It was the right thing for you to do. I have an older neighbor who is a widow, with 2 minature horses, that have an outdoor yard. I spent 4 hours a couple weekends ago shoveling out the yard, it was back breaking, and smelled terrible. Hadn't been done in almost 2 years. I just did it, she didn't ask, it just needed to be done, and she wanted to pay me, but I wouldn't accept it. It was just the right thing to do.
I worked at an off-road park in East Tx & one of our dozers was a somewhere in the 80’s model John Deere 450 long track with a forestry firebreak plow on the back, That was the best little dozer & fun to operate. It did what we needed it to do plus some! Great Video Guys 👍🏻👍🏻
Just a suggestion for starting dead equipment..i manage a truck and equipment repair shop in Pennsylvania and we get some pretty cold weather in the winter months and quite frequently my phones rings early early Monday mornings with dead battery issues and juumper cables just dont always work, nor do i have the patience at 3 am for a battery to charge so i got 2 20ft sections of 1/0 welding cable with quick connects on one end and 3/8 lugs on the other. Go direct on the truck and just pop my hood a hook the welder quick connnects up. Works like a charm.
The 450 was a awesome machine. Easy to work on. Hank 10000 comedians out of work and here you are trying to be one. Keep it up you have some good ones.
I drove a John Deere 450 like that for logging and other construction. They're good tractors. They were simple operating in the later sixties models. Just as easy as today. They were very dependable.
Loved this episode and if I'm not mistaken the second mark is 2 degrees past TDC though I'm not sure why they would have it unless it was for a different form of ignition.
Howboutcha! lot of times you can take a look at the wear in the pedals and on the controls and get a pretty good idea if its 500 or 10000 hours ! Also once you get it going the slop in the blade pins will tell you a lot about the hours as well . The older jd dozers were darn good machines thats why there are still so many around and in use still !!!
Hello friends, a pleasure to greet you, my name is Oscar Tolomei, a faithful follower of your channel and passionate about tracked vehicles, I am from Argentina, the city of Gualeguaychú, greetings and keep going, what you do is great.
With my past experience, 1978 to 1982, Pluse 1 year and 1/3 2006, sight glasses where use In rock crushing ! Hard to up grade! Easy maintenance! Even though rocks flying everywhere on the pieces of the machine! Had it been any other way, the sight glasses would disappear!
With the service truck you should add 2 large 12 volt batteries in one of the doors. And a permently installed set of jumper cables made out of 0ga power wire you can also put in 2 100mfd capasitors for a bump boost of power. This system can be wired into the trucks charging system or a 200 amp altonator decated to the booster batteries with a quice disconet at the supply batteries for the cables and a set of large clamps this way you dont need to put batteries in the machine to start it just hook up your jumper system That you can run 12 volt or 24 volts no jump boxes needed. The cables could be 26 feet long that should work most of the time. No jacking with moving batteries around just clamp onto the wires and go.
Great video hank and whiley you both look that you are enjoying your self's glad it started went good the jokes are good to see you both on next adventure god bless you guys
Another JD fires up no issues, well once you all got some proper juice to the starter anyways. Hard to beat those JD's no doubt. Always enjoy and very entertaining as usual.
Need to grease those tracks before you slip the loose one off. Great old machine, whoever buys it will be lucky. With a little TLC this thing will be grading dirt and breaking new trails in no time. Great work fellas, but for the love of god, get yourselves a nice set jumper connectors.
When you are from Michigan's UP, you are a UPer, pronounced: 'you-per'. Because we live 'below the bridge', the UPers claim that those of us who live in the lower peninsula are 'trolls'. :-)
Hi Sorry that I haven't watched it all because it's extremely late here. I will watch the entire video tomorrow but I'm happy to help in any way that I can. I built a electric Crank for these older tractors, if it's needed I can only offer my help.
HNk , I LUV you guys , your funny , but at the same time , respectful to owners of the machines and the land they sit on. You are gentleman both. Long may you. Continue
It's funny how the first thing is to see if it starts after 15 years. I know maybe by the time Hank turns Wiley's age he will just go and get the batteries first, then start it since that's always next.
Awesome video guys... Matt with @DieselCreek might be interested in this dozer guys... He has all kinds of older equipment he refurbished! He's on UA-cam too...
I just love everything abaut you two guys i have 2 bulldozers my self an 1958 allis chalmers hd6 and a 1980 KOMATSU D45A-1 wish is not very common over here in europe i love them to death and i will never sell them and i will keep buying old machinery they dont make them like they used to
Back when men were men and when a Crescent wrench knew it was a Crescent wrench and not an adjustable wrench, back when nuts were rusty and not tucked.
The challenge is Run - eat a dozen donuts - run back. Our family did it for years. Getting a bit long in the tooth for that run now…. But the amount of people in the run is really amazing.

