The answer to this question is simple, DC is building its future and Marvel is stuck living in the past, DC is focused on trying to create its new universe with quality projects, Marvel just wants to make easy money with nostalgia by sacrificing its universe and its future for this, marvel's greatest villain will have his history and potential completely wasted to be a variant of tony stark, in the long run all this nostalgia will take its toll, the hope of having good comic book films is all in DC.

Personally, I really don't care if Marvel movies and DC movies end up switching places in terms of who's more successful. I get that comic book geeks want to live in a perfect world where both sides are equally balanced with both great thought out storylines but we already have that in other stuff either in comic book or animated form. The past decade and a half has pretty much proven that you can't do a lot in film in terms of wanting to tell the story you want to tell. Hollywood corporations are just too competitive and complicated to negotiate with. It's why for a while, the MCU in the 2010s was on top while the DCEU struggled because WB back then had a different structure that refused to change. And also that Disney and WB are lifelong rival companies and especially in the 2010s, it was always an uphill battle of Disney being more financially well off than WB. Sure, Disney Marvel back then also had their limitations of what they can and cannot use in their movies but at least they had a well thought out plan of how to execute their ideas with the things they could use which is something the DCEU didn't, regarding that they own everything and didn't go full out with the characters they could've and should've used. But now that things are different in the 2020s, I can really see it being possible that now DC can finally take over and try again at doing a much better story. I think it's about time that kind of change should happen because we've already had a decade of one company being better than the other and perhaps things should turn around. I know some people may not like that reality but what else can I say. Spider-Man No Way Home to me was the true end of the Infinity saga as it finally wrapped up Spider-Man's arc from that storyline and while I'm not like everyone who likes to bash on phase 4, I have to admit that there has been a noticeable drop lately with Marvel and if DC has a new batch of superhero content coming my way with a whole new vision being teased, then I'm just going to graduate to that. But let's be real, with video game movies such as Sonic 3 and Minecraft picking up, I know along with some other people they want to see something else take over or rival the superhero genre. When more and more movies with recognizable video game IPs get green lit, I know that my stay in the new DCU won't be a long one. Just sayin'
