This is definitely a conversation with his younger self. This had nothing to do with his daughter. His struggle is still very real for him. 🙏

Expecting a daughter soon. Glad this is still true 5 years later. Just because you obtain a piece of paper saying you did something, doesn't mean you are exceptional or cooperative. That is the difference.

What did I miss? I was really hoping to hear a father and daughter experience or something. Something!!! 🤦🏾‍♂️

Some great advice to his child. Show up! Network! The world is definitely changing. It's time for dads to step up the the challenge!

he is insecure, its not about who you know @ 11:23 its about who you are as a human, developing character which comes with practicing, discipline (developing skills) and self motivation. I have a 14 year old daughter, I've learned a lot from her life. its not about money its about love spending time, living a loving and disciplined life your kids can follow, its not easy when you have to correct with punishments, it breaks my heart but, it is necessary and curtail in a Childs life, the west has it all wrong, correct with fear of the future for your children, not anger, correct firmly at times. Sing, dance, COOK, movies, have a great time too, life is not only about jobs and money, learn to have fun through the most diffucult times, you'll be successful in your own eyes... My advice to all fathers is just this, you are far from perfect, be loving and patient assholes (This includes me as well) 😊❤ @ 1:17 I feel sorry for her, she has a lot of tension left side of her face, I hope she gets the emotional support she needs.

Sound advice. This is the best advice a dad could give his child to ready herself for a challenging future.

What a waste of a fathers chance in a lifetime to give advice to his daughter. After 7 mins of his 14 min talk, during which he produces unemployment numbers and talks about workplace issues , I have yet to hear anything that relates to a father and a daughter. He squandered his opportunity and filled his time with crap.

Liv The Wildcard all he did was he talked about talking about giving advice

I thought his advice was pretty invaluable actually. He spoke about concepts of social injustice and economic decline as factual reality. He spoke about the ever changing way in which we communicate: again a factual reality. But brushing aside the modern day whirlwind the two ingredients for a successful and happy life are: move like you have a purpose (show up) and people are all important: both economically, physically, emotionally, spiritually... Five neighbours to the right - five neighbours to the left.

The talk of a lifetime?! Seriously?.. The profound life insight that he feels is imperative his daughter know is how to get a job?!! What a waste of time. 🤦‍♂️

I'm don't understand his speech. how is this helping his daughter? there is somethings he could have talk about with his daughter to prepare her for the future. out of a scale of 1- 10. this speech would have received a 1. go back and rethink about this important talk. you really blow it. my advice to him is to pray and ask God for the very words to say to his daughter.🤔

Maybe the title is off in your view, but his speech makes a valid point!

The most important thing to teach your daughter is to fight. I mean fight for her life. Or run the risk I did, and loose her.

After eating corn on the cob, clearly he just grabbed a disk from work and clicked through his powerpoint slides on stage while he rambled on about what he's educated on: Economics.

Get to know your neighbors - that’s the best you can come up with? Brand new father of a little girl (disappointed).

Read or listen to the book “be the dad she needs you to be” I have listened to the audible version more than once. It is the best book I have ever read.

So... he has the world we live in pegged, and shared some good things, but certainly not great lifetime advice for your daughter, well... at least it wouldn’t be the advice I’d give my daughter.
