So after owning brv automatic for 15months now ..i can say its a great vehicle .. Resale of honda petrols are more ..+maintainence is less + you can strech full legs and almost sleep (flat bed) if you sit in 3rd row and fold 2nd row + cost 2.0 lakhs less with discount ..i think the place inside brv is 1.5times that of creata .unfortunetly it failed to a large extend ..part of the blame must go to honda as well 16lakh car was introduced without parking sensors which were available as accessory for 5k !!! FINALLY I AM YET TO SEE A BRV OWNER WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT IT POST PURCHASE!!
Honda BRV is a very good performer in city's high traffic conditions and on the highway too. Have been driving it since 2 years, odometer stands at 18000 plus kms, and the car is going stronger and better, it provides great ride quality, driving experience and comfort. And as Autocar says, its true, that it is better and most sensible than the other car mentioned in the video any given day. I definitely recommend the BRV.
I just bought a brv its gonna be a month old and it's the best car, which I have driven. It gives power when needed for an overtake and it has a plenty of space for family and equipment. Me being a adventure junkie and like long drives and camping outside. It's best for carrying all that equipment and my bbq grill fits very comfortably. I bought the V version and I got gps nav and rear park camera separately. With 210mm ground clearance, it's very easy to go over pot holes and speed bumper with ease. In my opinion BRV are for those people who loves outdoors and can't sit still in the house.
Same here bro, I love my BR-V. I got the Megaaudio 786JN fitted which comes with a rear camera. I just did a trip to Kashmir from Delhi in September 2017 and a trip to Auli last month..drives like a charm
My favorite car Honda Brv it will be like driving a small car...handling, driving confidence, stability, performance, economy super I love it..Thanks to Honda..
nice review and I agree completely. Unless you are completely sold on Creta's looks, BRV is the right choice. It has better ride quality, better engine & power, better CVT experience, far more space in lesser price. What more ?
Now the BRV makes lot more sense with reverse parking camera and sensor and 7 inch touch infotainment system coming factory fitted, and during the festival offer honda fest, BRV VX MT is cheaper than Hyundai Creta SX+ by 1.5 lakhs and with this addition has same features. Plus you get a reliable honda with 7 seats or 690 lt boot when 3rd row folded (which i prefer). Ur opinion?
Very good review of BR-V. Just launched in Pakistan. We already have Honda HRV and Vizel here. HRV available here for 36lakh and BRV for 23 lakh pak rupees. Both by Atlas Honda officially. Whereas Vizel, the hybrid one is available as imported car for rupees almost 30 lakh in good condition, 2-3 years old.
On the basis of all facts & figures Honda Brv is proved a smart SUV. Others like creta, duster, S Crass are compact SUVs but not as smart as BRv. It is also a matter of fact that BRv has discontinued but others are still in the showrooms and few are selling like hot cakes. Definitely brv did not pack with touch screen, reverse camera (R cam) in the beginning and added later, but these are not the whole things. Brv is having 2 seats extra which is more useful than touch screen & R cam. Touch screen & reverse camera can be implanted from out side but 2 extra seats can not be implanted. Other SUV designers mostly concentrated on one seat (driver's seat) only but designers of brv are concentrated on all seats. Friends, there are no any universally accepted definition of SUVs. Different experts, diff. Peoples, different nations are having their own definitions . Brv maximally fits on variety of definitions of SUVs. Honda tried to give a smart useful 7 seater SUV in price of existing 5 seater SUVs. Despite of having lots of useful qualities BRV failed to attract majority of indian people , reasons are multiple, may be Weak marketing, lack of awareness in customers, destiny related factor etc. There is needless uproar of offroading in the market. In india only 1 to 2 % people go for offroading. They also not go for it very often. Peoples are very busy in their onroad works. They travel point to point and also wishes to travel on smooth plane roads. So, for indian peoples (except forest and army officials) needless to search for 4WD . Front wheel derive ( FWD) vehicle is most sufficient for them. Brv, creat, duster (except few models), S cross all are FWD. Brv is a stylish, stable, powerful, comfortable, spacious, mileage frugal & peppy smart SUV. If we look for a little comparison between BRV, Creta, Duster, S Cross then we can see the Brv is the most qualified SUV over others. A) Ground