That’s all that matters because the curl typing chart is divisive and toxic. What matters most is if your hair likes a product or it doesn’t. 💖

It’s wild that people ask for honesty and then when you give it, try to tell you how to be honest 😂 black owned businesses are not immune from constructive criticism. I followed you cause of your honest reviews so please don’t change! ❤
Thank you so much for understanding!!!
@Faye In The City, what ShanG25 said 😊😉👍🏾🤗 love your honesty 👏🏾 ❤️
Absolutely 💯
True
Well said
It’s a shame that influencers have to give so many disclaimers before they can give their true experience.
It is! But if we don’t, we get TORE UP in the comments section!!!
@Faye In The City Baby Girl fuck that comment section. Good or bad somebody will always say something stupid.
Why she sound like Judy
@@Butterfly32464 and looks like her 🤔
@@Butterfly32464 I’ve never heard that before
I agree, the Black community (as a collective, not individuals of course) has a tendency to have very high standards for BO businesses. 1 mistake or mishap and we don't want to support them again. But we get abused, mistreated and exploited by white companies of all sizes with little pushback. At the minimum BO businesses deserve the same courtesy.
I agree
Sadly, there are folks, living in black communities, and leaving black communities. Africans benifit financially, by braiding hair, why?, Asian's provide, nail care, waxing, convience stores, and profit by far beauty supply stores. Brown skin folks, profit from alcohol, and lottery/gas stations etc. Yet, how many of these business people are, living, shopping, sending their children to schools within black communities? The list goes on. Far to many black neighborhood communities, REFUSE, to embrace, THEIR OWN, by uplifting/supporting financially. Rude, disrespectable, hood life, mentality, has become, a DISGRACE of the PROUD BLACK, men and women who risk their lives for OUR SAKE. WTF? It's about accountability!
Over exaggerating 🙄 black owned businesses can receive constructive criticism like every other business. Grow up everything ain’t about race, it’s just business
Black businesses are not and should not be exempt from honest reviews 😂 get a grip 🤦🏽♀️ you should appreciate the honesty
@Ashaki Gaden I think you and the other commenter misunderstood my point. I was agreeing with one of the points that Faye made. I agree, no one is exempt from constructive criticism. Maybe both of your experiences have been different. But I know many Black people (not all as I originally stated) will complain about everything (big and little) wrong with a BO business and then stop supporting it. But will go to Walmart, Target, McDonald's, Amazon, Macy's, etc but also complain about everything (big and little) AND still continue to support the businesses. My point is if you are going to operate that way with White owned businesses, give BO businesses the same blind support. No grip to get, no over exaggeration.
I'm so, SO glad you're giving a Black owned brand another chance! You are SO right when you say "other" brands will get pass after pass while a Black owned brand will be a "one and done"! I'm glad to see you checking them out again. 👍👍👍👍👍
💖💖💖💖💖
And I resent ANYONE who implies that you are trying to be "mean" or "messy" in your reviews! You are HONEST and FORTHRIGHT with your opinions. If they aren't used to it or can't handle it, WATCH SOMETHING ELSE!!
Do not purchase this product from Amazon, I ordered it twice and both times the detangler came busted up!
Listen if the products wasn't right they wasn't right. You can't cover up truth. .There is nothing messy or shady about that. Thank you for being honest
Thank you for understanding!!!!
I tried it also and I didn’t like it. I have natural hair. Mielle is the best product for our hair. Especially their curl formation products, awesome on natural hair..it give you natural curls.
Right ❤
Just because a product doesn't work for you that doesn't mean everyone is not going to like using it. Make your own choices and do the research for yourself
@G Anderson yeah TOTALLY agree... I'll continue to use Mielle
I wish companies would make a fragrance free line to accompany the already existing line. I can’t handle scents.
Walking around smelling like bubble gum and unicorns 😂😂
…your name is golden lol just had to say that!!
Lol
🤣💀 bubble gum and 🦄🤣
@@copiouscat Just saying like we are adults grown women stop with the smells already 😂😂
Okay well it sounds like to me you might have a smell free natural hair care line in the near future you may have a good idea.
Your honesty and openness is what made you a go to for many of us from your earliest days. There is neve a doubt about how you feel nor your integrity which is more precious than $$. For those who have been around since the Samantha days we know we can count on you for humor, honesty and bars!
