Great information here! I have been curious about these LED bulbs, and now I have all the info I need to run over to my Ace store and take advantage of that sale! Thanks so much for the information!
Great information there. Thanks. I love LED bulbs too. I have Bfranklin's LED bulbs all over my house.
Great information and clarification. Thanks for the mini class in conversion.
Great info on changing out your power eating regular light bulbs.....choose the right bulb for certain places...................watch the video.
Thanks bro
Very helpful thank you. Now I know which light bulbs to buy, was wondering which are the most dim light bulbs, hate bright lights!
Hi Sonia, So glad we can help! Your local Ace store can show you some great options of bulbs that aren't too bright.
I agree with the comment below. Any store that sells fluorescent bulbs (or any bulb with mercury) should have a disposal responsibility.

Any consumer who bought the bulbs should be responsible. Why should I be responsible for your problem?
I've been using soft white LED bulbs for a long time. I am wanting to switch to 4000K neutral bulbs (cooler/whiter) but the are so blindingly bright!!! I replaced some 100W soft white bulbs with 60Watt white ones and they are just glaring! If I go to a 40Watt will it be less so??
I buy CREE LED Bulbs. To bad Ace does not carry them. They are the best and all come rheostat ready. (Dimmable) I Love them. I bought a few at Office Depot then I bought a BOX from Amazon. (Cheaper) I love the look of the bulbs!
Good info here!
Are these shatterproof?

Thanks for watching!
What about the quality of light. Sure they are cheaper and last a long time but i heard the light is to much in the blue spectrum which is harmful to your eyes. Are there LEDs that address this problem?
There are LEDs that give off a warm incandescent yellow color too, I think the color temp is 2700K for those. I like them right in the middle, around 3-4000K. The brightest ones (5000K+) do pull really blue.
Blue light from LEDs is not ruining your eyes. There is more blue light in sunlight than any artificial light source and there is no scientific evidence for any negative health impacts caused by exposure to blue light.
I have Quality Light Source LED which are actually more reliable than Cree.
We can dispose at our local Ace Hardware, but they get charged to dispose of them, which inturn I pay them, or I can take them out to our local landfill to dispose of them for free, but I dont want to drive out there all the time for one or two bulbs.
NOT IN LOCAL OR ANY LANDFILL-CAUSES TOO MUCH DAMAGE TO YOUR OWN PLANET-!!😵
You already know that LED light bulbs are a powerful and energy-efficient way to brighten any space. Click here www.howtocrazy.com/led-vs-incandescent-lighting-what-you-need-to-know/
The major problem with LED bulbs is too much of it is duplicate function and material (waste) to stepping down from 120V AC to 5-12V DC, in EACH bulb. The electronics that step down the 120V AC also can not withstand 120V AC indefinitely and goes out before the LED. There needs to be new building code for lower DC V inside the house for LED use. Probably other appliances can also use the lower voltage. Too many transformers 120V AC to 12V DC for example. Maybe time to move to 12V inside the home.
Thats because these bulbs are designed to fail. We already have LED bulbs, starting last year, that will actually last 40 years.
led can be beat by lps street lights
Everything home repair Yes. Even HPS street lamps are better. Led sucks in street lights
I think you would sell more if you offered a service where you will dispose of the old bulb, not just look at it.
NOT UNTIL I CAN TAKE MY OLD FLUORESCENT BULBS IN WILL I BUY ANYTHING TO REPLACE THEM.
All the Ace Hardware stores around me take CFL light bulbs (and tubes too) and recycles them.
Hi, Walter.
CFL recycling is offered at participating Ace Hardware stores. Contact your local Ace Hardware for information. You can use our store locater here: bit.ly/findace.Many municipalities provide recycling services for incandescent and CFL light bulbs through curbside collection or drop-off locations. www2.epa.gov provides details on recycling an easy way to find collection schedules in your area or drop-off locations if curbside collections are not available.
Stephen Hicks mmmm I'm going to try to manage your message from a positive side.. yes most people doesn't care but the future of this world is affected by the crazy ones that have lived earlier ...
+Ace Hardware why aren't led bulbs recycled, the are full of electronics.
germanlopez-what about the future retarded ones that will rule the world in the future & we will all have to live & put up with their retardedness literally & there will no longer be any smart ones out there to rely on for anything is a scary situation & a great problem for the planet.
I've come across an issue that makes the long life claims less true. If a bulb says it'll last roughly 15,000 hours but the bulb quality itself is poor, it might die just a few months or 1-2 years later. No good having a technology that theoretically lasts long but is built sh***y The amount of times I've had to replace LED bulbs coz they've vanilla died on me isn't great.
Lower The Prices of All Light Bulb Products Now, That's Too Much $$ 500,000 %
It should not take FOUR MINUTES to explain this. Done.
I hate LED. Incandescent ftw
I hate incandescent bulbs they waste money and put out more heat then even cfls or LEDs
They are good in the winter, My 25w headboard bed lamp takes the chill off the air
why?
