Omg thinking about building my Hanger Bay 2 years ago still gives me a headache. These plastic hanger bay parts are terrible to work with. The walls don’t really fit nice and the smaller plastic parts break easily. But the thing that still gives me nightmares is the painting of the details on those walls (fences, cables etc). That sayd it still looks awesome to this day and it’s a real eye catcher.
@@juanworkshoplatino I started with duct tape on the back. on one side cover my LEDDS, but most important to give the walls something extra to hold on too. After a month after I added some extra leds I gave up and glued them together 😋
Thanks bro! Sorry for the late response. It is actually a led bulb that change color with a remote control, you can find it on Amazon for around 10 bucks. I used also a black light bulb and the Ulanzi VL49 that change colors, that one is 20 bucks in AliExpress. Hope that helps!
Hi! sorry for the late response. Sure thing, you need a waterslide decal paper, I bought mine in my local hobby store, but they sell those in amazon, just search. "waterslide decal paper". They come in two models: for inkjet printer and for laser printer. Mine were for inkjet printer. The idea is that you print your decals and then apply on top some varnish, you have to test if your varnish is compatible because some water base varnish damage the ink in the decal. As for the images in the decals, i bought some decals templates in artstation marketplace for just 2 dollars (go to artstation dot com and the to marketplace and then search for "decals"), then I just arrange them in photoshop so I could print all the decals in just 1 single page, and then i cut them by hand, add some water in the back of the paper so the decal detach more easily, and then apply a little bit of water on the model and of top of that the decal :) Hope that helps! cheers!
Thank you man! I did use just one set. You can find them in aliexpress in different sets, this one is the biggest one i could find at a good price. You can search in aliexpress this: "High Quality 30 x 45 x 33cm Soldier Hand-made Base Special Forces Background Board for Mecha Model - Type I" It cost around 55 bucks + shipping.
Thank you man! it took me around three weeks, but i was working for about 1 to 3 hours a day on it. And i was recording the process at the same time, so, it's hard to know exactly the amount of time :( Thanks for the sub! I saw your channel, you have really cool stuff there! hi Marquis! I don't have a guide :( but I can give you some tips that might be helpful. The things that you need to keep in mind are: 1) Make a parallel wiring, (you can search for: parallel circuit wiring) that way you can plug a battery that doesn't requieres a lot of energy. A 3V battery will do the job. 2)Do not use a dimmer because most of these kind of led's don't work with variable electricity. 3)check that all your led's share the same voltage, sometimes they have a slightly different voltage and if you surpass that level some led's might explode. If the led's have different voltages then you will have to add a resistor to decrease the amount of electricity that the LED is gonna receive, so my advice is to try to buy leds that share the same volts. I will put in the description box the led's that i have bought. And that's it bro, I hope this answer was helpful and gives you an idea of where to start!
haha, yeah! nothing like make your own decals 😎! I bought it in aliexpress, however it's are sold out :( I search today the store and it no longer exist... the only one I found is more expensive. I payed 65 uds for all the hangar at the time (2019). I will update the description of the video with the link i found. cheers 🍻!
I bought it on aliexpress, last time I checked it was no longer available as a single set, but you can buy it as separated kits, just search in aliexpress: "gundam base hangar" and you will find most of the parts, hope that helps!
This is dope. The ideal stuff always comes from DIY
hell yeah! Nothing like customize your own stuff 🙌!
