How can Wallace be so lacking in human decency? Some of his questions truly feel like they’re made just for the sake of hurting the weak, honest woman, the fallen idol she never even wanted to be. The tone of interview, specially towards the end, makes me sad and disgusted.
She is above him in so many ways...spiritually, mentally, artistically...better educated. She is incredible for putting up with this stupid twat. Why is he trying to nail her? Jeeze! I mean I get it if he asked questions because she was so high profile but he was rude about it:

Maria Callas was so beautiful, even in her final days. Everything about her was beautiful. Her singing voice, her speaking voice, her eyes, her smile, her mind, her hair, her hairstyles, everything. RIP, Madame Callas.
He is so terrible. She is Maria Callas, the biggest Artist of the 20th Century. And he asks her such personal questions. So sad. When he asks - „When did Callas held a Pokerface?“ you can see her think „RIGHT NOW!“
This is one of the worst interviews I've ever seen. It's like watching a train wreck. I love her strength, vulnerability and courage. Her talent is insurmountable and nobody could surpass that.
This interview well sums up the great contrast between American and European sensibilities in that in comparison to her adult thoughtfulness, humour, subtlety, beauty and honesty, he's rather a teenager, sometimes rude, crass, tasteless, only interested in gossip, almost unaware of her greatness as an artist!
I love Maria Callas. She is so far beyond Wallace it is mystifying. He truly gave a horrible and profoundly insensitive interview. Typical American interviewer.
This man was cruel! And the side angle is mean. She almost lost her sight to illness she had, so she didn't notice. She named him poor though 😭 Maria Callas 4 ever ❤️🙏
They were after her from the get go starting with the introduction talking about her “tantrums” throwing things etc. also bringing up personal problems illness cancellations and divorce. Then the the rude attack questions. You would think she was on the witness stand being cross examined. The lovely talented lady deserved better.
