you a better idea of what you want and a bit of confidence!

Hey Louise, oldie but goldie here!☺️✨ I completely get the wedding dress shopping experience feelings! I would highly recommend online shopping for wedding dresses too, I know it’s not quite the same experience but there are a fair amount of online shops that have gorgeous wedding dresses too, like Needle & Thread for example.

Hi Louise I’m just commenting on here as I’m unable to on tiktok. I watched your video of your craft desk tour and you were asking for hacks of how to get stickers off your plastic drawers. I recommend using a hair dryer to heat up the sticker as it heats up and melts the glue and then you can peel them off really easily. Then use a little bit of elbow grease or washing up liquid on a damp sponge to wipe away any sticky residue that should work well. I do this all the time when taking labels off presents for people and it works every time. I hope this helps

Wedding dresses: I saw a TikTok recently where someone had the same experiences as you in wedding dress shops and ended up getting her dress completely custom made. She worked with a dress maker and so her dress was exactly as she wanted and she knew it would fit whenever she tried it on because it was made to her measurements. Not sure how different it was in terms of cost but could be a good option to have a dress that you know you’ll love.
Vietnam (specifically Hoi An) is the best and cheapest place to get custom clothing made. I’ve seen some people get their wedding dresses done here. They are some of the best tailors in the world and have so many options!

Touching on the body image thing, I'm also a bigger girl with confidence in abundance but the thought of wedding dress shopping would render me catatonic lol I can't even go for a bra fitting it feels uber vulnerable!

Louise I 100% feel the same about wedding dresses!! HOWEVER!! ON 28TH Jan I visited a Wed2be shop in Bristol! And the experience was excellent! And I found my perfect dress so quickly!!
Woohoo glad your back 😁 I think re the wedding dresses try to take a few friends who are really positive and can lift you up. Friends with vision to see how it could look. Possibly buy a cute little shrug in whatever colour your dress may be just to use as a little vision to help your confidence when trying on dresses. Lastly I hope you really enjoy it, I'm plus and cried every time I had a dress fitting and I regret it to this day that I couldn't enjoy the process xxx