clearance - Brv 210mm, creta 190mm, duster 205mm, S cross 180 mm. B) Tyre size - 16 inch for all. C) CC - nearly 1.5 for all with few minor differences D) Average (petrol) - between 15 l. to 18 l. for all E) Kerb wt. - between 1100 kg to 1300 kg for all So dear friends, Conclusively a vehicle ( BR V) having 210mm ground clearance (maximum in segment), very bold & stylish look, carrying 7 persons comfortably, 16 inches tyre, peppy engine (smooth ivtec) and very stable on roads can be surely called as a smart SUV. Initially Brv was lacking in few features ( touch & R cam) so creta & duster are also lacking in ground clearance & 2 extra seats. Extra seats and ground clearance are much more important than touch & R cam . Touch & R cam can be externally implanted. BRV , Creta definitely not having 4WD but who needs for 4WD , not 98 % of peoples and rest 2 % also don't use 4WD frequently.
you can now get a the Honda City info entertainment system. for about 30K. and the dealer can give you the reverse cam. Just say "what are you going to give me". But you can get other entertainment systems.
Renuka mam u r my fvrt Automotive Journalist... i want one more comparison please compare the BR-V vs EARTIGA for 6 or 7 seater family n Go Anywhere...
I do not like SUV type cars but BRV is a clear winner. Paddle shift is nice feature to have. We can get parking sensor or rear camera that is not a deal braker IMO. Handling wise all honda cars I have driven are fun. In the review also it says steering is better so not surprised. Also the window is really big in BRV in second row which makes a lot of difference. BRV is versatile with space by folding 3rd row and ground clearance for off road is also better. I do not understand why people prefer Creta
KAUSHIK PRASAD i have brv petrol MT. IT GIVES 9 to 10 kmpl in city and 12 to 14 on highway. Inspect well at time of delivrry... mine had 20 faults and defects at time of delivery !!!
Very well presented with great focus and very precise on what needs to be shared. A great command on the language and well researched in all aspects for presentation. Very honest views and keeping in mind and trends with comfort. Keep up the good presentations, we look forward to your comments and presentations much often.
Not sure you already made your purchase the screen , seat covers ..etc can be purchased as accessories..but you cannot convert manual into automatic .Also manual resale would be issue as no one might prefer it after 5 years
these days honda sucks... It is going Maruti way... offering same stuff in different packages... Hyundai is serving us well. its because of Hyundai that indian cars have all those features unlike past when 11 lac Honda city didn't have auto AC. Hyundai has grown leaps n bounds. All they need is to get that stable ride quality on highways... rest in all departments, Hyundai trumps its competition hands down...
Hello AUTOCAR. Love your Reviews. Keep it up. I am planning to buy Hyundai Creta crdi in september. Please recommend which varient shall i buy as i have daily travelling of 60 kms from my home to office and back, adding to that i love to travel outstations as roadtrips every 3-4 months. So, can you suggest me which varient should i buy 1.4 or 1.6??
Autocar.. your verdict is impressed me very much keep it up the both car is very good but when we pay around 11 lakhh there are missing the 3rd row seats in many more cars in this sagement but honda could provide it and also the BRV's perfrmance is also good and the only thing is missout in this car is rear parking camera and the touchscreen ....I compromise it because all things have pros and cons
Brv is better than creta...the string of comments for this video....and the sales figures of creta is all time high irrespective of whatever carmake you bring in, in this segment....so in short....people talk good about brv and end up buying creta...
Can someone tell me which one is better, the Honda Jazz, the Hyundai elite i20 or the Maruti Suzuki Baleno ? I want a petrol car. And I will buy a manual. My budget is 9 Lacks, thanks.
Jazz or baleno is a better choice compared to i20 petrol.. Both have better room inside the cabin and are also more powerful and fuel efficient.. Baleno is the best in terms of fuel efficiency coz of its less weight..
I own a brv...the thirdrow is more than enough for adults no doubt....we have been with family 6people around 500kms....just push the middle row a bit forward and recline both seats....and also recline third seats a you'll get comfortable ride in the backside. Its a joy being in brv for family
looks are good, but interiors are so boring..I took a test drive of diesel as well as petrol both are good but interior are not well no touch screen infotainment, looks like a taperecorder in the cars.rest all is good

