Thank you. After scrambling on my back in agony like a squirming cockroach, I had to summon my hubby to haul me out of bed. Since then, I’ve been sleeping propped up on a wrought iron day bed. I’m able to use the iron framework as grab bars, which really helps. Cushions are a must! Once again, thank you for your tips. Rib pain is far worse than childbirth.😮😊😅
I’ve found the upright on pillows as you demonstrate to be much better. At first, I thought I needed to sleep on my back - it was agony to lean back to flat on my back. Now, I lean sideways into stacked pillows - the pain is minimal that way. However, I always wake up after 2-3 hours & I have a lot of trouble getting back to sleep.
Yeah that’s the tough part. Trying to stay asleep in that position for more than a few hours. The hope is that as the pain and natural course of recovery continues to occur, that it becomes a bit more manageable as each day passes. Hang in there. Hoping for a healthy recovery. -Aleks
Thank you so much. I have not slept more than a few hours at night since I fractured 3 ribs 2weeks or so ago. I am using these ideas and hope this will help...I have never had this amount if pain not even with my open heart surg
Well after about a four foot fall onto concert, didnt get imaging , but pretty sure i did some good damage. . . The cushioning i feel was painful, firmness was better. . . Im found sleeping in my car was the most comfortable. Electric seats raise up and down. Have the hand grip and steering wheel to help get up. And seat is adjustable. Seats firm not soft. . .
Hello, thanks for sharing. Yes having the ability to have assistance with sitting to standing can help quite a bit. Similar to a recliner chair but those are some effective additional benefits. Hang in there! Hoping for a speedy recovery. Keep me posted on progress! -Aleks
I cannot sleep on my back for long I reckon I snore, and wake myself up . I just cannot get comfy , its so frustrating when you sleep on your right side normally, and the pain is on that side.
I know. The sleep is the most challenging. Play around with pillow positioning to see if that helps. Small tweaks/adjustments generally can make a difference. But it also is quite person-specific. Hang in there n -Aleks

Thanks for sharing. I am not sure what you mean by bula? Do you bruise or bump? Glad you are hanging in there and you decided to get it checked out. Cheers, Aleks
