Yeah, they lean too heavy on the goofy, but it’s honestly refreshing to see media outside the comics remember that Venom has a goofy goopy side to his character…or that remember the symbiote is a character in his own right. For all their short comings, the Sony movies are still the best adaptation of the character to date, outside of the N64 Spider-Man game.

Thus, he considers willpower is not enough to save the universe. He was also Hal Jordan's mentor and friend before he betrayed the GL Corps to form the Sinestro Corps, and the two of them have a really interesting dynamic as they are both so similar but have different beliefs when it comes to overcoming your fears. Personally, my favourite supervillain is Reverse Flash, solely for how much of a petty, diabolical psychopath he is and how far his hatred for the Flash is. However, some other villains Im a big fan of are Doctor Doom, Lex Luthor, Magneto, Green Goblin etc...

He peaked in JLU when he was both super smart and had wisdom but had a huge ego which restricted him to villainy and hunger for power. That's just a fun mix.