thankyou so much.
How much you spent on extra fitings ? Will it affect warranty if ffitted from outside ?
ROHIT SINGH hi ... what is the brv base varient on road price
Same here bro, I love my BR-V. I got the Megaaudio 786JN fitted which comes with a rear camera. I just did a trip to Kashmir from Delhi in September 2017 and a trip to Auli last month..drives like a charm
Hats off to Renuka, I think she is one of the best automotive journalists in India. As usual, a crisp, clear, and professional presentation.
Exactly right
My favorite car Honda Brv it will be like driving a small car...handling, driving confidence, stability, performance, economy super I love it..Thanks to Honda..
It's the side profile that ruins brv's suv looks.. Overall BRV is a better choice compared to creta..!
never mind....people..r prefering to creta.....
+Sachin Acharya They are both actually very different cars having different target audiences.
nice review and I agree completely.
Unless you are completely sold on Creta's looks, BRV is the right choice. It has better ride quality, better engine & power, better CVT experience, far more space in lesser price. What more ?

Very good review of BR-V. Just launched in Pakistan. We already have Honda HRV and Vizel here. HRV available here for 36lakh and BRV for 23 lakh pak rupees. Both by Atlas Honda officially. 36 lakh Pakistani Rupees for the HRV means close to 21 lakh INR. On the same range of the midrange Innova Crysta. That sounds like a good deal.
Honda Hrv is the best match for Creta.... Unfortunately Honda doesn't bring that to India!
I was waiting for the Honda Vezel also. Drove one on my recent trip to Singapore. Love that vehicle. It should do great in India.
I tried 3 cars including the new duster 2016 and i feel Duster is way lot more efficient and the looks as well.
super vehicle...I bought it one month ago ....comfortable....missing is navigation only...Good mileage about 20km/l
One of the best reviewers, really. Comprehensive yet precise and exactly what I need to hear.

Brv better than creta. Maintenance cost lower in brv than creta and the main thing is brv had 7 seats..
its sad that brv failed in India, imo car is great for Indian roads or (lack of roads)
There are no gears in Honda BR-V it's CVT.....
Good review....but what about FUEL EFFICIENCY ?
For creta its around 8-12 kmpl. Dont know about Brv. My creta petrol auto will be coming next month :)
congratulations bro :) and thank you :D
Saurabh Singh is creta petrol automatic worth buying?? please reply because im planning to buy the same.
Both would be around 9 in city and 15 on highway!!
that side profile though
50:50 Door 2 Window ratio proves itz a re-worked MPV
Honda BRV 😍❤️ my lub ❤️
Mobilo vs brv ? How does it differ?
I'm driving a creta. M. Petrol. It's comfortable and smooth driving. It's more to city car than off roads. Over all very nice to drive.

Saurabh Shastri
Saurabh Shastri can you make brv vs crv video
Different leagues
Plz suggest me a suitable car:
. Budget around 10 Lacs
. Petrol
. Automatic
. 60 kms daily travel in peak trafffic
. 6 days a week
KAUSHIK PRASAD i have brv petrol MT.
IT GIVES 9 to 10 kmpl in city and 12 to 14 on highway.
Inspect well at time of delivrry... mine had 20 faults and defects at time of delivery !!!
What is the gear ration for BRV diesel? At what speed we can engage 6th gear??
Honda is better then hyundai
I found the 2nd row seats of BRV quite cheap and very thin. Not sure why Honda will put such cost cutting in a 15Lakh MUV.
Very well presented with great focus and very precise on what needs to be shared. A great command on the language and well researched in all aspects for presentation. Very honest views and keeping in mind and trends with comfort.
Keep up the good presentations, we look forward to your comments and presentations much often.
Shud go for Auto or Manual version of BRV ???
Manual version is fully loaded
Auto lacking few

Mam you are really advocate of cars
Can you please do a video comparison of creta and EcoSport. Please
Very nice comparison video. Do these cars have an off-road ability?
Please upload comparison between Creta VS Duster 2016
innova aspiranta may consider B-RV
I wish creta would have two extra seats at back then it would be much better than BR-V
IS THERE ANY CHANCE FOR NEW FACELIFT OF HONDA BRV PETROL VERSION IN INDIA IN FORTHCOMING YEAR?? PLEASE PLEASE HELP.
Not really
Brv is better than creta...the string of comments for this video....and the sales figures of creta is all time high irrespective of whatever carmake you bring in, in this segment....so in short....people talk good about brv and end up buying creta...
You are right Aravind Honda cars are better than Hyundai
I like hyundai creta and honda brv i like it

Jazz or baleno is a better choice compared to i20 petrol..
Both have better room inside the cabin and are also more powerful and fuel efficient..
Baleno is the best in terms of fuel efficiency coz of its less weight..
i20 elite any day of the week
go for hyundai elite i20
baleno or jazz both r good
Jazz is good for fuel economy and reliability xD
how comfortable would the third row be for adults? especially in case of long drives..
I own a brv...the thirdrow is more than enough for adults no doubt....we have been with family 6people around 500kms....just push the middle row a bit forward and recline both seats....and also recline third seats a you'll get comfortable ride in the backside. Its a joy being in brv for family
not comfortable
reAAlly confortable
Agree with her views.
The AVN system can be added for 40k
I was told around 50K for AVN and parking sensors + camera. All in, the BRV Petrol AT would still be 50K cheaper than the Creta Petrol AT.
That's true. Probably with the sensors it is 50k
make the same video with manual transmission
Why?
Why?
Why?
in todays (busy) traffic -worldwide- an automatic is a better choice
looks are good, but interiors are so boring..I took a test drive of diesel as well as petrol both are good but interior are not well no touch screen infotainment, looks like a taperecorder in the cars.rest all is good

