Jamie in the house 🎉 She got a good amount of stuff I'm surprised and she also stayed in budget thanks to Jojo 😮 Is it possible for Jamie to do another video but non vegan products to show how she would possibly try to stay in budget for Aiden. For a second I thought Bob was Jojo as well. Jojo suits the highlights 👌 so much. Again fantastic job 👏 👍
Aldi here in the states has raised their prices (even though they are the cheapest supermarket too here in the states), but they are getting expensive because of their sister store, Trader Joe's. Trader Joe's is like an organic grocery store with a palate for veganism and its not that bad in price either.
I shop for 50% of my groceries, maybe more, at Aldi. Their deals, especially on fruits and veggies I find really good. Before I was going to TJs too much, had to bring the meditation book "30 Days to Stop Being a Shopaholic" by Harper Daniels every time I went to TJs 🤣
Aldi and Lidl are probably the best places to go for budgeting haha! Although the snacks that are specifically available in the shops, they throw me off😅 you can’t leave them! 😂
I live in the United States and we actually just moved to a different state from where we were living. Some grocery items are much cheaper (we are not vegan so milk for example is half the cost now than what we were paying). However I can agree that in the UK your grocery prices are incredible compared to ours. A head of lettuce from aldi near me is $2.09 which is around £1.69. We also don’t have as many vegan options in the freezer section. I wouldn’t mind having veggie fingers or some sort of plant based nugget instead especially for my toddler who fussed about eating vegetables. Unfortunately the stores here that do carry some of those products charge too much. I can’t justify paying $5-8 for 2-3 servings of plant based nuggets when I can pay $6-7 for 7-8 servings and unfortunately nuggets and peanut butter sandwiches are staples in our house due to sensory issues around food for my toddler. He has issues with rice and pasta.
Hey guys, I was in Aldi today and I spent £60 I was so shocked! A lot of things have gone up! I love herons and farm foods even Iceland has gone up! It’s crazy that’s a lot of food for £29.81 well done Jojo on the mathematics I would of gone way over budget love you guys! ❤❤
Amazing video! ❤ It seems there’s quite a lot of vegan options at Aldi! In Greece the prices are ridiculous for a country which average salary is only around 1000€/month. Especially for vegan food. The cheapest unsweetened soy milk costs 2,50€/l.. today I also bought lettuce, which cost 2,65€ 😶
I am in the US and I am always AMAZED at the low prices for FOOD items in the UK. HOWEVER I do think that maybe your energy costs are more than ours. Then again I am in the Nevada desert where temps can easily reach 118 F in the summers and our power bills are approximately $400
Very true our power bills went up a lot last year, luckily they are going down a bit now 😕 We hope the cost of living goes back down again over there 🤞🇺🇲
Thank you for thinking of us in Australia where food prices are ridiculously high (and going up every week!) Our Aldi stores are very small and they have hardly any vegan food. Our soy milk is nearly $3 a carton, vegan "bacon" is around $7 and last week I paid around $3 for a capsicum (I think you call them peppers.) If our food prices were as good as yours, I could afford a nice holiday with the savings! Thanks for an interesting shopping trip.
They have a video for that from just a couple months ago... go to their page and take a scroll. A lot of price comparison and shopping budget videos as of late... worth the look.
@christiesmith978 I watch all their videos and I don't recall them doing a £30 weekly shop in aldi. The price comparison shop with aldi and costo is a different video as its just random items not a weekly shop for £30.. thanks for trying to help though
Loved this video....Great shop. What an amazing personality JoJo has for his age. He will seriously go far in whatever he chooses to do (Reminds me of Harry Styles). Your videos give me such inspiration xx
Live not live from Scotland. It's a fantastic day when Family Freedom upload a new video. I can't understand how Aldi can be the cheapest supermarket because according to Which the discount supermarkets have increased their prices more than the other supermarkets. I even went to Aldi and couldn't find Courgettes and yet on the same day I found Courgettes in Lidl so I would rather pay extra going to a store that has everything that I need rather than having to go to another shop for what I can't get out of Aldi. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Jamie, 💞Katie, ❤JoJo and 🧡Bob.
Hey David, thanks for your lovely comment and thank you for the information about supermarket prices. We hope you are well and still having some nice weather in Scotland like we are down here in London. Sending all our love 💚👋🏴🤗
Wow how different from the costs in the USA! We spend $400 a week on groceries, not including my baby and toddler formula... maybe because my 3 boys have food allergies but sometimes we even go mid week for supplies!... even canned food is expensive here! When you said you buy the milk for your granddaughter just made me think how much moms do for us! My mom has helped me all my life and now that I'm married she still supports me on every aspect... my boys had never been without a thing because of her and I know she doesn't have the money for it! My teen has been sick and right away she sent me extra vitamins for him ❤! Just thank you to our moms...