Thank you so much!
I had tried the Kaleidoscope Brats braid spray and I really liked it it’s for protective styles it soothes my scalp and I would buy it again
The scents will always make me leave the products behind! The end results were everything 😍
Auntie Fay don't change for these people. Continue being honest. That's how you got your donations for being your genuine self.
I’ll never switch up on y’all. I promise you that!
Facts
I have to say i used the miracle drops and it definitely helped grow my hair. I use it after wash day. My hair is longer and thicker than it has ever been.
When it comes to my hair I will never believe in any of these hair products You are a better person than me great commentary
she should look at this video and be so happy that you gave a real review and her products have seemingly improved in her favor
You always put a smile on my face whenever you upload natural hair content
Thank you so much!
Kaleidoscope has been around in my town of NC for a few years way before Judy and Brat came into the picture at that time it was only the Kaleidoscope oil that cost $19 I used it for one year and It didn't do anything for me but made my pockets $200 lighter.
It took my hair out I don’t use that shit it took my hair out so bad I had To start using all natural products for my hair to grow back my hair grow back and I will never use their products no more
Judy releases product in 2014 so it definitely was her product she is the founder of Kaleidoscope drops
It was always Judy’s product.
Same for me… it didn’t do anything growth wise for my hair either. I’ve tried several times. But nothing.
The products have always been Judy’s. There’s never been another owner
Royal crown worked for me growing up as a kid, with natural hair. I washed it, braided it, and sometimes used rollers to have a curly look. Now, umpteen year's later I'm going back to embrace the freedom of having natural hair.
Yes I use royal crown, that is the business. Just beauty!
Me to and blue magic
Old skool Sulphur 8 grew my hair & edges back
@@michiganstate6947 I've been trying to tell my daughter's about it for years.
It hurt me so much when I tried the drops and it took my hair out causing bald spots because it is Black owned and I wanted to support it and as many of its products fully. However, the therapeutic shampoo and conditioner is great and will cure seborrheic dermatitis. Also the moisturizing shampoo and conditioner is excellent as well.
Did your hair grow back cause mine is taking forever 😢😢😢
The ingredients in those drops are horrible l, I couldn’t figure out why my scalp was irritating me badly, it was bc of that. Thinned my edges as well. They need to make their own handmade products instead of using these Chinese vendors that knows nothing about our hair!!
Drops are terrible
Happen too me also it literally looked like the drops was eating my scalp
My scalp had scabs from using the drops. I was disappointed
Faye!!!! You are so kind while giving your honest opinions. I don't care who created the products, I want your truth. Don't change! Keep it hilarious 😂😂 and 💯💯
Thank you so much!
Facts
I have been seeing these products and would not buy them because I want sure, and I do most definitely watch you before I buy. With 3 naturals in the house I have to be smart.. Thank you for your honesty !!
My daughter (8 years old) lost her hair and eyebrows due to a medical condition and the drops in the blue bottle really did grow her hair back.
That's great that her hair grew because my drops gave me a really bad headache
Biotin would work
@@sus-tw2ls work much better and cheaper. Just saying
Try mixing unflavored gelatin (like Knox) or collagen in tea or water. It really helps nails and hair and joints.
@Toya Toya you can make your own or dilute it. Rosemary is a great essential oil mixed with castor and rice oil. There is studies that show onion water helps hair grow( don't know if your boo wants to smell onions in bed overnight🤷🏿♀️). There are so many studies that practically tell us what to do in pubmed.🥰
i love that she speaks her truth. i’m so serious about my natural hair care journey. and i don’t try new products at all. i foundt what works for me finally and i stick to it. 🤷🏾♀️
Man... ppl be in they feelings about any and everything chile. If the products didn't work for you back then, they ain't work !
Glad to see that since then she put something out that works for you, hair came out cute and everything.
Thank you! I still won’t use the products from the initial video. But her new stuff is better
Faye said what she said.😅I truly appreciate your honesty, and being candid is not mean-spirited. Your integrity is what sets you apart from other content creators.
Thank you!
The final look is FABULOUS!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
FYI, I don't think you told us what the products cost.
I completely forgot to mention that! My bad!
The shampoo was $16, the conditioner was $17 and the styling foam was $15. I purchased everything at my local Walmart
The Truth Nothing But The Truth.... I'm glad you always keep it real 1000%.
