Of all the smart speakers we have tested over the years, the Omnia stands out as the best one yet. Not only does it have every input you could imagine, but it also sounds the best of any we have listened to. Plus it looks like an Italian sculpture sitting on your table! Sonus Faber is known for making beautiful speakers that can cost more than a luxury car. Their dedication to warm and neutral sound comes through in the Omina. Your ears will tell you it comes from a company dedicated to delivering music that sounds completely natural. We have never seen a smart speaker with so many options of how to get music into it. From streaming to Bluetooth, to HDMI, to even a phono input! The Omnia has everything covered!

This is a beautiful speaker, and I'm excited to hear it. I've always liked Sonus Faber.
We are glad you liked it and we can't agree more. The Sonus Faber Omnia is one really cool speaker! Thanks for watching, Seth.
Excellent review - thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Looks beautiful!
We couldn't agree more, Chris! Thanks for watching.
amazing! I am so eager to listen to it
You will like it! Thanks for watching
Great review. I'm hooked and ordering a unit on 22nd March
Thank you, we appreciate your support!
Beautiful speaker!
It really is!
You are very thorough 👍🏼
We really appreciate it
Great looking speaker.
Thanks very much!
They put some quality in this speaker
Yes they certainly did, thanks for watching
How does rate as far as for home theater? The craftsmanship I think is amazing. Is there any soundbars you would recommend with this kind of high end aesthetics if this is not good for home theater.
It would be for the person who put music ahead of TV viewing. It is far better than built in TV speakers and yes, it looks amazing. The sub would be room size dependent. Please reach out to our team at www.audioadvice.com for advice.
Beautiful speaker! I know it’s possible to use Airplay for a wireless connection but since AirPlay doesn’t support Apple Hi Res (ALAC 24 bit/ 192 kHZ) audio I’m wondering if it’s possible to make a wired connection to the Omnia via its Analog dongle? For example I would like to connect my iPhone to an external DAC then connect the DAC to the Omnia via a 3.5mm cable. Just trying to figure out how to get Apple Hi Res audio with this speaker. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
It is a beautiful speaker and you could do exactly what you described with the analog line in
Wow that's a cool speaker. Never heard of this brand but I like it. Thanks!
Sonus is a great high-performance brand and they really show off what they can do well this time with this model. Thanks for watching!
Hi, how do you change the loudness maximizer? if I try to increase or decrease via the app the line doesn't move... thanks!!
It should be moving. If you purchased your Omnia from Audio Advice, please reach out to us for tech support.
Sonos Faber looks like a more upscale version of the run of the mill sound bar from the usual suspects. I'll bet it delivers great sound.
Thanks Marty, the sound is fantastic!
You show the Omnia on the same surface as a turntable. Without getting into this "discussion", did you play vinyl while in this setup? It seems that a down-firing woofer (also in the Mu-So) would be even worse for feedback to the tonearm. Any comments??
Marc, you make a great point here. Leon, who reviewed this speaker actually did it offsite and had it on a separate surface. We simply showed that as an example for how some people may use it. But yes, ideally you’d like to have them separate to avoid feedback. Thanks for watching!
Very keen on this. Did you also test it steaming Qobuz Hi-Res?
The only way to use Qobuz for now is through Roon which we did test and it worked well. Thanks for watching
@@AudioAdvice Thank you - response much appreciated!
@@AudioAdvice P.S. After investigating Roon and finding it to involve a subscription, I‘m now no longer interested in purchasing the Sonus Faber Omnia as a system on which to mostly stream Qobuz hi-res. Strange that there is no direct support of Qobuz. Anyhow, thanks for helping me avoid disappointment! :-)
@@scottbecker3485 Yes, Roon is a subscription service, it is a fantastic interface, but does come at a cost. Glad we were helpful
Very nice speaker. I would love to hear it. However, the "thin bars of light" and volume buttons look like a design flaw to me. Watch at 2:05 and witness repeated touches on the volume "button" - I don't want to have to do that. The response from the unit (light bar changing) doesn't look immediate and granular enough. I'll take a large rotary button à la Naim any day.
Thanks for sharing, the volume up/down works pretty well, but yes, it is smoother on the remote or using your phone and we agree, the large knob on the Naim is hard to beat. But this box sounds amazing for what it is. Thanks for watching
Very good review.
Is it possible to connect it to a sonus faber subwoofer?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks very much. There is not a sub out. Thanks for watching
@@AudioAdvice ok thanks
I know it’s a one box streamer but is it as good as the Naim Mu So for almost giving you that separate speaker soundstage ?
Both of those have a pretty good soundstage for a one box unit, but we have to give the edge to the Omnia. Thanks for watching
Please do a comparison review with mcintosh rs 250.
Thank you
That's a great idea. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.