Compare ertiga at with brv cvt
BRV is definetly the better choice...
I test drove BRV and the test drive vehicle was just 2 years old (11k kms done) and the back seats were rattling and shaking like crazy. The car was good to drive, but I decided against buying the car considering the build quality and rattling. 2 Years and 11k kms is too less for a 14 lakh car to start rattling, which was disappointing, because from a feature and practicality perspective, BRV makes more sense to buy than a Creta.
Brv is very good looking and has a powerfull engine than Hyundai
Honda Never gives a regular design which is seen by my grandfathers
prize
one scene from this video is shot in karjat
Hyundai is basically criticised for its low and cheap built quality. Good to stick to Honda or wait for Kia brand cars.
just add between them the new duster awd then all the cars are sucked its the boss of suv
.. and then add the new LandRover Discoverer and all 3 gets blown aside.
Wow your brain excllent bros 😂🙏🙏
But duster stands 15 in ass honda 1 along with suzuki
She is the best
To me, the BRV's 7 seats is the only thing which is attractive compared against the Creta (Well, of course the CVT too, but I think I can deal with the torque convertor on the Creta, no problem). However, the Creta's exterior SUV-ish look and interiors are just way above the BRV so I will probably choose the Creta because of that itself.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza is missing here..............
Brezza doesnt have a CVT/AMT/Auto variant
I think its too narrow.. Creta has better proportions in SUV term.. but even CRETA looks best when viewed head on.. from the back its Meh..
Yeah .. If the BRV was broader, it would have been a huge hit at this price point. But they probably couldn't do it for keeping the price at what it is now.
not just broader, it should have been more innova-ish or more ertiga-ish or a CUV like Creta and Brezza
this thing is just a modifed mobilio ie an upsized Brio at the end of it
I hate Brio platform Honda cars, the Civic platform cars of the previous gen and the international Jazz platform are much better
the creta has the most presence in the road
Now that new Ecosports is out, can we get a comparison of the 3?
Creta has 1.6 litre petrol engine
Brv is better than creta
honda is best
No Duster Auto ????
are they NA?
if yes why? still
NA as in naturally aspirated? well the Honda 1.5 Ivtec doesnt need a turbo as such, its very refined and overpowered in the City(Dunno about BRV)
Karthik Naik Turbo could provide the much needed Torque for Bulky SUV's ! +FE
Balaji Chandrasekaran except-
1. These arent SUVs, they are MUV/CUVs
2. Neither are bulky or heavy as such
Turbo would be a great addition no doubt but costs would go very very high
what is ur height mam
Still... U should have added Brezza in this comparison test..
pawan biradar BreezA is very very waist car.
Awesome review ...
Do you gus comparison between Honda and Hyundai ?lol....obviously Honda is better...Honda is extremely low maintenance car till 300000 km...just need to change brakes pad, tires, regularly change oil...no one better then Honda n Toyota in world.even in luxury car Toyota Lexus and Honda Acura .
Brv is nothing but high mobilio.... Nothing in it....
interiors and exterior look is better but thats about it
Brio platform cars are terrible
I wish they make their future offerings based off the Jazz Platform or better still the Civic platform like previous gen hondas like the City 2009
Creta is best
U must buy a proper XL SUV scorpio in that price lol, and if u really want it to be cheap as 10L , there is nothing near to ecosport
The space in brv is twice that of ecosport get a tape i will prove it :)
ok
creta anytime
2024 gang assemblee😂😂😂😂😂😂
Honda is always better....than Hyundai
Totally agreed bro but in this case BRV looses in terms of interiors, power and manoeuvrability. Creta rules the compact suv segment.
if honda is better than...hyundai...then y hyundai is winnig three car of the years...for the consecutive three years..
honda n hyundai .r both good
+Raj Vaswani yeah bro
Raj, Honda 1.5 Ivtec is a much better engine than Cretas
Hyundai steering feedback is terrible
Hyundai is better
The seats of brv is the worst....ur height is less thats why ur getting a bit more leg space....the seats is not at all comfortable
Man ..the only car where you can completely slide the mid row back recline it almost is brv ..guess what the 3rd row can be reclined as well ..add 10k buy seat covers but the practicality it offers is unmatched!!
Honda is always the perfect but hyundai never
honda brv cool 😎 the real suv
Nope man never
have a creta 1.6 L SX(O) model
a good SUV when you drive a manual version you can feel the power BrV is just a shit
hyundai creta is way better
Orthodox Honda
TATA HEXA WILL BEAT ALL
I dont like honda interiors
Honda BRV is better than Creta