Thank you!
You're beyond welcome. I truly respect your realness and honesty.
Love the hair and the review! Honesty is always valued/appreciated here. Your final results look like 💯% black girl magic as usual! SO,
Shine bright, shine far
Don't be shy, be a star
Where you live, where you are, be a star!🤩🤩🤩🤣
WE ARE FRIENDS!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you for that because I am a frequent user of kaleidoscope products. My hair is predominantly grey and I haven't found anything that won't harm my hair. So far the leave in conditioner/ detangle plus styling gel has worked for my hair. Also the edge control pomade is great for my edges. Again, thanks for the feedback.
Yall still support this company after reports of hair loss due to products being made with anti freeze for cars. Yall see famous and forget the bad business. Yall will learn
I’ve never once seen a report about anti-freeze. This is my first time hearing of this
@Faye In The City yes girl look it up and the bbb reports. They tested the products, and it has anti freeze in it which is why women were balding and experienced burning of the scalp
I don't believe in patronizing someone based on their race solely. It's about customer service, which includes their products. Not everything is a good fit for you. There's no shame in saying that. 😊
Thank you for your feedback!
👏🏽👏🏽
I spend my money where I want to. Sometimes black products ain't right.
I support great black business. With that being said I just tried the Miracle drops bundle it's pretty good being that I'm not Natural definitely moisturized and conditioned me.. I also used it on my children all Natural and it had their curls poppin. The oil is truly lightweight aka miracle drops so it's a thumbs up for us! The smell of coconut is not overpowering and I appreciate that!
I personally avoid phenoxyethanol w it being an endocrine disruptor. Same with BHT. It’s accepted in the US up to 1%, but if you have multiple products at 1%, it can quickly go over levels I’m personally not comfortable with. Both being banned in other parts of the world is telling too. I’ve been able to find really good products without it, which I’m glad about.
Hmmmm any really good products you found without it that you want to share?
@@OaklandMind Yes!
Sienna Naturals is the best shampoo & conditioner I’ve ever put on my hair. Insane hydration. The Dew Magic leave-in is also A+ as is the mousse. The curl refreshing spray is good but I hate the bottle it comes in. It’s Issa Rae’s line & was in Target & Nordstrom but I think only direct to consumer & in Nordstrom now. I’ve been using it for about 4 months.
Kreyòl Essence has a Haitian Moringa Coconut & Papaya line is free of phenoxyethanol (not every line of theirs is). I use the leave-in & the hair gel from that line.
Shea Moisture’s low-porosity grape seed leave-in detangler is really good & makes my curls very juicy. This brand is hit or miss depending on the item but I have a few more that are backups to Sienna Naturals & Kreyòle Essence.
I also *think* the line that she featured from the Netherlands is also free of phenoxyethanol bc it’s banned in the EU.
Hope this helps!
@@shorty63136if the Netherlands based brand is HH Cosmetics, they use optiphen as there preservative system which has Phenoxyethanol as one of the ingredients.
Your hair came out amazing it looks so.light and soft..❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
Faye, this is the reason I trust your reviews!
Thank you!
I absolutely love these products….. I wear twist outs and braids and I use everything!!!!! They work for me….. everyone scalp is different…..
This video took me back to my faye in the city roots cuz my first video with you was the kaleidoscope video lol. I always love your honesty from the first time i watched you and never change that girlie.....and that brief Samantha appearance lol
I'm so happy you showed this real video, with your real hair and real attitude 😅 since afro sheen when have we had a real black girl/guys styling product. I hope this product does well. Lord knows we coarse hair girls needed it...
I am very, very, very scent sensitive!!! Thank you for your honesty at all times!
Keep it real at all times. No shade in being honest.
I enjoy your content Entertaining and informative 😊🔥
Oh I remember that video, the miracle drops and the formaldehyde issue in particular! I’m anxious to see how you got the cute style you have in this part of the video.
I will never support a scammer. Black or not judy got millions off of scamming and her followers still stayed loyal. Smh black ppl
Exactly
Yep 💯
💯!!!
Redemption video 😊... Every company can change and grow!
Well that's ur opinion. I've been using it for a few years & it works just fine for me.
Even though I've been around since about three years ago I still appreciate the back story😉
Thank you for all of your support!!