This is the best wireless speaker system on the market. I listened to lsx2, sonus, naim muso2... this is THE BEST.
It does sound phenomenal!
I'm deciding between this one, naim muso 2 and kef ls50II (2 gen) and while ls50 sounds better you have true stereo with 2 pieces and ls50 is not portable for sure!
@@B.B.M.R definitely if u can get the ls50ii get it! But definitely it is a lot more expensive for sure.
How does it compare to the Mcintosh RS 250 is the question?
Good question, we are waiting on getting our RS250 samples. It is supposed to be the same operating system but with McIntosh speakers. Thanks for watching
How does this compare to the Nakamichi Dragon sound system that I just pre-order last week for $3500 11.4.6 Atmos with DTS X pro. With 3000 watts
Apples and Oranges. The Omnia is a music system for about half the price of the Atmos soundbar system you ordered
Nakamichi is ok. There is better though. But you're comparing it to a lower price Bluetooth speaker to feel good about yourself? As if 3500 is so much lol... Stop bragging, 16 year old gamers build PCs that are 5000+ dollars.
Would you pick this over beoplay edge??
We have not heard the beoplay edge and would not want to comment without hearing it. Thanks for watching
Is it suitable for big leaving Rooms of Bungalow?
It should be yes, thanks for watching
How does this compare to the Niam Mu-so...?
The Muso had equal or better bass, but the midrange to us sounded a little better on this one. It functioned great too and we have to say we think the room boundary options worked better
Was the price mentioned?
Current pricing www.audioadvice.com/sonus-faber-omnia-smart-wireless-speaker-system
Definitely a niche speaker idea . Semi-audiophile and well suited to compact TV extension and easy mobility . (as a turntable/vinyl reproduction combo it would be a great option)
HOWEVER , NOT an option as a component in a serious theater plan.
You are 100% correct, for what the Omnia does, it is very impressive, but will never replace home theater separates. Thanks for watching
HJ
For those with limited space or minimalist design layout. This Omnia speaker is perfect for them.
@@wilsonrawlin8547 exactly
Did you even listen to the Naim Mu-So2 yet? 😮
The Muso 2 is also very good. Thanks for watching
I like the design, but I guess that Omnia would have no chance against Vifa Stockholm 2.0 or the Devialet phantom I 108...
The Vifa is far larger, but we have not heard it to compare. A Phantom 108 will play louder, but to us does not have the connectivity the Omnia does. Thanks for watching
@@AudioAdvice Thanks for answering but I would really like you to take a listen to Vifa, that speaker is just special sounding imo with really neutral response, open and detailed sound with precision that I've only heard from electrostatic speaker before and Vifa is really thin so overall volume should be similar...
can u connect it to your tv ?
Great question and the answer is yes if your TV had an Arc connection, and even better, when you connect it that way, when you turn on the TV, it will turn on the Lumina and select that input and control its volume with the TV remote
It’s possible to connect a CD player ?
Yes, it comes with a little dongle you can switch between being a MM phono preamp or line level for a CD player. Thanks for watching
Thanks for sharing!
This sounds better than the Naim Muso?
They are both very good units.
@@AudioAdvice but which sounds better for hiphop and reggae genres of music in particular?
Great job but no subwoofer out not for me thin.
Fair enough! Thanks for watching, Henry!
@@AudioAdvice keep up the great job! 😎👍
This or devialet phantom?
Both are very good, the apps are easier to use on the Omnia with more choices too. Both put out a very big sound, but the Phantom has more deep bass. Totally different appearance. Thanks for watching
@@AudioAdvice Thank you for your reply and insight. I do have one more question, Beoplay A9 or Omni in your opinion?
@@dontwatchmydoomvideos Omnia!!
Naim mu-so 2 не хуже
The Muso 2 is very good too, thanks for watching
@@AudioAdvice And thank you for the interesting video !
1800€. 😂😂😂😂😂
That sounds about right, thanks for watching
probably just me but it's looks like a chopping board :)
LOL. Yes, the wood finish on top is beautiful!
@@AudioAdvice no doubt about that . as usual quality from the company i bet . but when i look at it first then i got a smile on my face
How dare you 🤣🤣
The problems for this kind of speakers are :
1, Audiophiles would not buy it.
2, Too expensive for casual music listening.
We have already sold several to Sonus Faber owners to go in another room. For what it is, we feel it is the best in its class. Thanks for watching
2000$ for a glorified portable speaker is nuts.
It is ultra-high-end, and expensive, but the sound is seriously impressive. Thanks for watching!
*❌✅ Audio Advice ✅ if this is $2k how much was the one with the motorized side speakers* ❓❓ _and name of it_
@@eurekaakerue4649 The SF16, it was around $10K, thanks for watching
