After 2 weeks I have 80 items currently listed and 17 sold. Based on my experiences so far, I'd say ebay still likes to be fed new listings every day, people still shop on ebay, and if your items are reasonably priced and you have decent pictures, items will still sell. As I've gone through my room of ebay junk, I've set aside some things simply not worth listing. A board game with 27 listings and zero sold in the last 90 days was not worth buying and is not worth listing, even if brand new. Gotta list items people actually want to buy. It's not quite magic but if you do that and price it fine, it will eventually sell!

The Ebay "algorithm" considers delisting and removing listings as a negative when ranking its accounts. This is why our drafts expire. Ebay does not want its draft banks used as "storage" for listings to be used on other e-commerce sites. Crosslisters beware. Ebay is watching and learning.
@commonwealthflipper Inductive reasoning. If the Ebay "algorithm" is basically a numbers gathering and collating engine, then it would easily know when an account is delisting and removing or delisting and saving as draft more than the average account. If this is causing a lessening of the efficiency of our listings, I do not know. Just a concern.
@@recoilimpulse4946 eBay’s search engine is not “basically a numbers gathering and collating engine.” If that was the case, I could sell at the lowest price immediately and without fail within a few hours of listing an item every time if that was the case. There’s many other factors considered in placement that are not numbers. The other hole in your statement: Then why extend a draft expiration out to 75 Days? eBay likes activity and the use of their available tools. eBay doesn’t care about crossposting, otherwise they wouldn’t let ANY third party connect to their API.
My last 3 days of sales didn't even equal what I normally sell in a day. Last year was around the same at this month. I made more this morning than I made the last 3 days.
So, make a video on how much more can resellers, who make it their full time living, will be able to deal with more of Ebay's inconsistencies on fluctuating sales that we have no control over, whether it be from posting 10+ items daily or their so called algorithm? There are outlets, such as whatnot, that will consistently clear items of the reseller's shelves and bring money into their pockets.
I don't know why people think this is a conspiracy. It is literally in eBay's seller terms that your items may or may not be seen depending on a lot of factors. Your account is on a rotation. The Cassini is a thing. This is why people say it feels like a switch is going on and off. Feast or famine. It literally is like this. So when you get 7 sales in an hour followed by no sales for 24 hours, this is by design. Read the seller terms. It's in there.
the fact is this for ebay there are TO MANY ITEMS for to little buyers there are 1.6 billion active items and only 132 million active buyers thats a 10 to 1 ratio (10 items for every 1 buyer to choice from) it doe snot have to be a 1 to 1 ration 1 item for every buyer but that 10 to 1 ratio has to come down WAY down more like 4 to 1 or 3 to 1 until that happens EBAY is gong to rotate sales THE ON AND OFF SWITCH the Light House affect (when the light shines on you you get sales when the light doe snot shine on you you don't get sales) ebay has the data the KNOW the fact is to many items for to little amount of buyers compared to the Amount of items available
i was saying to my brother that i was not getting any sales 'boom' sold alot of stuff a day later but i just see something on ebay that am stocked about. so i bought a item and i got it and it did not work, opened a return and sent it back, so the buyer got it, then sent me half a refund, saying nothing wrong with it, so i got ebay to step in and i got my money back. so i don't leave Negative feedback unless it a really bad buyer, and this was, so i did and told why i lefted it. well its been removed and when i checked the eBay seller, all his last 6 month of Negative feedback and even the Neutral, has been removed and the seller is classed as eBay Top-rated seller, which am like What! hes feedback was at 92% when i lefted my one and know its back to 99.4%, how is ebay letting this happen,

I like your commentary, but rarely watch as I don't want to spend time scrolling to find the pertinent spot about your Ebay issue as what you have in this vid. I didn't bother to look for the issue of today either. I'm far more interested in the issues you present than what you are selling. I wish you would time stamp the focused commentary on issues. My sales for my comic book graded books on Ebay has been at a crawl for months. I have a Zoom appointment for Whatnot tomorrow to start selling on that platform.