Hey, thanks for your comment. Yes, we've been finding out lots from you USA FreeGang about the substantial difference in groceries prices compared to the UK! 😊 That's so lovely to hear about the support your mom gives you with your children. We did our best to support Jamie with Astrid, and will do the same for any kids Sam and JoJo may have. We didn't get much support from our parents so it's important to us that our kids have as much as possible! 😃
Great vlog! Me and my family use Aldi a lot as it’s good prices for decent food, especially do things like mock meats The No - Chicken skewers are really good. They used to have a chicken / beef roasting joint but I haven’t been able to see it in my local stores… Jamie not being impressed not being in the Aldi challenge, bless, maybe the next one should be Jamie vs JoJo, I miss those v’s challenges videos #freegang #livebutnotlive #freedomfamily 💚💚
Sainsburys challenge! Also I can really relate to jamie. My son started nursery at the start of September and it was harder for me 😅 I was really worried about him going and being looked after by other people but he is thriving and he loves it.
Well done Jamie, it's not easy staying in budget. You got a lot of great items though and you had your accountant following you around 🤑 lol great job Jojo. The US prices are ridiculous. It has been expensive purchasing fruits etc. this summer.
Hey Karen, thanks for commenting 😊 We're sorry to hear about the prices over there. There have been increases in the UK but it sounds like nothing compared to what it has got like in the USA. We hope it gets better soon 💚🇺🇸
Still so, super eye opening! Awesome to see this from Jamie's perspective! Cucumbers here are about $7 at the moment... we've just hit spring, so maybe they'll come down? Looking forward to moving over there (3 weeks!) and getting cheaper groceries 🤞

This video is 3monthd old ,just seeing it asI am fairly new to your channel, your right about our food prices here in America it is ridiculous and keeps getting higher.Something has to change people can't barely afford to eat.
Family Freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jamie!!!!!!!!!! FreeGang! Yay!!! Commenting to you #LIVEbutNOTLIVE from South Carolina, USA (East Coast). Yay, a video with Jamie, this is grand. Keep'em coming, #FreeFam we need that video count to #JustKeepRising. You guys seem like you would be cooler than ice. Maybe set up a 'LIVE Tea Time' and we can all grab a beverage and snack & have a chat. "Food" for thought, lol. Remember, FreeGang, Smash that LIKE button so that we can continue to receive great videos like this one. Support = kindness. Trust me, here in America, even with Lidl and Aldi it is extremely hard to spend less than $75.00 JUST for essentials for a family of 3! It is getting brutal and greedy over here. Milk is close to $4 per gallon. It is crazy and out of hand. The other day it was $0.75 per lemon for example. It is nothing to fill a cart and have to shell out $200 at the register. God bless us all. Minimum wage in my state is still $7.25/hour & our government does not care.
Hey Christie! It's lovely to read another beautiful comment full of such amazing energy!! We appreciate your words of support and encouragement to the community, it means so much! 🙏💚 Yes we've heard so much from the USA FreeGang about the difference in prices there, it's crazy how expensive some things can be and we hope things balance out there. Sending you all our love! 💚🇺🇸😊
Your alls Aldi is definitely different than ours I live just around the corner of mine Aldi and the Aldi warehouse is right next to it here in greenwood In usa
I can confirm yes you can spend 30 pounds in Aldi. I have done it many times in Aldi Australia spending $30 on groceries it can be done. down where I live in Sydney, Australia the Aldi stores near me are extremely helpful making sure households have what they need to survive. if you tell then you only have $20 budget they do reach out to give you a hand.