Hank you need a shirt with a picture of Wiley falling out of a big truck or off a Dozer or Loader or all the above 😂
@@trockallen55😅a😅Ddyx😊😊😂🦥
Do you want to sell massey Ferguson 50

The older 450 series were solid machines. Easy and cheap to fix. Had several and still have a 450G.
You need to load test your batteries to make sure they are not just surface charging.
That's still a strong runnin machine! 👍👍 The hours might be only 650. Good job guys!! Thanks for sharing!! 😎
I just love these two guys. They make their videos so fun to watch. It's also great they help people out.
Great karma coming to you guys helping this sweet grandma 😊😊😊😊 thank youuuu

You could really use a JNC1224 for what you're doing. Works greatly for both 12 and 24 volt systems. 🙋
The 450 was a awesome machine. Easy to work on. Hank 10000 comedians out of work and here you are trying to be one. Keep it up you have some good ones.
Hoping she gets a fair price for it and not ripped off
I hate seeing people do that to older folks who are helpless and they steal from them 😮😮
It's called Yupper my friend. ...... This from a guy in Chassell, Michigan, in Houghton county.
Started off operating a JD 450 in 1972 when I graduated high school. Love the video
Running gear looks good, I think that it standing for a while has made it look worn out. Looks a good find to me. Grousers look new !
Right on
Just adjust the tracks and off to work she goes
You guys are doing a great service for her keep up the great work 🙏
The sense of humor earned my subscription.
Alright Hank, admit it, you saved every Bazooka Gum wrapper joke they ever made!🤣
Love both your & Wily's channels👍🇺🇸😎
Lol
Always willing to do the right thing for anyone
We all have that one friend who's a hank and hope somebody calls or texts and saves us lol.

That empty fuel tank went well.🤣 Great job as always.👍
Hank you better get that one !
my dad owned a JD 450b (backhoe) it was a great machine for all the septic tanks and clearing work we did.

That was great Hank and Whilley keep the great work and sence of humor going you make my day

That machine still running strong
WILEY'S BACK. IT WILL START!

That’s a great system you describe but they may need a real mechanic to get that one going.
Thanks!
Thank you . It is much appreciated.
Dang cool video. Wiley is a old work horse carry’s all the heavy batteries for the young guys with soft hands lol….
Hank and Wylie you both need to invest in 24 volt jump pack one for each great video thanks
Starting fluid, learn it, live it, love it.
Good job getting the old JD running and operating
You two just have so much fun together. Just curious and ignorant, how did you two wind up working together?
I faught many a fire in one of those 450s. Was over run several times too. Great machines. I miss running one. Yall stay safe my friends.
Awesome job guys take care and God bless
That is freaking awesome 👌
It's always great when you get a win 🏆
God Bless 🙌
If you ask me the amount of paint that's on those pedals that doesn't indicates to me that it's done over 10,000 hours
Great video hank and whiley you both look that you are enjoying your self's glad it started went good the jokes are good to see you both on next adventure god bless you guys
Nice running engine.
Hank is having a hell of a time with those vise grips 😂
Why not weld a stud to the vice grip so the jumper wires are permanently together
Hey first video I’ve watched of yours. Nice job , good time. Bless.
Welcome. Thanks for stopping by
Wiley you gotta have some better jokes then Hank does lol 😆
Have to get with Project Farm for that bungee cord analysis. He weather tested a bunch of them. Get all CSI on that!
Must be satisfying to get those old machines running
Wily u do a good job your helper needs to do a lot more things
Beautiful video!, thanks for posting!
I'll tell my friends that joke you know the grass don't get wet it dews too LOL 🤣
I did the same thing with my 350 B , gotta have 12 volts to the injection pump !
Love the humor of these men.
So funny. You got to pump it up before you push it😂😂
That old Hank he's something else I'm glad to see you both back together again
You guy are an awesome team!! God Bless y'all and stay safe!!
I believe that's right hours no wear on pedals and leavers
Another JD fires up no issues, well once you all got some proper juice to the starter anyways. Hard to beat those JD's no doubt. Always enjoy and very entertaining as usual.
I love Wiley’s reactions to Hanks awful jokes! Lololol…quality entertainment!

Good to see you Fella’s, I’m Liking the Shirts
Great job guys !
They had 2 6volt batteries originally and that machine is a manual transmission the pedal on the left is a clutch
Awesome Hank, you and Wiley are funny. I appreciate you guys 👍
Tighten up track. Dam good machine
So Wiley, generally as I've seen doing mechanic work on marine equipment, the battery selector is ALWAYS on the HOT side. Just FYI
2:00 Was that Hank Hamilton or Tim Conway telling that story? 😜🤪 LOL!
Nice machine, Wiley is getting wise, now who bought?
Good job guys got it going that looks and sounds like a good dozer

You guys are cool. You should invest in a portable power unit. Save on all those batts. Just jump em
Great job .
Just FYI the volts could read 12.5 and it still not crank because you need more amps! Learned that from my electrician father! 😅
It's funny how the first thing is to see if it starts after 15 years. I know maybe by the time Hank turns Wiley's age he will just go and get the batteries first, then start it since that's always next.

Not only does it run, it pushes dirt!!
Good morning on Saturday nice shirt 👌

I was getting board not seeing the sparks then there they was 😂
I've got a 450C and it's a tank and starts up right away every time. I love it
You guys need either exide or interstate battery companies to sponsor you 👍
Poor old 80 year old Wiley always has to carry the batteries
And listen to Hanks awful jokes all day..
Hank doesn’t do manual labor😉
Back when men were men and when a Crescent wrench knew it was a Crescent wrench and not an adjustable wrench, back when nuts were rusty and not tucked.
@@boosted. Wiley cracks me up, why does everyone think I'm 80 years old, funny stuff.