I can’t really time stamp it either as it is weaved through the entire video. Thanks however for trying from time to time. The reason ai do it that way is because most viewers have it on while they work on reselling.
@@commonwealthflipper Your success is fantastic and I know it's a lot of work as I'm working on a kid podcast with my granddaughter. Agreed. I scroll past it as well as u reading other ppl’s comments bc they’re selective. Except for the deletions, we get non-biased comments, in these comments.
Although I do enjoy watching your videos, I do have some thoughts that I thought I'd share. This is just my opinion (been doing reselling for over 40 years) .... but I think UA-camrs filming buys at garage sales might be, in a way, hurting the business for all sellers. I know 'dealers' have been picking sales early for years but .... now ..... UA-cam pickers are throwing it right in their [sale operators] faces with the GoPro cameras, UA-camr meet-ups and Ebay-linked cell phones, checking prices on the fly and chatting among each other about the profit potentials.....right in front of the garage sale operators! I realize times change and technology advances but it seems the [GoPro generation UA-cam pickers] have flooded the landscape and made flipping for profit that much harder.
I understand but I would say that there are probably only a couple dozen who do that in the whole country on a regular basis. Flooding the landscape me be a bit overdone. Cell phones are everywhere and not a result of UA-camrs at all.
@@commonwealthflipper You're welcome! I do think I misstated UA-camrs as the problem. Actually, technology gives us all that 'instant access to knowledge and gratification'. It has taken the guess work out of picking, which I believe takes much of the fun out of it as well. I'm as guilty as anyone. I helped develop an online digital presence for a large group of local newspapers/shoppers back in the early 2000s. All of those [print] newspapers/shoppers are now digital only and the print editions (along with advertising revenue and jobs) are gone.
Ebay sales slow way down in the spring and summer. Its because folks head to fleemarkets and Garage sales. Where they dont get taxed. Folks dont need to pay and wait for days on shipping. I personally not worried about sales as this time of year. I use this time to to increase my inventory and listings. This is due to where I live. I only have 3-4 months to get out and source due to weather.
Kevin, tell American Bubble Boy to restock their 24 packs of 3" tape, and tell them to sell 3" tape guns. They only sell 2" tape guns. What kind of 3" tape guns do you use? Will you create an affiliate link? I would like to give them a shot.
I've NEVER been able to finish one of his videos. He usually begins by teasing something important, -and then he sidetracks viewers with random stuff that he sold and 4 commercials before getting back to the main subject matter. Now I remember why I un-subscribed last year.
I think telling people you sold something for $50 that you paid $1 for is not a good idea. I think some people will be offended by. Remember, resellers seldom talk about 50% of their inventory that may never sell.
Honestly, if ALL the people who didn’t LOVE and actually don’t know the stuff they sell, we’re to quit , the reselling world would be much better, as it was for a loooong time
the way i look at it is, i had to spend hours finding the item, pay for the item, clean and store the item and list the item. I still sell it for less than what others sell for and because the items are vintage and antique and hard to find by people who want the items but can't or don't want to put in the time to find it there is nothing wrong with asking for what the item is worth regardless of the price i paid. also, if i dont make a profit, im not going to look for the item to begin with.
Off the beaten path is right, i asked someone if they had any more stuffies. And a lady said "there is a garage sale down the gravel road outside of town that has a ton" Me and the wife left. Found this garage sale with 4 sweet 80+ year old women running it. 2 canon cameras, a brand new pair of yeezys, and a mint condition 80s handmade mink coat with matching mink hat, in box! Walked out of there for 32$. Both cameras alreasy sold for combined 180$ cdn. May keep the coat and hat for a while. Its beautiful.