Hey, thanks for sharing! 😊 It's really interesting to hear that about Aldi there, especially as we've heard lots from viewers about the general supermarket prices being higher in Australia compared to the UK, so it seems Aldi is the place to go 👍 That's great too that they help out if your budget is lower 😊
Hi family freedom, hope you are well and having a good day! My mum said to say thanks for saying about the aldi plant range she really likes the vegetable fingers! Jamie still wants to be involved in challenges, which is great! I've lost track on all the shops you have been to and done the challenge 😂 Great video! Have a good day:) Just keep rising 💚🌿🌻
Hey Lana, hope you're well and having a good day too 🤗 Your lovely Mun is very welcome, glad she enjoyed the veggie fingers! Yes It's nice that Jamie wants to be involved every now and then. @@FamilyFreedom no reason! Those 2 chains just released their annual profit and they made 1.1 billion (higher than any other year) they’ve also admitted that they’re marking up prices by up to 400%! Thank you💚
I’m honestly shocked at how much Jamie got for £30! I think I would have swapped the bread for potato waffles though because they last better than bread and go yummy with beans 👀❤️
I have a 4L bottle of ketchup 😂 😳 wish I could use the excuse that i got it for my birthday sunday but sadly it was my amazon prime day buy 😂 maybe u should do a £30 weekly shop with amazon. 😂😂
Good question :) It was exactly the same thing for us 10:years ago 💚 We watched Gary Yourofsky's speech and said we'll start running down the animals products we have in our kitchen and won't buy any more, soon after we watched the movie Earthlings, which shocked us so much we threw every animal product out and haven't touched one since 💚
This week we had a family day out to chatsworth house. I dressed up a little bit and felt really nice. I had my sunglasses on my head and had a denim jacket on. I said to my partner "who am I channelling today?". He guessed straight away and said "Katie from family freedom". ❤❤❤
Yes in Australia lettuce is priced between $5-7 for 1 and tomatoes are $4kg and tomatoes are $7-8 for a bag can't believe you guys can get all that for 30 pounds in Australia we will be lucky to get half that fro that price
We spend $60 USD & we don't even get a 4th of what Jamie got. We shop Aldi a lot. Bc here Aldi is cheapest here in USA. Most expensive buys here are fruits & veggies. So odd. 30pds there comes to just over $37 uds. So defiantly double but it depends what we can find as well bc stores here are still having storages on stuff. So ee could triple budget one wk or do without.
Hey FreeGang! Check out when we bought EVERY VEGAN PRODUCT from ALDI!!! 😮 ua-cam.com/video/DrhNAqZrD8E/v-deo.html
You know when it's going to be a good day when they post ❤

The food prices in California seem to be at least 40% higher than what Aldi's UK is charging. Everything seems like an incredible bargain to me!

@@FamilyFreedom most brands ones are gluten free ❤️🙌🏻 Harrison loves the Aldi ones! 😊
I’m in Australia and our veggies are 3-4 x that price or even more 😭
That's not good 😔 We hope the prices of food start going down again 🤞
FIRST..
You should do all the £30 a week challenges again but for a month to see if you can stay under 120 for the month
That's a really good idea 💡 Thank you 😊
Hi
Hi Sophie 👋 🤗
I have a 4L bottle of ketchup 😂 😳 wish I could use the excuse that i got it for my birthday sunday but sadly it was my amazon prime day buy 😂 maybe u should do a £30 weekly shop with amazon. 😂😂
That's a good idea Abbie. We did one in the Amazon Fresh store but not online 😊
second
I be interested in if u can get 30 pounds budget with someone not vegan love all ur videos from kelly from uk
£40
I think you went to then same Aldi I go to 😮
Just out of interest if you don’t mind, what made you go vegan? For us it was a speech by Gary Yourofsky ❤️
Good question :) It was exactly the same thing for us 10:years ago 💚
We watched Gary Yourofsky's speech and said we'll start running down the animals products we have in our kitchen and won't buy any more, soon after we watched the movie Earthlings, which shocked us so much we threw every animal product out and haven't touched one since 💚
This week we had a family day out to chatsworth house. I dressed up a little bit and felt really nice. I had my sunglasses on my head and had a denim jacket on. I said to my partner "who am I channelling today?". He guessed straight away and said "Katie from family freedom". ❤❤❤
This is one of our favourite comments ever Lindsay 💚💚💚 You have really made us smile 😊
@@FamilyFreedom wow. Amazing. ❤❤❤
Katie is really beautiful
Aw thank you 💚

Happy birthday Eva song you tube song please please please hi
Yes in Australia lettuce is priced between $5-7 for 1 and tomatoes are $4kg and tomatoes are $7-8 for a bag can't believe you guys can get all that for 30 pounds in Australia we will be lucky to get half that fro that price
I WOULD LET JOJO HAVE £100 AND SEE IF HE HAS CONFIDENCE IN SHOPPING ON HIS OWN WITH NO ADULT AROUND HIM AND HE CAN GET ALL VEGAN FOODS ETC
Cant believe how cheap your groceries are !!. Our prices are at least triple what you pay
We have heard the same thing from so many different countries 😔 Food should be a fair price everywhere!