I'm a die hard Kaleidoscope hair product buyer & it worked wonderful on my granddaughter hair & husband's beard
That's why is its called choice and I think we forget that in our lives. Thank you for your information and I I'm a individual who has sensitive skin.
I have sensitive skin as well....I also have seasonal allergies and this is why I don't purchase everyone's natural hair care products...some have way to much perfume and other's overdue it with many ingredients too. I just stick with the basic products that work for me and my hair.
@@nadine3734 yes ma'am I as well, I enjoy some of our 👑 products. Something for all Queens bosses!🙏🏽
I love that cranberry deep conditioner, it’s my favorite, I love the smell as well. I do agree that they need to make a hair mist with that same smell.
YASSSS to the Life-Size- where you live where you are be a starrrrr!!! lol a fav im a 90s born so yass and yasss to the video and hair
Yes I tried Kaleidoscopic about two years ago. It didn’t work for me only gave some crazy itchy scalp. I couldn’t scratch my scalp hard or fast enough. I’d still be hesitant about trying it again tho
Oh my gosh, I don’t try many products at all but wanted to support . Upon trying my scalp started itching like crazy as well, hence gave the bottle to my daughter (who liked it and did not have that itching issue) and never looked back!
Okay Judy !
Been stop using ALL her products!! Simply not worth it
Your hair looks great! Three product wash day? Yes please.
Thank you!
The shampoo really helped to define your curls. I like that.
The definition is NICE!! 😍😍😍😍😍
I was shocked!
Thanks for the honest review boo!!!
Y’all know Judy is a scammer
keep speaking your truth and I will listen
Thanks for being honest, too many youtubers change on their followers, and start doing things to get products, and that 's when I stop following!! I like when youtubers are honest, that's why I look at reviews, tell me the truth, not what THEY want to hear! Keep doing what you are doing!! GREAT JOB!!!
Girl, you favor & sound just like judy .I know u are not related to her, but u could be. I guess it's true that we all have someone who favors us. Good feedback on the products, thanks
Faye, u are one of the “real” ones and so happy that you Always keep it real! 🥰💙.. btw luv the results! 💙
She said I don’t take nothing back with emphasis😂😂
not "Life size" with Tyra banks song, love it!!!
Great review, I love your honesty!
Thank you for your honesty.
💖💖💖
“Be a star!!!”
The truth is like rain he doesn’t care who it falls on speak your truth
Thank you!
Black or another race, if your experience isn’t the greatest, you have the right to post your opinion. If you are a producer of a product, either learn from the reviews or ignore them.
Agreed
Thank you for telling YOUR TURE!!!!
Everyone has to realize all products black owned or not are not for everyone’s hair type. Might be for a lot but all you have to do is read the ingredients and choose products that work for you. If it doesn’t work always ok to give an opinion but move on to the next that may work.
Exactly!certain products for certain hair types and people will work!!
1. I had been wanting to try Kaleidoscope when they first came out.
2. I just found out that Judy is Judy and DaBrat. {I don't live under a rock y'all, I promise).
3. I just started watching the show.
4. Thanks for your review. Greatly appreciated!
Did #2 matter?
@@shinecam1 Ok so your tone is coming off a bit negative. If that is not your intentions, cool. So to clarify, I knew the brand was owned by a black woman. I knew never knew her name. I was somewhere recently and received information on the Kaleidoscope brand and owner. I recently started watching the show during this time I kept saying to myself this lady looks familiar. So long story short I just pieced it together. So I hope I didn't offend you in anyway. Have a great day!
1st of all,,,,,,,,(insert lip smack)!!!!!..... GIRL!!!!.....
Sooooooooold!!! 🥳🥳🎉 Wait until I take these braids down, imma go try this!!! We have the same hair type. I'm new to being natural and I've been looking for something to define curls and just be an overall good product!!! Definitely going to try this. JUDY!!!!! Here I come!! Thanks ma'am for your review and honest opinion!!!!!!!! I appreciate you!!!🤗
Horrible product
Thats an alcohol. The thing about perservatives is there is no way around using them and the more natural products you have in your formula sometimes the stronger the perseravtive has to be especially when that first ingredient is water, aqua, or anything hydro based.
Life Size lol I love that movie! I was over here singing it with you 😂
You could be Judy's cousin voice and everything.😂 Glad you liked the product.