The Ebay "algorithm" considers delisting and removing listings as a negative when ranking its accounts. This is why our drafts expire. Ebay does not want its draft banks used as "storage" for listings to be used on other e-commerce sites. Crosslisters beware. Ebay is watching and learning.
Proof?
Where did you read this?
@commonwealthflipper Inductive reasoning. If the Ebay "algorithm" is basically a numbers gathering and collating engine, then it would easily know when an account is delisting and removing or delisting and saving as draft more than the average account. If this is causing a lessening of the efficiency of our listings, I do not know. Just a concern.
@@recoilimpulse4946 eBay’s search engine is not “basically a numbers gathering and collating engine.”
If that was the case, I could sell at the lowest price immediately and without fail within a few hours of listing an item every time if that was the case.
You seem like a stand up guy, wishing much success.
If EBAY, Amazon have technical problems, I would guess they won't divulge it. Information like that affects the Stock Price.
Ebay expects sellers to be perfect. But Ebay gets a pass when they mess things up.
My last 3 days of sales didn't even equal what I normally sell in a day. Last year was around the same at this month. I made more this morning than I made the last 3 days.
Thanks for all the great videos.
Every single small and big business is a reseller! They purchase items cheaper than they sell them. We are no different
An interesting post relevant to some of your previous videos
Itd be cool to see a video on your yard sale strategy if you haven't already
How many listings do you normally keep up on eBay?
15-1700
@commonwealthflipper boy, I have ways to go. I just started. I have 109. Lol. Thanks for responding.
Wow! That makes me want to jump on their shitty platform.
Isn't it the right time to go big on tupperware ? I mean the stop producing soon, or already have?!
If you are selling and others aren't maybe others need to take a look on what you are doing to sell. Great job Kevin 😊
He's on UA-cam advertising his stuff. Not everyone wants to be on UA-cam
the fact is this for ebay there are TO MANY ITEMS for to little buyers there are 1.6 billion active items and only 132 million active buyers thats a 10 to 1 ratio (10 items for every 1 buyer to choice from) it doe snot have to be a 1 to 1 ration 1 item for every buyer but that 10 to 1 ratio has to come down WAY down more like 4 to 1 or 3 to 1 until that happens EBAY is gong to rotate sales THE ON AND OFF SWITCH the Light House affect (when the light shines on you you get sales when the light doe snot shine on you you don't get sales) ebay has the data the KNOW the fact is to many items for to little amount of buyers compared to the Amount of items available
Had a good month of May then all of a sudden everything stopped, Ebay, Mecari,Poshmark
i was saying to my brother that i was not getting any sales 'boom' sold alot of stuff a day later
but i just see something on ebay that am stocked about.
so i bought a item and i got it and it did not work, opened a return and sent it back, so the buyer got it, then sent me half a refund, saying nothing wrong with it, so i got ebay to step in and i got my money back. so i don't leave Negative feedback unless it a really bad buyer, and this was, so i did and told why i lefted it. well its been removed and when i checked the eBay seller, all his last 6 month of Negative feedback and even the Neutral, has been removed and the seller is classed as eBay Top-rated seller, which am like What! hes feedback was at 92% when i lefted my one and know its back to 99.4%, how is ebay letting this happen,
My sales are dead. But I have only 600+ items listed...
I wish I had 2 of me. one just to list. I dont sell as much when im not actively listing. If im not shipping then ill be listing. kind of a vicious cycle for a one man operation
Another great video Kevin! Keep them coming. 💛🙏🏻💛
Yes at least timestamp the subject matter in the title. Tell us where to look
Sometimes it is easier to just read the comments.
That is not the style of my videos. This is and will always be a what sold channel. I’m sorry that you don’t like it that way it is just my style.
If something really really interests me I'll scroll around to try and find the pertinent info but I'm also dealing with my time. It's like having to watch long intros for a movie at the theater when I just want the action to start. It is what it is.
Agreed. I scroll past it as well as u reading other ppl’s comments bc they’re selective. Except for the deletions, we get non-biased comments, in these comments.
Put your cap back on
Although I do enjoy watching your videos, I do have some thoughts that I thought I'd share.
Either way thank you for watching and the kind way you stated it.
I have 11 sales this month : [ tons of watchers and zero buyers. I send offers every day, I change my starting bid price.....NOTHING WORKS ......
Hear kitty, kitty 🐈⬛ how cute!
I vote year of bubble wrap. That would be huge for me anyway! Lol
Keep pushing on.
For me it’s been 2 weeks without a sale.
With how many items listed?
74 now, about 20 came due last night without a sale.
16:01 Sure looks like your shed is sinking in the ground.
?
Ebay sales slow way down in the spring and summer. Its because folks head to fleemarkets and Garage sales. Where they dont get taxed. Folks dont need to pay and wait for days on shipping.
I personally not worried about sales as this time of year.
I use this time to to increase my inventory and listings. This is due to where I live. I only have 3-4 months to get out and source due to weather.
I wish I could not worry about sales, but I use my ebay money to buy groceries. 😒
Yes I was consistently selling now nothing. Nothing like yours.
Hey Kevin 😊😊
Kevin, tell American Bubble Boy to restock their 24 packs of 3" tape, and tell them to sell 3" tape guns. They only sell 2" tape guns. What kind of 3" tape guns do you use? Will you create an affiliate link? I would like to give them a shot.
Yeah if I can remember. Joel knows
Dang man, aren't people allowed to have a bad day lol? Who's to say you should be selling 15 items a day to get by well?
The comments where people are getting mad at you for being honest. 😂😅. What an upside down world we live in. Truth is bad because it’s offensive. Lmao
Don't bibles ship media mail?
yes. The buyer said the would but that day but only if I shipped it priority mail.
It wouldn't fit in a flat rate padded envelope? It may have been too large for that but I couldn't tell.@@commonwealthflipper
Hi.
You been doing this for a while with lots of products and success makes me scared to do it On ebay
Good.
😂
Ive not sold caca in april and may. Ebay sux the last 3 years
This week horrible for me
Pepper is comical
What you drinking. I’m a tequila guy.
Aren't you tired of people who are rude and jealous?
ah it's ok. Everybody is in a different place at different times in life. I've been in bad places too I suppose.
👍
I've NEVER been able to finish one of his videos. He usually begins by teasing something important, -and then he sidetracks viewers with random stuff that he sold and 4 commercials before getting back to the main subject matter. Now I remember why I un-subscribed last year.
Sophia's karma will make you $ .
What’s offensive about it? 🤷🏼♀️ Anyone who wants to can do the same thing…
I think telling people you sold something for $50 that you paid $1 for is not a good idea. I think some people will be offended by. Remember, resellers seldom talk about 50% of their inventory that may never sell.
Is that your own situation with 50% of your inventory never going to sell. I think that’s the biggest danger in this business: Dead inventory.
@@daviddennstedt9191 probably 40% because I usually buy things cheaply in bulk, so losing a lot of money is not a worry, just taking up space.
If 50 percent of what I buy didn’t sell I think I would quit
Videos are always to long
Maybe watch half
Off the beaten path is right, i asked someone if they had any more stuffies. And a lady said "there is a garage sale down the gravel road outside of town that has a ton"
Me and the wife left.
It’s always slow this time of year people are outside not on their computers. You make it hard for resellers when you brag about turning 1.00 into 50
eBay is dead and is a sinking ship let's be honest.
Mid video debit advert, I’m outta here….

Better just go on back to teaching pal. Go back while you still can.
