I get it because 10mm is always the one that gets lost/missing in 99% of tool boxes. Ha. But if we follow that logic, and the probability of losing a 10mm is crazy high… it’s just now we lose both our keys along with another 10mm… 😔
Hoonigan is officially back to form. This is grassroots. This is truly awesome to watch. This channel is once again, for the folks who build their vehicles at home.
@@civicsr2cool Gotta do what you gotta do to survive and keep the brand. Its easy to go back to old School, its hard to catch up if your business falls down or behind.
@@MustangSkar I agree as well, if you notice today, that hoonigan has a ton of new partnerships, that they do mild advertisement on all channels, that’s how you ensure survival while sticking to what got you to the dance. I think hoonigan probably enjoyed keeping a lot of partnerships private in the past, but today, it’s totally fine to be transparent. We know the factors that contributed and I think Hoonigan reacted with a perfect precision that speaks highly of the crew. 90% of other movements would fail if this happened to them, too corporate or too lax in responses to a crisis. Scotto, Vin, Ron, Clearlake, they all reacted organically which is why we get to see this continue.
A buddy of mine had one of these back in high school. His had a manual transmission, super swamper tires, a huge double 12” subwoofer box, and an Xbox hooked up to the head unit with a pop-up screen. Needless to say, lunch time in the parking lot was a party every day haha!
What you have to love about Zach is that he's a pretty legitimate wrench, despite all the bluster! You see him working a lot on his own, whilst wearing white pants. That's brave!
Man, this old two door reminds me of my 98 Silverado that I had in high school. My parents bought it brand new in November of ‘97, and I fell in love. I remember going to the dealer with my family to get it. The salesman tried to convince my dad to buy one with the 4.3 in it, but ol pops wasn’t having it lol! He told the salesman he wanted one with the 5.7. So my dad ended up getting a green extended cab Silverado with the 5.7, third door, and CD player. My parents gave me the truck in 2004 after my Camaro had some issues. The truck had approximately 110k miles on it, so needless to say it was still in great shape. I Hooned the s*** out of that truck from 04-12 whenever I totaled it by hitting a doe. The truck was hands down the absolute best truck I have ever owned and one of the best I have been around. To be put through mud riding, taking it to the drag strip and racing buddies, shifting it like it was a manual, hitting about 5 different deer over the years, and then just running the absolute hell out of the truck, I couldn’t have asked for a better one!! It had 330,000+ miles on it when I totaled it, and it devastated me. I had replaced numerous things on it, (new radiator, alternator, front clip, tires, exhaust, head unit), and had just rebuilt the engine and trans about 3 months prior to hitting the deer. It meant more than words could explain cause it had a ton of sentimental value. I parked it for about 8 months and had bought an 06 GMC Sierra that I also loved. I had every intention on rebuilding the old Chevy, but was laid off from my job, and ended up selling it for $700 cause I needed the money to pay the note on the GMC. I’m almost 36 now, married and have kids of my own, and I still think of that truck and how much I would love to have another someday!!
Stoked. This is gonna be a badass build. This is gonna be a fast build. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD box this frame. If you're gonna reinforce any of your trucks...might want to make it the one that's gonna run 9s.
My dad had a white, 4X4, four door, 1997 Tahoe with tan leather interior fully loaded. I loved that thing. That’s what I learned to drive and how to back up a trailer when I was 15. Best tricks on the road to this day.
There's been many times I'm walking my dog in Long Beach and I hear a loud rowdy car, and I turn and See Zac rolling by in his Red Z06, feels like I'm spotting a celebrity! :D
@Big D Fitness Blazer is built for prepped tracks and the Tahoe will be awd and built for no prep. They'd either have to drop power or pedal it the whole way. I think it'd be a pretty good match up considering that.
Just bought a clean '95 4 door because i couldnt afford a solid 2 door down here in FL. So thanks for getting my dream truck so i can stay jealous always!!!
Was my dream truck as a kid and so I bought one, a ‘93…the last year for the K5. White with black star 22’s-So in love with that body style another one came up here in Orlando and I bought it also (Green with Dubs) nowI don’t have any driveway space, i’ll share one if anybody’s interested!
watching all these build videos have really reminded me why i love cars and the aftermarket community because you can take whatever car or truck or whatever you like and make it do whatever you want lmao i wanna make me an awd drag 240 now i just need to know what heart its gonna have
Forklift: Machine for testing the tensile strength of everything you forgot to disconnect. Also that 350 would be perfect for an old school hot rod build `cause it's already built for a full roller setup inside. Clean it up, cam + heads & a stroker kit, Sniper on a hi-rise intake, nasty street rod vibes for days. Either way, looking forward to another signature "Zac put way too much motor in this and it's awesome" 10/10 no notes ridiculous build.
L31 350 vortec puts out 255hp & 330lbs torq from memorie. the L30(5L) were making 230hp and 300lbs torq. decent power for the time. they are great engine. biggest issue is the injector spider breaking. and the distributor have a cam sensor into it that needed a relearn everytime you took it out! i also got some issue of plastic timing cover breaking so you would loose the crank sensor signal!
I did a 4l80e swap to my 93 full size blazer last October, and it is by far my favorite mod for the rig. I even got the 2007 transmission running of of a 1994 k3500 pcm in the rig.
I just bought a 97 4 door thanks for the inspiration looks great 👍I definitely need that 4l60e ine does not like to reverse where can I buy that thing.

Hey Boys, Thoses Vortec Iron heads are not that bad. We would like to see an Old SBC 383 stroker with thoses heads paired with single plane fuel injected injection to it with stand alone fuel management. I have seen 650hp n/a with that setup. Zachs builds get me excited and with a surprise build this just got even more interesting
Came for the Zac, stayed for the Zac. Cheers!
love all of Zachs builds! my guess is a supercharged LT(gen v), cant wait to find out.
That’b be awesome, those L83 5.3 motors are cheap killers with hardly anything done but fuel system and boost
SMX
Love the OBS Tahoe! I had a 96 6.5TD 2 door years ago. Just picked up a 2000 Tahoe Limited hot mom wagon for the wife and kiddos.
I would definitely invest in an AWD transfer case and diff from a Escalade, so you never worry about breaking the 4x4 no matter what the tahoes doing
The Tahoe you build will be most likely everything I'd want and just envy. So far every chevy u have is the absolute best 👌 👍🏻
Hopefully you line this thing up with a track hawk once it’s all settled and done. That would be a sweet race.
Can't wait for the this vs zac series

been waiting on this build... Zach Clutch Daddy. The Manual Shifter of Yore. The Legend we were promised... Tahoe that go go!
I’m not seeing the 10mm on the shop. Did they get misplaced?
Hey Hoonigan guys! Add a bottle opener to the 10mm keychain!
The 2 door gang is growing!! I freaking love these things and can't wait to finish mine. 4x4, lowered, and swapped
Lol I love this, Cuzz they show the parts they fuck up. The coolant spilling for the 3rd time had me dying.
