- A walk up to Machrie Moor where the stone circles and standing stones can be found. A bitterly cold morning and howling gale made it almost impossible to record the audio.

Thanks for posting this Graham. Reminded me of the two occasions I've been there. The ancients weren't soft. They knew a view and where to build a monument, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Fortunately the sun was out on both occasions when I went. Excellent video.
The moss-covered stone at 5 mins 34 secs is quite impressive. Spent half a day there shortly after your visit! My third trip to Arran between 1956 and 2019. Wish I was back for a few more weeks! Great video.

Great stuff Graham. Shame about that weather! I expect that was a strong westerly beating its way in from the Atlantic, I thought your soundtrack was just right, and youre coming across loud and clear. Perhaps a few words on the stones might have made this perfect content. Obviously you have the professional photographer's attention to detail but I Want It All, Graham. You piqued my interest in the stones themselves but I had to go elsewhere to find out they were erected around 2000 BC, on the site of wooden henges going back to 3500BC, and excavations found individual burials in the centre of each, and the theory that they line up with distant notches in the hills at either midsummer or midwinter, the first being with the sun and the second the moon...you could have been telling us this, Graham! I hope you dont find it impudent of me to suggest you take a ganders at the channel of a man called Martin Zero, who's from Manchester. Although the focus of your energies flows in different directions, there's a certain complementarity about the two of you. Youre both thoughtful, considered, enthusiastic men with a love of the great British outdoors, and on that basis I can only see your channels going from strength to strength. More power to your elbow, mate!

Hey Graham this is quite random but I need some help. I have recently purchased a panasonic Lumix fz300 and have also purchased a Sony F-v420 microphone to record interview like scenarios with. When recording with this microphone the audio only comes from the left hand speaker upon playback. I have found the 'special mic' option and it is set to stereo and I believe setting it to mono input will solve my issue but the option is not accessible from the cameras settings. Could you please look into this because I have no idea how to fix this issue. Thank you!
