Based on this demo, i would say super nylgut are better for struming. The frequencies on each strings is not 'blending' (or bumping?) one to another, but when it came to fingerpicking super nylgut feels more tighter than regular. I'm not a fan of both Nylgut though but the new super nylgut guess worth to try.
I have a brand new Kala Ziricote baritone and the super nylgut strings are terrific. I liked this demonstration because I could hear the difference. Very interesting.
Good to know. Looking forward to receiving my Kala tenor, SMHT. It comes with the Aquila super nylgut strings. I am a beginner player, and used to the Aquila nylgut strings on my concert Lohanu.
it's kinda hard to tell the difference. one sounds a little closer to the microphone...or 'it's louder' as other's say..sounds like they are both a good choice.
My rockjam came with these strings, may throw the spares out because it's just like here ya go, figure it out on your own, because they don't come with number tags, or color ends, (actually im curious how daddario does their uke strings bc guitar and Mando use colored beads and loops, uke doesn't have any of them)
No one seems sympathetic towards bass Ukuleles. Mine is a big 21" bass piezo acoustic. I just dont have strings for it. I know no one to ask and youtube presenters dont answer me here. I just wanna know what will fit my 21 inch bass 21" with a bit to spare for through bridge and tuning pegs? It's all new to me with Uke's! Thanks
From this video, super sounds more rich and focus then the normal new. Hope that this is not due to the different of ukulele use. Anyway, I just bought super online and looking forward to the try
Knowing the ukulele in the video, if that's what is being used, I'm not sure that it's ultimately the best test. It's a pretty instrument, with nice visual detail, but entirely laminated model. It has sweet tone, but limited in dynamics and doesn't have the most extended decay. They were expensive compared with other ukes on the market given that solid ukes can be purchased for the same price.
I have a laminated booted concert uke and after playing it quite a lot for a year or so..it has opened up and sounds better than some of my 'solid' wood ukes..esp when strummed firmly (has a nice woody sound with very good volume and decay ) highly recommended

+schpoingle I was in exactly the same position for everything.
Good comparison. Thank you!
Enjoyed your playing. To my poorly trained musical ear I thought the super nylgut sounded a bit louder.
Sounds to me like the lows are fuller with the regular nyguts
PhilUSAFRet Agreed, the super sounds too close to metal string.
PhilUSAFRet yes lows are nicer deeper with regulars, but the mids are nicer and deeper with super nylguts
Super Nylguts seem to be the standard strings for banjo ukes for many.
Very nice to listen to you. Lovely sound.

Thank you Ingrid!
I was wondering what song was the first tune that you played, or was it just made up? I feel like I have heard it before and I really like it! Thanks!

+ziggy bass Try Aquila 91U. Those are ukulele bass strings, tuned to E A D G.
thanks for this. I put a set on my Martin tenor, jury still out. I have not has good luck with the reds. nice playing btw.
Thanks Andy - I've done a Savarez and Aquila ukulele string comparison too - and I have to say I'm favouring the Savarez
What is the density of the super nylgut string?

I have the new nylgut on my uku bass... Looking forward to upgrading to the super but not in a rush tho
The Super has a more pleasing sound.
I used earphones to try and hear the difference and the Super Nylgut sounds brighter and more "Detailed"
I honestly don't hear much of a difference in ukulele strings I just like the feel of the sugars and even better they are biodegradable
Regular for fullness, Super for definition.
or all those low Gstrings?
inside the packet has 3 metal and 3 nylon strings, which one is the low g-string?
You are thinking guitar strings - the G will be the thickest of the nylon strings.
its ok, I already haved them fixed in G and its a ukelele
Is there a way I can find the little rifts you played?
+Dodge “RodgerDodger97” Wasinger Sorry - most were just made up!
Kanilea Mahalo Mike votes for the Super Nylgut!
cant tell the diff maybe easier to play
Yes thank you Ingrid !
you notice he only replied to a swedish women, it's all about the sponcership!

Aaaargh auto correct..meant bocote
Prefiro a New Nylgut ou Daddario Clear Nylon. São mais confortáveis para os dedos
The super is brighter...I prefer the regular one.