It's alot of people that felt the same way about the products was not adding up and not helping hair grow.. the drops was breaking alot of people hair off and the milk was making people hair dry .. that's why her products was on clearance and still couldn't sale . So I haven't tried 2nd time around
Thank you for your honesty. I have wasted a lot of money on hair products, some of the youtube videos are so misleading _ this really helped
The original kailscope miracle drops made my scalp itch so bad
My did too plus it had yellow stuff n there and u would have thought I had a perm and it hurt my scalp. I thought I was the only one
My natural when I use the drops no shade just facts
You are not alone… i had just put fresh crochet in and put that oil in the next morning one time and I itched like crazy.. I thought I needed to maybe oil my scalp with my reg hair grease but it didn’t work.. but eventually i had to take my braids out
It made my scalp smoke. Like smoke was really coming out from my scalp. I trashed it real fast
@@MizzzJazzzyJazzz yes I was thinking it was the crochet hair, l took the hair out and continued to use the drops, it got worse.
@@MizzzJazzzyJazzz no good at all she probably been rushing on the product and we probably got the bad end of it. But naw I tried another bottle for the 3rd time same results
it didn't work for me either 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Great share, I love your personality and your hair is gorgeous! You could definitely model eyeware, you look exactly like one of my friends. Gorgeous!!!
Girl your energy... love it!!!
Hi, the new shampoo review, made your hair look really nice.
Somebody made this comment and I didn't buy her products. The statement was if Brat edges are still gone then its not worth it.
😂😂😂😂👏👏👏👏 no seriously I tried it is trash
I love your honest and through reviews. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Faye! I’ve been rocking with you for years now and thank you so much for always giving an honest review of anything you feature. I’m not quite sure why people have a problem with you not liking kaleidoscope originally and making some very honest statements in regards to it. Strong scents, harmful chemicals and false statements on the packaging is a NO, NO. I don’t care if the makers and owners of the product are black or not. No one should make money off of us with false claims. I will not be trying kaleidoscope simply because I am super sensitive to smells and have serious allergies so thank you again for the honest review. Stay blessed.
💖💖💖
I like the way the styling foam did your hear. Personally I have fragrances in anything that has to do with beauty except perfumes lotions sprays etc. It's just not necessary. Your hair texture curl pattern is bomb. I have long loose waves that grew a lot during pandemic not sure what to do with it.
New sub ✅ . Now this is the type of reviews I live for. Real raw , transparent . No throwing shade just giving your honest opinion.
What's crazy is YOU LOOK LIKE JUDY!!! 😂😂😂 You look like u could definitely be her sister & even sound like her!! 🤔😜 Great review sis!! 💯😍
I feel like it's not worth the price..I gave it a try..Don't believe the Hype.😊
Exactly
One of her oils made someone I know hair fall out, smh - ....
I remember that video! Your experience with the original product line was not in isolation. At that time, I didn't see too many positive videos.
Girllllll you look like Judy😂😂😂😂
I was scrolling and then all the sudden I saw your video and I heard that you was talking about kaleidoscope and I just instantly stopped because I recently cut my hair off but it's not all the way off and I've been thinking about trying that but I'ma keep watching the video and then see what I should do then cuz I want it to grow back long and strong and all that jazz
I’ve used Judy’s products years ago and they just didn’t work. I can honest say I’ve been scared to purchase her products every since.
I tried kaleidoscope products and they are not for me.
And I totally get that
I bought that ish for my daughters YEARS ago when she was having a grand revealing of her products at the Target in camp creek!! I was like why does this product seem like dollar store product🥴
And I DEFINITELY could have Made a better and SAFER product that what I spent $16 a bottle for…. 😒
You Judy cuzn, 😂😂😂{ yall have some face features 😊😊
Gorgeous! You making me want that mousse!
Thank you!
We appreciate you telling the truth. We shouldn't have to down play our experience just bc it's a black owned business. Great that you gave the brand another try.
Great video Faye!! I purchased the styling foam, but ended up taking it back. My daughter said it didn’t get good reviews. Your hair looks good, so I may visit it again and try for myself. You’re so hilarious girl. Keep speaking honesty. I appreciate it.
Thank you! And your profile picture is beautiful!
Faye I swear you look younger in every video!! You were always beautiful mind you, but I don't know, you have a very youthful look to you lately. That baby did you good!
